According to one example embodiment, an assembly of articles distributes one pill at a time in the form of a single-pill dispensing apparatus that includes a pill-storage container and such a pill-filtering article. The container has an inner wall, an upper portion with a rim region where a cap may be secured, and a lower portion for containing pills. The pill-filtering article has a size and a shape that facilitates securing the article inside the pill-storage container near the inner wall, above the lower portion, and below the upper rim region, and also configured with a plurality of channel-defining regions including a first channel-defining region through which one-pill at a time passes and including a second channel-defining region through which one pill at a time passes.

The upper surface of the container has an apex intermediate a first region and a second region and the container sidewall defines an opening sized and configured to release at least one of the products. The package also includes an outer cover having an upper section and a cover sidewall depending from the upper section. The outer cover is configured to retain the container and selectively seal the opening. The container pivots about the apex to transition between open and closed positions.

Abstract: A modified flexible package includes a front elastomeric wall and a rear elastomeric wall. The front wall and the rear wall are sealed together at a top seal at a top end of the side walls. The top seal is formed by applying heat and/or pressure for a given dwell period, and is preferably a de-laminating seal. A first zipper part is attached to an inside surface of the front wall and has a first engagement member facing the rear wall. A second zipper part is attached to an inside surface of the rear wall and has a second engagement member facing the front wall. The first and second engagement members are engaged together. Both the top seal and the zipper engagement members are “pinch-grip opened” under a pinch-grip pulling force applied to the front and rear walls below the zipper. The front and rear walls have a strength sufficient to resist tearing and deformation under the application of the pinch-grip pulling force during pinch-grip opening.

The fastener (26) has a tamper-proof member attached thereto to indicate if the bag has been previously opened. The film (55) can be wound into a roll (54) suitable for use on conventional bag making machines including form, fill, and seal machines or a chain of coilable reclosable bags can be produced therefrom since the fasteners (26) are connected to the web preferably transversely to the bags longitudinal formation axis.

A liquid stirring port is provided at the top face portion, and a liquid injecting and ejecting port are provided at a lower end of a rear face portion of the peripheral face portion. Container suspending pieces and bottom face portion fixing pieces are mounted at the top face portion of the container and at four corners of the bottom face portion. During washing, the container can be washed reliably and efficiently while the inside of the spread out container can be visually checked by efficiently utilizing the air tight, water resistant slide fastener, liquid stirring port, liquid injecting and ejecting port, and container suspending pieces, and bottom face port fixing pieces.

Abstract: A security device for a slide fastener, including a housing adapted to be fitted to an object to which the slide fastener is attached, the housing substantially surrounding the slider of the slide fastener in its fully closed position, a closure member adapted to cooperate with the housing which, in use, covers the slider to prevent access thereto and a frangible locking element adapted to link the housing to the closure member, the locking element being resiliently yieldable and slidably insertable into the closure member but not retractable therefrom without fracturing the frangible locking element. The closure member is attached at one end to a puller and the puller is attached to the slider. In a preferred embodiment the closure member can pivot about the housing and block withdrawal of the slider from the housing in its closed position.

The front and rear walls have a strength sufficient to resist tearing and deformation under the application of the pinch-grip pulling force during pinch-grip opening.

A bag with the snap zipper is structured to fuse the snap zipper through the bases onto the bag body.

Abstract: A bag with a snap zipper according to the present invention has a bag body produced to cause the snap zipper to fuse via a portion for fusion to the bag body to a layer composed of a polyester type resin on the bag body. In the present invention, at least a portion in the snap zipper to be fused to the bag body is made of a material mainly composed of a polyester type elastomer or a polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) resin and that the resin of the portion for fusion has a bending modulus of elasticity of 10,000 kg/cm.sup.2 or below. At least its portion for fusion is made of a material having a composition including polyester type elastomer and a polyolefin type resin or polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) resin and a polyolefin type resin and that the content of the polyolefin type resin in the composition is 3 to 50% by weight.

Abstract: An improved container for the storage, display and protection of collectable items such as graded coins, stamps, jewels and other valuables is disclosed. Display of the collectable items is enhanced by an optical element which provides reflective means for viewing the item indirectly. A reflecting prismatic ring is preferred to provide viewing of the periphery of a cavity or the collectable item enclosed therein. In a second embodiment where two or more components may completely enclose the cavity, various tamper-resistant and tamper-evidencing features are further incorporated in the container design to discourage and prevent fraudulent substitutions of collectable items, modification of grade and value certificates enclosed therewith, or counterfeiting of container components.

The case also has a cover portion that defines a second compartment with releasable strap structure for securing a shaving system that includes a razor handle and a storage member that carries a plurality of razor cartridges against the inner surface of the top wall of the cover. Hinge structure that connects the rear wall of the base portion and the rear wall of the cover portion allows convenient accessibility to the razor and toiletry components when the case is open, and closure structure holds corresponding surfaces of the base and cover portions in juxtaposed relation when the case is closed.

Abstract: A soft container for dental appliances includes a shell having a top and a bottom panel interconnected by a hinge panel. All of the shell panels are formed of a single piece of water repellent fabric. A lip extends along the periphery of the top and bottom panels and the case is opened and closed with a slide fastener which selectively joins the opposed lips. A replaceable liner is formed of a unitary slab of compressible foam which is folded into leaves adjacent the hinge panel. Between the two leaves of the liner, one or more dental appliances such as denture or orthodontic plates are placed and the shell is then closed with the slide fastener.

Abstract: A ventilated rack case for alternatively transporting and operating a rack mountable unit of electronic equipment includes an inner rectangular frame, which is open at the front and back, shock absorbing material, e.g. foam, surrounding the frame, and an outer cover over the foam. For ventilation, cutouts are provided in the foam and frame and a protective screen is secured in the openings. The cover includes front and back flaps for selectively closing the front and back openings of the frame. A top ventilation flap is configured to cooperate with the cutouts to provide ventilation. The flaps can be closed for storing and transporting the rack, and opened for use to allow access to the control panels and proper ventilation of the electronic equipment without removal from the case.

Abstract: A sewn polyolefin in fabric bag which uses the molded shapes of the polyolefin material to form a shaped enclosure. Enclosure means and a fabric hinge are sewn directly to the polyolefin enclosure means to form the completed bag. The bags formed in this manner have many of the advantages of both soft and hard shelled bags. The polyolefin material is capable of providing a predetermined shape but has a soft exterior surface and is deformable. Sewing can be done using conventional sewing techniques. Polyolefin materials have not previously been usable in this manner because of their inability to bond or weld in reliable manner to other materials.

Abstract: An equipment bag is provided particularly designed for use with a video camera and characterized by an internal open-topped pouch generally semi-circularly shaped with a Velcro patch on one side which mates at any desirable position along another Velcro patch mounted on one or both of the internal surfaces of the sidewalls of the body of the bag, the pouch being intended to hold video accessories and ordinarily would lie inside the bag alongside the lens of the camera, which is narrower than the camera body. Other salient features include a specialized four-way opening zippered top, a tripod holder and a comfortable shoulder strap with a built-in shock cord feature.

Abstract: In order to wrap individual slide-fastener units in plastic display envelopes enabling the testing of their sliders without removal from the package, a continuous strip of preferably transparent thermoplastic sheet material is advanced together with an integral series of such units past a cutting station where the units are separated from one another with simultaneous severance of the plastic strip. The latter, on approaching the cutting station, is folded from opposite sides around the outer edges of the carrier bands supporting the interlinked coupling elements of the units, the resulting flaps being kept spaced apart by a median gap exposing the juxtaposed coupling elements as well as the associated slider. The flaps are fastened with light adhesive bonding to opposite ends of the stringer tapes cut from the carrier bands.
