Mercurial Suspension And Mercurial Adhesion Patents (Class 209/41)
  • Patent number: 7434513
Abstract: Systems and methods for aligning High Density Array (“HDA”) pin plates, substrates and reservoirs with respect to each other. The system includes a flexure having a flexible print head, elongated members flexibly connected off-axis to the system and a pin plate support assembly detachably connected to the flexure allowing the pin plate assembly to adapt its position during a printing operation. The pin plate has alignment ball receptacles on its surface and the reservoir has alignment balls on its surface facing the pin plate. The pin plate is positioned with respect to the reservoir such that each of the alignment balls is located within one of the alignment ball receptacles to achieve the alignment. Once the pin plate is aligned, it is secured to a supporting assembly such as a vacuum bridge, and inking and printing operations are performed.

  • Patent number: 4494986
Abstract: A process and apparatus for extracting gold fines and other precious metals dissolved or suspended in water and not usually visible to the naked eye by circulating a stream of water determined to contain such gold fines and the like downwardly through a tank and into contact with electrostatically charged particles of mercury thereby causing any gold or other precious metals in the water to react with the mercury forming amalgams. The gold and other precious metals may then be separated from the amalgams by any suitable techniques known in the art.

  • Patent number: 4003557
Abstract: A cementation apparatus is provided wherein the reaction surface thereof can be increased without changing the outer dimensions. There is provided at least one inner cylinder which is freely mounted in an outer cylinder and placed one within the other. The inner cylinders are perforated along their outer surfaces and are preferably open at both ends as is the outer cylinder. In the cylinder assembly, all the cylinders as well as the cylinder assembly are rotated. A slurry containing material to be treated as well as the amalgam is fed into the cylinders and on rotating the cylinders, the slurry is picked up by the surface of each of the cylinders so as to provide a reaction area for cementation which is equal to the sum of the surface area of all the internal cylinders and inner surface area of the outer cylinder.
