  • Patent number: 5318186
Abstract: A screening apparatus is disclosed having at least one housing attachment element and a main housing element, each of which has a hollow cylindrical and/or truncated-cone-shaped housing outer wall. The apparatus includes at least two coaxial, predominantly rotationally symmetrical screen baskets and a rotor having pulsation elements. An accepts chamber is disposed radially outside the screen baskets and the rotor and pulsation elements are disposed radially inside the screen baskets. An inlet of the housing is disposed centrally in the area between the screen baskets and an outlet channel allowing for access in the area between the two screen baskets. The invention is characterized in that at least in the area of the screen baskets, only one main housing element and one attachment element are provided and that the first screen basket is disposed in the attachment element and the second screen basket is disposed in the main housing element.

  • Patent number: 4642180
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved portable lightweight apparatus for the separation of gold and similar metals from pulverized ore, sand, debris and the like. More particularly, the invention is a portable lightweight apparatus which uses currents of air to separate gold from sand and debris, in which the apparatus includes in combination a frame, an optionally detachable screen rack, an optionally detachable hopper, an inclined riffle board which contains holes through which air currents jet and an attached bellows to provide the currents of air to separate the gold particles from the debris, and a means to operate the bellows one side of which is in combination with the riffle board and a means to operate the bellows. In one instance, one solid side of the bellows is the bottom of the riffle board.

  • Patent number: 4549960
Abstract: Apparatus for cleaning, aerating and fumigating grain comprises chutes having screens therein over which the grain is passed. Conduits interconnect the chutes with a blower mechanism so that the grain to be cleaned is subjected to a vacuum which causes the fine debris, trash and the like to be passed through the screen. The fine debris is entrained in a stream of air and directed exteriorly of the grain storage structure. The conduits connected to the blower assembly may be detached from the grain cleaning chutes and connected to tubes inserted into the grain to permit heated gases and moisture to be removed from the stored grain. An air entrained fumigant may also be directed through the tubes into the grain for controlling insects and the like.

  • Patent number: 4498981
Abstract: An anti-blinding grain, seed and like particulate cleaning and grading machine includes a gyrating support frame assembly, and mechanism for vibrating the assembly. Horizontally inclined opposed guide members extend along the side members of the assembly on the interior face thereof at a horizontally inclined angle to project interiorly thereof. The separating screen for separating overs and unders has side rails which are supported by the flanges which project outwardly from the side rails of a clearer ball tray to overlie the guide members. Balls trapped in the ball tray are deflected upwardly with the gyrating motion to engage the separating screen and keep it from becoming blinded. Swingable clamp shoes clamp the screen side rails and the ball tray side rails against the guide members.

  • Patent number: 4278535
Abstract: Several illustrative embodiments of this invention are shown and described. The screen deck for screening machines is assembled from rectangular screen members, preferably formed from a suitable synthetic material. These screen members abut one another directly to form a continuous screen surface. The screen members have at the edges of their undersides projections which complement one another in pairs along the abutting surfaces on only the longitudinal edges of the members. Longitudinally oriented support struts underneath the screens have aligned holes which engage the projections and thereby sustain the entire screening surface.
