  • Patent number: 11660633
Abstract: A method of controlling spread pattern of a particulate material broadcasted by a spinner spreader involves permitting particulate material to flow through a plurality of sluices situated in a particulate material path between a bin and a rotatable disc of a spinner spreader. Each sluice receives a portion of the particulate material and delivers the portion of particulate material to a radial and/or angular position on the rotatable disc. The radial and/or angular position on the rotatable disc to which the portion of particulate material from at least one of sluices is delivered is adjusted by longitudinally translating the at least one independently moveable sluice independent of all other sluices of the plurality of sluices to change position of the at least one independently moveable sluice relative to the rotating disc thereby changing the spread pattern of the particulate material broadcasted by the rotatable disc.

  • Patent number: 9874535
Abstract: A moisture meter for determining the moisture content of particulate material is provided. The moisture meter comprises a frame part, a space, a measuring cup disposed within said space for receiving a sample of the particulate material which moisture is to be measured, and moisture measuring means. The moisture meter comprises a swiping means for removing at least partly a part of a sample of particulate material which moisture is to be measured, which part of the sample of particulate material extends out of the inner space of the measuring cup through the open end of the measuring cup. The swiping means are movably attached to the frame part for movement in a swiping path where a swiping member of the swiping means is configured to move essentially along the open end of the measuring cup.

  • Patent number: 4708789
Abstract: An apparatus for separating granular material such as crushed coal or ore that includes particles of different specific gravity. The apparatus includes an elongated frame defining a receiving chute and a discharge chute. A plurality of hydraulic cells are supported in tanden on the frame, each cell including a wave chamber, a screen forming a material supporting floor submerged in the wave chamber, plungers for cyclically raising and lowering the water level in the wave chamber and a refuse bin adapted to receive heavier particles that are separated out in the wave chamber and that collect above the screen. The wave chambers define a flow channel extending from the receiving chute to the discharge chute and adapted to contain a suspension or slurry of the crushed particles.

  • Patent number: 3966592
Abstract: Dewatering apparatus is provided, for use in the treatment of particulate material in water, particularly suspensions of sand in water. The apparatus is also provided with means for classifying sand or like particulate material by size. The apparatus employs a sloped trough extending upwardy from a well having sand and water therein, and with a longitudinally moveable rake being provided, with a particularly novel mechanized raking motion, preferably hydraulically operated. The classifying is done by varying the inflow and consequently the overflow of water through the apparatus, varying the water flow from spray pipes extending along side of the discharge trough, or by speeding up the operation of the apparatus.
