  • Patent number: 11833470
Abstract: A single-stage or multi-stage biological odor control treatment system for the removal of target vapor compounds from a contaminated air stream consisting of a first stage (onsite non-potable water treatment) where raw collection system non-potable water is extracted from the sewer collection system, screened and sprayed over a media bed where it is treated to secondary effluent water quality and is collected in a tank. The onsite non-potable water treatment system effluent is then pumped to the biological odor control system. This onsite non-potable water treatment system effluent is used for irrigating either a single media bed, or multiple media beds, which require continuous moisture and a source of nutrients. The microorganisms use the odorous compounds in the foul air stream as a food source. Treated air is then discharged to the atmosphere. The odor control treatment system drain water is then returned into the source containment collection point.

  • Patent number: 11724945
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for monitoring the fill level of salt in a brine tank of a water softener system. Distance measurements may be taken by a wireless-enabled smart sensor device disposed at an interior surface of a brine tank cover. Calibration of the smart sensor device may include taking distance measurements corresponding to different fill levels of the brine tank, obtaining at least one corresponding user-defined fill ratio, and storing these as calibration data. Subsequent distance measurements may be used to determine a current fill ratio based on the calibration data. If the current fill ratio is below a threshold value, an alert may be sent to the user device indicating that salt should be added. If the current fill ratio is above a previous fill ratio, an alert may be sent to the user device requesting recalibration of the smart sensor device.

  • Patent number: 10967335
Abstract: A water container with an ozone diffuser is an apparatus that is used to diffuse ozone gas into water that is either flowing through the apparatus or is retained by the apparatus. The apparatus includes an aeration chamber, an ozone generator coupler, a distribution hub, a plurality of porous tubes, and a degassing unit. The ozone generator coupler allows the apparatus to connect with a pressurized supply of ozone gas. The aeration chamber is used to retain the water that is currently being aerated by the ozone gas. The distribution hub receives the ozone gas from the ozone generator coupler and distributes the ozone gas amongst the porous tubes. The ozone gas is then evenly inserted from the porous tubes into the water retained by the aeration chamber. The degassing unit is used to neutralize the excess ozone before exhausting the excess ozone into the apparatus's surroundings.

Abstract: A method and system for performing maintenance on a membrane having semi-permeable properties and is used in a pressure retarded osmosis PRO, the membrane having a high pressure first side and second side of lower pressure. A time controllable first valve or pump (31; 41; 51; 61; 71; 81; 91) is connected between an input (12) to the low pressure side of the membrane (13?) and an input (11) to the high pressure side of the membrane (13?), said first valve or pump operable to selectively deliver a plug (21) of a second type of water (FW) to the first side of the membrane to lower concentration of dissolved substance (s) in water of a first type (SW) thereat, thereby creating a PRO pressure backwash function with the water of the second type (FW) from the first to the second side of the membrane pressurized on said first side by high pressure supply of water of the first type (SW) upstream of said plug (21) of water of the second type (SW).

Abstract: A pressurized wastewater effluent chlorination system including a treatment tank defining a contact chamber and an aeration chamber. The treatment tank receives wastewater effluent. The system includes a pressure vessel within a liquid chlorine storage container positioned in or near the treatment tank. Preferably, the pressure vessel is a floating vessel having a check valve at its bottom, enabling the vessel to fill with a predetermined amount or measured charge of chlorine depending on the position of a float on the vessel. In response to a timer control or float switch, a valve operates to communicate air pressure from a compressor to the vessel to displace the measured charge of liquid chlorine into the wastewater effluent in the contact chamber. Effluent flow and air discharge into the contact chamber enhances mixing of the chlorine and the effluent.
