Abstract: An assembly for treating wastewater may include a vessel having an inlet configured to direct wastewater into the vessel and an outlet configured to direct treated water out of the vessel. The inlet and the outlet are generally disposed at opposite ends of the longitudinal dimension of the vessel such that the wastewater generally flows in the longitudinal direction. The assembly includes at least one panel removably inserted into the vessel. The at least one panel extends substantially across a width dimension of the vessel, wherein the width dimension is generally perpendicular to the longitudinal dimension. The panel includes a biofilm-coated matrix that permits the flow of wastewater through the panel. The vessel and panel are sized and arranged such that the wastewater is exposed to the biofilm-coated matrix for a time sufficient to remove a desired metal from the wastewater.

Abstract: A welded wire mesh is rolled into an elongated tubular wire frame, and sizing rings surround the tubular wire frame to maintain the tubular frame with a predetermined diameter. The wire frame is partially covered with a sediment filter fabric attached by wire clips, and an end portion of the tubular frame is inserted into an inlet portion of an installed storm water pipe. A collar member includes a wire collar frame secured to the tubular wire frame and is covered by a flexible filter material to filter storm water flowing between the tubular frame and the water pipe and to form a stop which prevents the tubular frame from moving further into the pipe. A top portion of the tubular wire frame is uncovered by filter fabric to define an overflow opening for storm water with very light sediment to flow into the storm water pipe.

Abstract: Collected rainwater is led to a rainwater containing section by an inflow path. A water-permeable tube body extends vertically in the middle of a vertical pipe located immediately before a position at which the rainwater flows into the rainwater containing section. A bag-like filter having an open upper end and a closed lower end is contained in the tube body or covers an outer side of the tube body, and the bag-like filter captures dust in the rainwater while allowing the rainwater to pass through the bag-like filter. A mounting and dismounting means is provided to the vertical tube in order to dismount the tube body and the filter from the vertical pipe and to mount the tube body and the filter to the vertical pipe.
