Radially Movable Patents (Class 213/12)
  • Patent number: 9919721
Abstract: Disclosed is a front suspension system having overload protection. The system comprises a mounting seat, a centering device, a support device used for supporting a coupling buffer and a coupling end pin, wherein the mounting seat is connected to a railway vehicle body, and the centering device and the support device are both installed on the mounting seat. The system further has a coupling connection seat and an overload protection element, wherein the coupling connection seat comprises a base and a coupling connection part connected as one with the base. The base is connected to a rear face of the mounting seat by means of the overload protection element. The coupling connection part passes through a through hole provided in the middle of the mounting seat and is connected with the coupling buffer by means of the coupling end pin. The coupling connection part is closely fitted with the through hole. The front suspension system has a simple structure and is lightweight.

  • Patent number: 7913865
Abstract: A supporting device is provided to vertically support a coupling rod of a coupling pivotably articulated in the vertical direction to a car body underframe by a bearing block. The supporting device makes contact with the coupling rod by a support, wherein the supporting device includes a mount connected to the support which is fixed to the car body underframe of the vehicle. In order to enable the interference-free retraction of the central buffer coupling toward the car body in the event of a crash, the mount includes a connecting element by which the support is connected to the mount and which defines a rotational axis about which the support can rotate relative the connecting element.

  • Patent number: 7798345
Abstract: An articulated coupling for rail vehicles is composed of a fork head having two fork pieces and of a coupling link. The coupling link accommodates a spherical joint which is traversed by a pin secured in the fork head. To fasten the pin in the fork piece, there is provided a wedge which is arranged in the axial direction of the pin and has a concavely curved surface adapted to the cylindrical curvature of the surface of the pin.

  • Patent number: 7055705
Abstract: A central buffer coupling for coupling a first rail car body with a second, adjacent rail car body of a multiple-unit rail vehicle, has a coupling head pivotally connected by a coupling shaft to a linking housing of the rail car body, and a pivoting unit pivoting the coupling shaft. The pivoting unit has a guide participating in horizontal pivoting of the shaft that runs about a vertical pivot axis. Pressure surfaces symmetrical to the longitudinal axis of the shaft which correspond to a respective pressure device, bring about horizontal re-centering of the shaft. The respective pressure devices are supported on the linking housing of the shaft to bias the related pressure surfaces against the guide. The guide is positionable with the action-linked coupling shaft in every position of the planned pivot region, via an activation device.

  • Patent number: 4586620
Abstract: An alignment device for railroad car couplers including a central flexible portion with a pair of swivelable end portions connectable between couplers of adjacent cars. Each of the end portions includes a protruding stud adapted to engage an opening preformed in the knuckle body. The device end portions and their studs are inserted between misaligned adjacent couplers. One steady pull of the engine aligns the couplers so that two cars may then be quickly joined together without requiring the trainman to stand between the cars during the coupling operation.

  • Patent number: 4064998
Abstract: The invention relates to a rapid transit draft rigging for an automatic coupler wherein a draft gear cushioning device is held within a pocket of a housing exterior to a drawbar that will release by a predetermined force to provide long free travel, permitting the coupler and draft gear arrangement to move out of the way so that they are not damaged by an accident that deforms the end of the car.
