    Abstract: An apparatus is provided for cleaning paint rollers and/or brushes. It comprises a roller cover/brush holder that may be coupled to a drill or other power tool, and a container and cap assembly. Advantageously, the container accommodates the holder and a roller cover or paintbrush with a minimal effective volume of cleanser. The cap closes and substantially seals the container to contain spray or spillage during high-speed rotation of the holder within the container. In use, the container is filled with cleanser, such as soapy water, and the roller is spun for several minutes. The container is drained, then refilled with rinse water and the process is repeated as needed. The roller or brush may be spun dry after cleaning, or between wash and rinse cycles. The apparatus provides effective cleaning with a reduced volume of water or cleanser and requires minimal clean-up.

The cap is mounted to seal a wide mouth style of opening formed at the upper end of the body. A conical ring is formed on the periphery of the dome and engages an undercut interior surface adjacent to the mouth. To open the container, a pulling member is pulled thereby severing the sealing engagements between the cap and the mouth, releasing the internal pressure and opening the container.

    Abstract: A child resistant container construction. The dispensing opening of the container is normally closed by a plug having a pull tab thereon. The plug is removable and reinsertable in the dispensing opening. The plug is formed so that it is distortable. A rigid, rotary locking member is carried by the plug. In one angular position on the plug, the locking member prevents distortion of the plug and thereby prevents plug removal. In a second angular position on the plug, the locking member permits distortion of the plug upon pulling the pull tab, thereby permitting its removal from the dispensing opening. In other embodiments, the locking member can be completely removed from the plug to permit plug distortion and removal.

    Abstract: An improved vapor-seal, child-resistant closure and container combination is disclosed herein. An annular integral rim or abutment is provided on the annular surface of the top panel of the closure and depends downwardly therefrom. A unique, one-piece, vapor-seal liner is interposed between the annular abutment and the lugs for engagement with the upper end of the container. The one-piece liner comprises a disc member which engages the annular rim of the container and includes a downwardly depending plug member which provides a vapor-tight seal with the inside surface of the container.
