Abstract: The invention concerns a fixing device for a fluid product dispenser adapted for mounting on a container or reservoir which has a neck. A dispensing member is mounted on the reservoir neck. The neck has an outer peripheral thickness defining, with the rest of the neck, a lower shoulder. The fixing device comprises a fixing ring to fix the dispensing member on the neck. The fixing ring comprises a peripheral skirt extending up to beneath the shoulder. The skirt is provided with flaps, the ends of which point inwards and upwards and are urged to stop in contact against the shoulder thereby providing a catching mechanism for the fixing ring on the reservoir neck.

The cap is provided with an internal structure and an external structure movable with respect to one another among closed, intermediate and open cap positions. A plurality of hooks is provided on the internal structure for grasping a bead on the container when the cap is in the closed and intermediate cap positions. Ribs, disposed on the external structure, include upper extremities which prevent the cap from being placed directly from the closed cap position into the open cap position. Pressure relief of the container, if any, occurs in the intermediate cap position. The external structure of the cap defines a safety seal for indicating that the cap has been moved from the closed position.

Abstract: A container safety cap having an internal structure and an external structure for sealing an end of a container, vessel or conduit, for example. A safety seal is placed across a surface formed from the internal and external structures. Movement of either structure will cause the seal to break and indicate a violation of the integrity of the seal. The external structure will, in a closed position, force hooks of the internal structure into a groove of the container being sealed. Movement of the external structure into an open position will allow removal of the internal structure, together with the external structure, from the container being sealed. The container can be resealed by having the internal structure of the cap fitted onto the container, followed by displacement of the external structure to lock the hooks of the internal structure in place.

Abstract: A baby bottle feeding assembly is disclosed which includes a hood type enclosure for the nipple, when the bottle is not in use. During periods of bottle use, the hood is stored over the opposite end of the bottle. In order to positively retain the hood in either its nipple protecting or storage condition, the hood includes raised beads, which cooperatively engage complementary protrusions at either end of the bottle so as to provide a positive locking engagement. This engagement may be manually defeatable when it is desired to move the hood to its other desired position on the bottle. When the hood is locked in the storage condition, it is substantially co-extensive with the bottom region of the bottle, so as not to significantly extend beyond the bottle proper.

Abstract: The display and applicator container for waxy products comprise a body of substantially oval shape in cross-section and having a bearing surface, and a cap having to be tightly closed and containing a sealing gasket in correspondence with the bearing surface of the body. The sealing gasket is made by a cover fitted inside the cap by centering and latching members. The cover defines an annular housing fitting over a lip of the body, and formed from an inner rib defined by a tapered inner wall of the cover. The body contains an apertured piston and has a bottom defining an open sheath for introduction in liquid form of a waxy material through the apertured piston so as to be moulded as a cake. The open sheath is closed by a driving member for the piston.

Abstract: A wrist exerciser comprises first and second neck engaging members which each carry a neck receiving recess for engagement around the neck of a bottle. The bottle is at least partly filled with water and acts as a weight. One end of a rope is connected to an upper end of the first and second members while the opposite end of the rope is connected near the middle of a bar. Opposite ends of the bar carry handles which can be held by a user who rotates the bar to roll the rope on the bar and thereby lift and lower the bottle.

Abstract: This structure includes a resilient collar having a central boss with an opening which receives the discharge apparatus, such as a pump or valve. The collar fits over the flange of the container and has an outward protrusion in the form of fingers. A sleeve is sized to slide down over the side of the collar where it surrounds the flange and cams inwardly the protrusion to hold the collar on the container. The improvement relates to a re-entrant portion at the upper end of the sleeve which extends downward in an inner tube terminating at its lower end in a short inward annular flange which grips the sides of a central boss on the collar to keep the sleeve from being vertically displaced.

Abstract: A device for opening a bottle and forming a closure cap for the bottle as a replacement for the removed crown cap. The bottle opener and closure cap includes a split metal ring that encloses a circular metal disc and resilient sealing member which are placed on top of a bottle that has its crown cap removed by the opener. The opener is formed in a handle which has a cam arrangement associated therewith to clamp the ring around the open end of a bottle. The ring includes an inwardly inclined bottom edge to engage a rib on the end of the bottle to cam the disc and sealing member downwardly in tight relationship to the open end of the bottom thereby forming a secure and positive closure cap for the bottle. The pivotal handle includes an opener incorporated therein by which a crown cap can be removed from the bottle.

The food covering includes a method of tightening the food covering, on a bowl or other receptacle, which may be constructed utilizing either a tightenable string or other tie material passed through a pocket located near the perimeter of the food covering, or slits together with adhesive material to facilitate holding the food covering snugly against a receptacle. The assembly comprises a mounting cup having a generally cylindrical skirt around its periphery and a sealing collar including a sleeve having a diameter sized to receive the sidewall of the flange and sized to be encased by the mounting cup. The end portion of the sleeve, preferably a plurality of spaced tabs, is in the path of movement of the mounting cup and is deformed radially inwardly beneath the flange ledge thereby to secure the collar to the flange.

The closure includes a U-shaped spider portion having two opposed pairs of legs, and a disk-shaped plug portion having two opposed pairs of slots for receiving the legs and for fitting within the spider. Each leg includes an inward facing lip at a distal end for engaging a flange around a bottle neck, and an outward seal face for abutting an O-ring encircling the plug. The legs also include, at a proximal end, an inward facing wedge for engaging the slots of the plug whereby the legs may be urged outward as the plug rides up over the wedge. The plug further includes a ring-shaped cavity for sealingly receiving the mouth of a bottle, and a pair of fluid channels, having internal openings formed within the ring-shaped cavity, and external openings formed between the slots of the plug.

A body has a top and downwardly extending opposed leg portions attached to the top, each leg portion having upper and lower inner ledge portions, the upper ledge portion being positioned for engagement with the lower rim surface of the stopper, the lower edge portion being positioned to provide a limit stop with the lower surface of the neck ridge upon upward motion of the device. The leg portions can be bent outwardly at the bottom to enable attachment of the device over the stopper and the upper portion of the neck, and a collar slidably disposed on the periphery of the body retains the lower ends of the leg portions during stopper removal to ensure engagement between the lower inner edge portions and the neck ridge.An alternate embodiment incorporates the stopper into the top as a downwardly depending centrally arranged cylinder.

Abstract: A closure device for a bottle or the like wherein the closure device which, in its closed condition, comprises a pressure ring and a claw cap is fabricated of one-piece in that the pressure ring is connected with the claw cap by means of webs which are disposed between its engagement portions and the roof wall of the claw cap. By pressing the pressure ring downwardly over arms and claws of the closure cap, while tearing the webs, the claws are pressed against the underside of a mouth bead of the neck of the bottle and are pressed into a constricted portion of the bottle neck. By rotating the pressure ring such that its engagement portions or parts depart from the U-shaped claws and by lifting the same it is possible to remove the closure cap from the dispensing or pour opening of the bottle neck, since the engagement parts upwardly raise the claw cap at a lower edge of the roof wall of such claw cap.

The closure includes a cup-shaped cap that fits over the opening of the tube or bottle, a tubular closure member that is mounted around the cap, and a plurality of ribs that connect the cap and the closure. The cap and the closure are radially spaced and the ribs extend at a slant or pitch angle relative to a radial line. The ribs all slant in one direction when the closure is in the open or at-rest position. To seal the opening, the member is turned angularly to decrease the pitch angle, which action bends or flexes the cap radially inwardly against the tube or bottle. The member is turned sufficiently far to bend the ribs over center so that they slant in the opposite direction, in order to lock the closure on the cap or closure.
