Abstract: A system for capping a mouth of a container may include: a press-on cap for irreversibly capping the mouth of the container, wherein the press-on cap is made of polymeric material able to withstand high-temperature sterilization and wherein the press-on cap may include: a tubular sleeve extending along an axis of extension and configured to be irreversibly locked to the mouth of the container; a rim that radially projects out of the tubular sleeve at an end of the press-on cap; a capping wall oriented transverse to the tubular sleeve and extending from the rim over a front surface delimited by the rim, wherein the front surface faces outwardly; and a plurality of protrusions, which extend out of the front surface. The front surface may have a height variation relative to the rim across the front surface ranging from ?1% to 1% of a characteristic dimension of the capping wall.

Abstract: A cover includes a bistable flap mechanism made of a plastic with at least two material components. The cover can be produced in one piece in a multi-component injection molding technique. At a transitional area between a front wall and an edge portion, the plastic is sufficiently stiff (preferably due to greater material thickness) to ensure that an angle ? enclosed in the transitional area from the side wall to the edge portion remains constant in both bistable states. Expansion portions provided in the edge portion ensure that the outer circumference of the edge portion can increase/decrease from one bistable state to the other bistable state. A closing system including the cover is also provided.

Abstract: A valve usable to repeatedly open and close a filling-emptying channel associated with a a beverage container includes a valve body (1). The valve body has a central ring (2) supported by arms (7). The ring includes a hole (4). The valve has a deformable valve plate (5) that includes an outer circumferential beveled edge (10). The valve plate further includes a central conical part (6) configured to engage in the hole. When in blocking relation of the channel, the conical part is engaged in the hole and the valve plate has a convex cup shape. Pulling outwardly on the valve body, changes the convexity of the valve plate and enables it to be disengaged from the valve body.

Abstract: A container, particularly a beverage bottle, can be closed in a bottle opening of a bottle body with a closure made of a plastic material or glass. A fixing element is detachable fastened to the bottle body and holds the closure in the bottle opening. Such a bottle closure solves the problems involving, in particular, wine bottles and which arise when otherwise common bottle cork stoppers are used.

The one touch-type container stopper comprises a hermetically sealing part which has, at a lower end thereof, first supporting protrusions formed to protrude inwardly such that they are elastically supported along an outer peripheral surface of a mouth of the container and is fitted around the mouth to seal the container: and a cover part which has a hinge part formed integrally with and extending from the first supporting protrusions and then bent, and second supporting protrusions at a lower end thereof to protrude inwardly therefrom and is positioned outside of the sealing part. The second supporting protrusions are connected to one another through a band member.

Abstract: A container cap for use on an open top container having an upper end portion with an upper rim surface. The container cap is adapted to be mounted and sealed thereon, such that only a lift tab and a spaced apart peripheral segment extend beyond the outer edge of the upper rim surface. The non-extended edges of the cap adjacent the sides of the lift tab provide for the easy removal of the container cap in one piece upon manual lifting of the tab.

The ribbons are wound in multiple layers around cores for shipment to processors of food particles, such as salt or cheese, to be secured to individual, cup-like containers.

Abstract: A test tube stopper (1) has the shape of a small bowl and is provided with a protruding upper circular collar (11). The stopper (1) slidably enters into and seals the neck of a test tube (3) until the collar (11) rests against the mouth of the test tube (3). A horizontal bottom wall (12) of the stopper (1) is comprised of two or more elastically yielding sectors (16) which can bend under the action of a device (43) being introduced into the test tube (3) through the bottom wall (12) for introducing or withdrawing liquid. The resilient sectors (16) return to their initial position as soon as the device (43) has been extracted from the test tube (3) through the bottom wall (12). In a preferred embodiment a stopper (2), preferably of the conventional type, sealingly closes a cavity (14) of the stopper (1) to ensure sealing a vacuum previously provided in the test tube (3). The stopper (2) may then be removed when it is necessary to withdraw blood from the test tube (3).

The developer container, or toner bottle, has a mouth portion at one end thereof which is smaller in diameter than a hollow cylindrical main body. At the end of the bottle provided with the mouth, a shoulder has the inner periphery thereof partly raised to the edge of the mouth portion to form a raised portion for scooping up a toner. In addition, a part of the inner periphery of the circumferential wall of the bottle which is contiguous with the raised portion is also raised toward the axis of the bottle about which the bottle is rotatable, thereby forming another raised portion. When the bottle is mounted to a bottle holder, which is included in the replenishing device, substantially horizontally with the mouth portion oriented sideways, the bottle is rotated to raise the toner from the bottom of the main body to the mouth portion.

Abstract: A method of making an elongate strip for the production of a sealing member includes, as a first step, applying a plurality of strips of a first adhesive to one of a membrane and a first sheet, the membrane and the first sheet are then bonded together so that composite portions are formed where they are bonded together by the strips of the first adhesive, and separated portions are formed where the membrane and the first sheet are free from one another. The other side of the membrane is then coated with an additional layer of adhesive, for example a hot melt bonding material. Then, sealing members can be cut from the resultant composite elongate strip, with each sealing member having a composite portion in which the membrane and the first sheet are bonded together and a separated portion in which the membrane and the first sheet are free of one another. The free portion of the first sheet then forms a tab, for removal of the sealing member, in use, after it has been bonded to the lip of a container.

Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-layered thermoplastic container 1 opened by the partial peeling back of a multi-layer top 6 which has been heat-sealed onto the edge 3 of the container 1 including a peeling tab 7. The peeling tab 7 has a scalloped area cut into its edge 3 in such a way as to delimit a grip cavity which is open toward the side of the top 6 and of the edge 3, and, facing the area where the internal sheet 9 of the top 6 and the internal layer 4 of the container 1 meet. The intermediate sheet 10 has a tearing edge enabling the internal sheet 9 to be torn.

Abstract: A z-tab innerseal for a container and method of application involves an innerseal having a first sealing portion for sealing a first portion of an opening defined by an upper rim of a container, a second sealing portion for sealing the remainder of the container opening and a flap portion between the first and second sealing portions which is adapted to be grasped and pulled upwardly by a user to remove the innerseal from the container opening. An advantage of the flap portion is that it allows the innerseal to be removed without having to penetrate or scrape the innerseal with a sharp object such as a knife. A method of forming the improved innerseal includes providing a blank of stock material having a folded portion, cutting the blank to form an innerseal, mounting the innerseal onto the rim of a container and sealing the innerseal to the container by passing the assembly through a heating station.

Abstract: A closure device for a receptacle is provided with a first generally annular member adapted to be fixed to the receptacle across the opening thereof. A second generally annular member is substantially coaxial with the first annular member and is adapted to be axially moved between an inward closed position and an outer open position. An elastically deformable annular membrane member has one end fixed relative to the first annular member and another end for retaining the second annular member. A fluid passageway in the closure communicates with the container interior when the first annular member is in the open position. Valve means cooperates with valve seat for closing off the passageway when the first annular member is in a closed position.

Abstract: A circular lid is produced from a blank, which consists of a main circular portion from which projects at least one detachable tab. The tab provides a rectilinear trailing edge on the blank, which is adapted for contact by spaced lugs of a conveyor, so that when the blank is pushed through an associated machine by the lugs bearing thereupon, its rotational orientation is maintained. This ensures that registered, sequential operations can be performed on the blank, such as gluing, window film application, printing, and the like.
