Closure Portion Engagingly Enters Receptacle Mouth Patents (Class 215/325)
  • Patent number: 11673718
Abstract: A container and methods of manufacturing and operating the same are provided where the container has a cap that is removable yet childproof. The cap is positioned in a tubular body, and the cap has a generally smooth or continuous upper surface to reduce or eliminate surfaces or edges for a child to grasp. To operate the cap, a disc in the center of the cap is pushed below a lip, and a user grasps the lip to pull the cap from the tubular body. The force needed to press the disc away from the lip is low enough for an adult but too high for a child. Moreover, the cap forms an interference fit with the tubular body with enough friction force to prevent the cap from falling out of the tubular body but is low enough that the cap can be pulled from the tubular body.

  • Patent number: 11383473
Abstract: A deep-drawn paper tray made of paper material, a method and an apparatus for manufacturing the tray, and a closed product package comprising the tray. The tray having a bottom and upwardly expanding side walls around the bottom, the side walls of the tray being shaped to expand through a plurality of circumferential steps dimensioned low enough for obtaining wrinkle-free side walls for the tray. The outermost step is a flat, wrinkle-free rim flange, which enables liquid and gas proof heat-sealing of a lid to form the package. The apparatus may comprise upper and lower moulding tools with concentric movable frames for forming the tray bottom and side wall steps from paper blanks, and moulding tools may be mounted onto a rotating turret carrying a paper blank through working stations arranged along the turret circumference, to shape the tray bottom and the side wall steps at the consecutive stations.

  • Patent number: 9694967
Abstract: A container for dispensing an aerosol product. The container (1) includes a body (2) formed of plastics material such as PET, and a mounting cup and collar assembly (53). The body (2) includes a neck (10) defining an opening (50) having internal and external walls (51 and 52), respectively. The mounting cup and collar assembly (53) is formed of malleable material, and is shaped to straddle the internal and external walls (51 and 52) of the opening (50), and be crimped to the external wall (52) of the neck (10). The mounting cup and collar assembly (53) is preferably of unitary construction, and, includes a lining (60) on its inner surface to assist in providing a seal between the components.

  • Patent number: 8672157
Abstract: The procedure for manufacturing bottles (2) containing fluids, particularly—cosmetic, medical, pharmaceutical products or the like, comprises a forming phase of a hollow body (4) having a dispensing mouth (5) that can be closed by means of removable closing means (8) comprising shutter means (10) that can be coupled with the mouth, the closing means being made in a single body with the hollow body. During the forming phase, the closing means are arranged with the shutter means substantially transversal to the direction of coupling with the dispensing mouth. After the forming phase a coupling” phase is contemplated of the shutter means with the dispensing mouth.

  • Patent number: 6382442
Abstract: The plastic closure of this invention is particularly, but not exclusively adapted for sealing medicament vials and other medical containers or as a collar for retaining a fluid transferset on a medical container. The plastic closure of this invention includes a generally tubular portion which surrounds the rim of the container and a free end portion which is permanently radially deformed or crimped into the neck of the container. The plastic closure of this invention is formed of a polymer, preferably a polymeric alloy or melt blend, which is sufficiently malleable to permit radial deformation, yet sufficiently rigid to retain its shape following deformation and sufficiently resistant to creep to maintain the seal between the plastic closure and the container following deformation. A preferred polymer for the plastic closure of this invention is an alloy or melt blend comprising a relatively rigid polymer such as polycarbonate and a soft malleable co-polymer such as a polyester.

  • Patent number: 6053429
Abstract: An industrial spray gun cup structure includes a connector, a guide member, a collar and a cover body. A reception section of the cup is engaged with the guide member so that the cup can be only normally rotated without rotating and loosening other parts. The cup is integrally formed with inclined ribs which are tightly fitted with corresponding connecting sections of the cover body. While rotating the cover body by a certain angle, the ribs can be separated from or inserted with the connecting sections so as to open or close the cover body. Therefore, the cover body can be conveniently rotated to firmly and tightly fit with the cup without leakage.

  • Patent number: 4795045
Abstract: The present invention provides a closure for a container, preferably a plastic aerosol container on which there is provided a specially designed neck. A metal cup having vent slots is fittable on the container top and neck. The cup has formed at its periphery an inwardly curled tuck and a rounded top portion which fits over a rounded annular shoulder on the neck. The radius of the rounded annular shoulder of the neck is larger than the radius of the rounded top portion of the cup. The neck further includes a tuck support member having a horizontal ledge. A tuck pocket is formed between the annular shoulder and the tuck support member to accomodate the tuck in the cup. Sealing of the cup to the container occurs at the annular shoulder of the neck by pressure of a pressure ring in concert with a pilot of a closure die on the cup top portion.

  • Patent number: 4552278
Abstract: A separate capping assembly for a centrifuge tube includes a stopper having a plug adapted for close fitting receipt on the interior of the neck of the tube being sealed and a complimentary tubular sleeve sized for close fitting receipt over the exterior of the tube neck. The sleeve is responsive to a radially inwardly directed force by deformably crimping to compress the material of the neck of the bottle into an annular seal defined between the plug and the sleeve. The annular seal so formed resists fluid leakage from the interior of the tube during centrifugation of the tube.

  • Patent number: 3940005
Abstract: Safety closure means for bottles and other like containers of sparkling wines or other liquids comprises, in combination an outer cap or capsule adapted to enclose the container neck and to be securely retained thereto, and a self-releasing plug of elastomeric material movably arranged within and retained to said cap or capsule to enable the latter and the plug to be applied together to the container and to be similarly removed therefrom thus reducing the risk of injury by a violently ejected plug. The plug comprises a tube having therein a generally transverse integral partition having a single position of equilibrium in which at least an outer annular portion thereof extends downwardly and outwardly towards the tube. The partition is also formed with a centrally located upward projection which is engaged and depressed by the top of the cap as the latter is being applied to the container neck, thereby causing said outer annular portion of the partition to exert an outward thrust on the plug tube.
