With Conveyer For Workpiece Patents (Class 219/79)
  • Patent number: 4095078
Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment of the invention the packing-wire cutting device includes an electrical electrode assembly comprising a pair of arms pivotally mounted on a bearing shaft, the ends of the arms remote from the bearing shaft carrying each one a rotatable disc together forming an electrode roller supplied with electric power from a supply circuit normally open at the electrode roller which has a gap between its rotatable discs. Further the packing-wire cutting device comprises a conveyor path for the goods to be treated by said device, said goods being provided with a packing of wires crossing the sides of the goods. When the goods passes the packing-wire cutting device the electrode roller is caused to pivot towards the goods side so as to engage against this side to be rotated when the goods is advancing so that when any of the wires is passing the electrode roller it closes the supply circuit whereby the section of the wire located between the rotatable discs will melt off.

  • Patent number: 4095082
Abstract: Band shaped contact material is advanced along an approximately horizontal contact material guide past a displaceable knife and counter-holder which cooperates with a stationary counter-knife to a directly adjacent approximtely horizontal contact piece guide in alignment with the contact material guide for receiving successive contact pieces cut-off by the knives which are ejected from the contact piece guide by horizontal advance of the contact material onto a horizontal surface of a vertically movable electrode of a resistance welding device which raises the contact piece into compressive contact against a contact carrier held on the surface of a stationary upper electrode of the welding device and then the two pieces are welded together. Interconnecting apparatus is operative to simultaneously draw back the contact material after the ejection step into the position necessary for the knives to cut off the next contact piece as the previous contact piece is welded to a contact carrier.

  • Patent number: 4068110
Abstract: In a plant for the manufacture of welded gratings composed of longitudinal members and crossbars welded to said longitudinal members, the crossbars are removed one at a time from a store to a retaining device capable of holding two crossbars at a predetermined horizontal spacing between each other. The pair of crossbars is discharged from said retaining device on to a carrying device arranged to carry the pair of crossbars into the welding station and deposit them on the longitudinal members there while still retaining their predetermined horizontal spacing.

  • Patent number: 4048461
Abstract: Contact beads of noble metal are welded to a substrate of less corrosion-resistant metal in an apparatus in which one electrode formed with a receptacle is moved cyclically between a welding position adjacent another, stationary electrode and a remote feeding position. A gap between the electrodes receives the substrate, and blanks of contact bead material are fed into the laterally open receptacle through a stationary guide aligned with the receptacle in the feeding position of the movable electrode in a direction transverse to the direction of electrode movement.

  • Patent number: 4029931
Abstract: A base is mounted on a welding machine and has slide rails. Each rail has paired flat top sides angularly converging upwardly toward one another. A table has slide channels also each having paired flat sides angularly converging upwardly toward one another at angles substantially equal to that of the rails. The table channels rest on the rails with their flat sides in sliding relationship to the flat sides of the rails. When welding forces are applied to the table, the flat sides of the rails and channels jam or wedge into substantially solid electrical contact at their interface due to their angulation. A shield is attached to the end of the table and covers the rails in their exposed projection beyond the table. In a table having two welding locations, a shield is attached at both ends of the table. The shields protect the rails against welding spatter, dust, etc., to keep the rails clean to insure maximum electrical contact.

  • Patent number: 3949926
Abstract: Apparatus for moving a frame of the type for supporting a plurality of integrated circuit chips or die members wherein the frame on a track is moved incrementally along the same by one or both of a pair of pawls pivotally mounted below the track and normally projecting through the plane of the track and into openings in the frame. A reciprocal drive means coupled to the pawls causes the latter to reciprocate, so that the pawls, as they move in reverse, pivot downwardly in the frame and into second frame openings, whereupon the pawls are urged forwardly and they, in turn, advance the frame through a predetermined distance. If the apparatus is used as a die bonder, an improved heat shield is provided for the heater element. Also, an improved die holder is disposed adjacent to and above the heater element. If the apparatus is used as a die test unit, an improved test probe is provided wherein test leads move in engagement with terminals of a die after the die frame has been incrementally advanced.
