  • Patent number: 8844750
Abstract: A hingeless door system for a pressure vessel; especially, aeronautic and astronautic crafts. The door system has the following major components: a contour in a pressure vessel wall, a doorway opening, a seal, an upper track, a lower track and a door. The door translocates laterally along the tracks from an open position to a closed position and moves radially along the tracks to a sealed position against the contour which closes the door opening. The problem solved by the invention is to reduce weight, operational volume and complexity and increase durability of a door system for a pressure vessel.

The connector may be moveable relative to only one of the base and the top. Each wing may have a first portion engaging the connector and a second portion engaging the cell. When pressure within the cell exceeds pressure outside the cell, the lock may lie in a first position, preventing relative movement between the base and the top. When pressure within the cell does not exceed pressure outside the cell, the lock may lie in a second position, allowing relative movement between the base and the top to cause the connector to move the first portion of the wing, thereby causing the second portion of the wing to move.

  • Patent number: 8056761
Abstract: A pouring device for a liquid filled container that fits into the neck of a container opening. The pouring device has a buoyant hollow ball valve that when the container or bottle is seated in its normal vertical storage position is pressed against an inner lip of the pouring device to form a seal by a spring that is seated on a distal inner lip of the pouring device. The valve opens when the container is inverted as the hollow ball valve is so buoyant that it overcomes the spring bias, thereby allowing the container's fluid contents to pour out. Abstract: The invention provides a snap down lock and a release valve control mechanism for a vacuum food container. The vacuum food container includes a cover and a base in tight connection with the cover to form a box for storing food. A snap down lock is provided between the cover and the base. The snap down lock depresses a plug and a spring inside a U-shaped recess on the base using a corner of its square block, blocking its vent. At the same time, the snap down lock depresses a retractable spring switch provided on the base, starting a motor vacuum pump to draw out the air inside the box. Once the square block corner of the snap down lock departs from its depressing position and releases its depression on the plug and the spring, the restoring force of the spring pushes the plug out of the sealing position on the vent. The box is then in connection with the atmosphere via the vent.
