Abstract: A storage bin comprises a cover panel and a scoop. The cover panel may be slidably or rotatably moved to expose the interior of the storage bin. The scoop is stored internally in the storage bin and is exposed when the cover panel is open. The design of the cover panel provides advantages to consumers by providing a durable and versatile method of access to the contents of the storage bin. The storage of the scoop within the storage bin limits contamination of the scoop during storage and provides easy access to the scoop when the cover panel is open. A reusable labeling surface allows the consumer to conveniently identify a variety of stored items over the storage bin's lifetime.

Abstract: A lid structure for opening and closing an opening in an upper portion of a reagent container includes an outer lid member attached to the reagent container and having a first opening corresponding to the opening of the reagent container, an inner lid member arranged inward of the outer lid member, attached to the outer lid member in a vertically movable manner, and having a second opening opposing the first opening, and a rotator having a through hole, arranged inward of the inner lid member, engaging with the outer lid member and the inner lid member via an engaging unit in a rotatable manner around a horizontal axis. The engaging unit rotates the rotator to open the opening when the inner lid member performs a downward opening operation, and rotates the rotator to close the opening when the inner lid member performs an upward closing operation.

Abstract: A disposable lid for a drinking cup includes a cover portion having a generally circular periphery and a sliding member that is configured to slidably fit into a trench in the cover portion. The trench extends downwardly from and longitudinally along a top surface of the cover portion, and has an open end at the periphery of the cover portion. The cover portion includes a drink opening on a bottom surface of the trench and adjacent to the periphery and a guide slot on the bottom surface of the trench. The sliding member includes a guide extending downwardly from a bottom surface of the sliding member so that the guide slidably fits into the guide slot on the bottom surface of the trench. The guide slot allows the sliding member to move between a first closed position and a second open position via the guide.

Abstract: A disposable lid for a drinking cup includes a cover portion and a sliding member that is configured to slidably fit into a trench in the cover portion. The trench includes a drink opening on a floor of the trench and the sliding member is configured to cover and uncover the drink opening. In one embodiment, the sliding member includes side portions that extend longitudinally and upwardly from a central portion of the sliding member such that an outer edge of each side portion is located above the central portion of the sliding member. A gap width between the outer edges of the side portions of the sliding member is greater than a width of a mouth of the trench such that the side portions of the sliding member secure the siding member to the cover portion.

Abstract: A container system is provided with a container having a door mounted for pivotal reciprocation about a door pivot axis between opened and closed positions. The container system also has a carrier with a body receiving the container and an arm coupled to the body for pivotal reciprocation about an arm pivot axis that is oriented substantially parallel to the door pivot axis. The arm engages the door of the container, and the pivotal reciprocation of the arm reciprocates the door of the container between the opened and closed positions.

Abstract: A self closing container having inner and outer sleeves. Outer sleeve surrounds inner sleeve and can freely slide on inner sleeve by lifting outer sleeve or handle. When container is closed, lid covers magnets, mouth magnets, mouth magnet platform, and mouth platform. When closed, bar magnet component is positioned over mouth magnets which permits mouth cover to cover mouth. When outer sleeve is raised, it raises ring in lid. In raised position, lid cover magnets on ring are repelled by corresponding magnets on lid cover. When ring is raised, mouth magnet platforms are raised. Mouth magnet platforms have two mouth magnets, one positioned toward mouth and one positioned toward back of the lid. When raised, mouth cover is moved backward to an open position with the use of the bar magnet component. When handle or outer sleeve is released all components return to their original positions effectively closing the container.

One of the positions is a rear position rearward of the access opening and the other of the positions is a front position forward of the access opening. Each optional open position exposes the storage space through the access opening.

Abstract: A beverage container having three elongated generally planar side surfaces with three rounded or blunted side edges and three corresponding pouring apexes at the triangular mouth thereof, sealed by a removable triangular lid with a V-shaped orifice, to provide improved pouring and liquid flow characteristics. The triangular configuration of the container enables it to be tightly nested with other identical containers and also presents more planar and discrete outer surface areas for disposing advertising material thereon. The container comprises an inner and outer shell affixed together at open ends thereof.

Abstract: A beverage container includes a squeeze-actuated self-sealing valve. An actuation mechanism is disposed between inner and outer walls of the cup portion. The actuation mechanism is acted upon by squeezing the beverage container. The actuation mechanism moves a sliding plate in the cover to expose an opening along a front end of the cover for drinking from the beverage container. When not in use, a biasing mechanism in the actuation mechanism causes the sliding plate of the self-sealing valve to return to the closed position.

A slide channel is formed as part of the base. Abstract: A reclosable lid for use with an open-top container is disclosed. The reclosable container lid comprises a cover including an annular top wall having a channel integrally formed therein. A drinking spout in the top wall is adapted to dispense the contents of the container. The reclosable lid uses a slide lock closure feature that prevents spillage during transportation of the open-top container and easy access for opening and drinking. The slide lock closure is configured to engage with the channel to slide longitudinally along the channel between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the slide lock closure opens the drinking spout and in the second position, the slide lock closure closes the drinking spout to inhibit dispensing the contents of the container.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a container for solids or liquid and a method of opening a container. The container comprises a hollow body which holds the contents and a closure which cooperates with the body to close the container. The closure comprises an opening member which is movable from a retracted position to an opening position in which the closure can be opened. The container further comprises a locking member for securing the opening member, the locking member being movable between a locking position in which the opening member is kept secured in the retracted position and an unlocked position in which the opening member is movable into the opening position.

Abstract: A drinking flask cap is a convenient, three-position, push-pull lid. The top of the lid forms a drinking basis, and the drinking basin can be sealed with a hygienic cap. The cap can be removed and placed on the bottom of the flask for convenient storage and provides a stable base for the flask. A bottle portion of the flask is preferably made from a molded plastic material and can be provided with a finger hold such that the flask can be drunk from in a manner similar to a coffee cup.

Abstract: In accordance the present invention a package assembly 10 for the storage and distribution of a plurality of mints 14 is provided comprising a bottom container 12 for the storage of the plurality of mints 14, the bottom container 12 comprising a bottom container base 16 and a plurality of bottom container sidewalls 18. The package assembly 10 also includes an upper cover 24 including an upper cover top surface 36. The upper cover 24 is mountable to the bottom container 12. An arched longitudinal detent 38 is formed in the upper cover 24. The arched longitudinal detent 38 is comprised of a detent surface 40 having a detent width 42, a detent length 44 and a detent depth 46. A delivery orifice 54 is formed through a portion of the arched longitudinal detent 38 and has an orifice width 56 and an orifice length 58. The orifice width 56 and the orifice length 58 are sized to allow one of the plurality of mints 14 to pass through the delivery orifice 54.

Abstract: A closure for a liquid container, such as a sports drink bottle, includes a base component that is engaged over the mouth of the container, and a cap component engaged on the base component for movement from a closed position to an open position by pressure from the lips of the consumer. The base component includes a valve element supported on a fenestrated pedestal. The cap component includes a body defining a drinking surface for contacting the lips of the consumer and an annular sealing disc recessed below the drinking surface. The sealing disc is retained by the valve element against the force of a resiliently deformable seal disposed between the base component and the cap component. The seal has a sealing rim that is in constant contact with the base portion and provides an upward spring force to hold the sealing disc in the normally closed position. The seal includes a flexible hinge that allows the resiliently deformable seal to bow outward or bellows when the cap is depressed.

Abstract: A disposable lid for a drinking cup the lid comprises a cover portion having a generally circular periphery, a drinking opening in the cover portion adjacent to the periphery, a handle opening in the cover portion, and at least one C-shaped rail that protrudes downwardly from an inside surface of the cover portion. The at least one C-shaped rail forms a longitudinal channel that extends from the handle opening to the drinking opening. The lid further comprises a sliding member having a handle. The sliding member is configured to slidably fit into the channel and have its handle extend through the handle opening in the cover portion, such that when a user places the handle in a first position, the sliding member uncovers the drinking opening and when the user places the handle in a second position, the sliding member covers the drinking opening.

A circular sidewall (36) integrally distends from the lid member, and an inclined recessed disc (44) is integrally formed within a lower portion of this circular sidewall. The disc has a liquid egress aperture (46), an alignment slot (48), a pair of parallel snap-in clasp slots (50) and a disc vent hole (52) therein. A blocking barrier slide (58), complete with an upright thumb actuating bar (60) on the upper portion of the slide, includes an alignment tab (62) along with a pair of extended snap-in clasps (64) on a bottom portion of the slide and a slide vent hole (68) therethrougth. The slide snap-in clasps captivate the slide onto the disc.

A non-skid base (102) with integral, upwardly extending grip elements provides a grip to facilitate handling of the tumbler.

Abstract: Drink spout systems and drink containers that include a drink spout system. In some embodiments, the drink spout system includes an air return system to permit improved dispensing from the drink container. In some embodiments, the drink spout system is actuated by a user sucking on the system. In others, the system is actuated by a user depressing or bending at least a portion of the system. In still others, the system is actuated by other user-imparted forces to the system. In some embodiments, the drink spout system includes a biasing system adapted to preload the system's valve assembly to a closed configuration. In some embodiments, the drink spout system includes components formed from different materials via two-shot molding or a similar process, and in some embodiments, the materials used are selected to provide improved opening of the systems' valve assembly.
