  • Patent number: 7703622
Abstract: Apparatus 10 discloses a compartmentalized waste and recyclable container 12. The compartmentalized container 12 is comprised of a divided waste container having removable receptacles 24, 26. One receptacle is designed for holding normal waste 26 while the other is designed for holding recyclables 24, such as cans, jars, plastic bottles, etc. The waste container has a sectioned lid 16, 17 providing access to either or both containers. The apparatus 10 also provides means whereby the container can be opened by a foot-operated mechanism 14, 15, relieving the user of having to have a free hand for access. Additionally, the container can incorporate wheels 18 for mobility and apertures 20 within the exterior wall. Each of the interior removable receptacles 24, 26 can also have handles 22 mounted thereto for ease of removing and carrying.

  • Publication number: 20100072204
Abstract: A closure device includes a door carrying a series of interconnected shear blocks and a keystone shear block designed to transfer stresses created by pressure acting on the door to a surrounding hub. Each interconnected shear block has a limited rotation relative to its adjacent blocks. A holding band operating handle is in communication with a driving link which, in turn, is in communication with the keystone shear block. Actuating the handle causes the keystone shear block to move in an upward vertical direction. The linear movement of the keystone shear block allows the limited rotation of the interconnected shear blocks to occur, thereby causing the circumferential holding band to collapse within itself from an expanded-engaged position to a contracted-removed position relative to said hub. A pressure warning lock provides a safety device and prevents actuation of the holding band operating handle when the pressure chamber is under pressure.

  • Patent number: 7665625
Abstract: A molded container and closure latch mechanism include a top portion and bottom portion which are connected by a hinge which biases the top away from the bottom unless the latch mechanism is engaged. The latch mechanism is pivotally connected to the top. It engages a molded contoured segment on the bottom to secure the container in a closed position. Anomalies on the top surface of the latch mechanism provide a convenience to the user in locating pressure points for opening and closing the container. A separator can be used internal to the container to create two separate compartments. In one adaptation the interior surface can include raised protrusions which permit contents such as a soap bar to be raised off from the surface. Other modifications too the interior can be effected to accommodate a wide variety of products. The containers can be provided in a grouping with relative dimensions suitable to store a wide variety of personal effects.

The stackability provides several cans to be packaged together in shipment to retailers. The retractable or foldable foot pedal allows the retailer and end user to easily display or use the can without the need of tedious construction of the foot pedal.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an automatic storage box comprising a bottom case, a receptacle set, a receptacle, a top cover, and a rotary cover set. The inner surface of the bottom case is concaved to form an accommodation basin. A battery bay and a proximity sensor set are respectively arranged at two sides of the accommodation basin, and a dynamic device is arranged therebetween. The receptacle set and the receptacle are respectively detachably installed to the base case. The inner portion of the top cover is concaved downward to form a recess, and the lower rim of the top cover has a positioning element used to engage with the receptacle set. The rotary cover set is arranged above the top cover and pivotally coupled to the receptacle set. When the proximity sensor set detects the approach of a human body, the dynamic device instantly drives the movable cover to rotate to open.

Abstract: An apparatus for receiving and storing a soiled item has a container and a cover, which can be rotated about spindles. The cover comprises a casing in which a movable body can move to and fro. The moveable body is placed inside a compartment at the closed end of a flexible holder. A soiled item can be put inside the casing and subsequently the cover can be rotated around spindles. The moveable body will fall downwards under the force of gravity, pushing the soiled item inside the container. The flexible holder is fixed inside the casing with a firm closed elastic band at the location of the rim of its open end.
