The lid includes a plate and a cap that are configured to pivot with respect to one another. The cap includes a radial cam for translationally moving at least one coupling element between a first position in which a claw of the at least one coupling element is engaged in the indentation with the lid in the rest position and the pot closed, and a second position in which the at least one coupling element has been translationally moved with respect to the first position. The lid also includes at least one coupling return element configured to automatically return the at least one coupling element to the first position.

Abstract: Disclosed is a connecting structure for connecting a first member and a second member, wherein the first member comprises a connecting upright portion and a plurality of locking flanges provided to extend outwards along the circumferential direction of the outer face of the connecting upright portion, while the second member comprises a connecting side-wall portion that overlies the connecting upright portion and a plurality of locking projections provided to extend inwards from the inner face of the connecting side-wall portion. The bottom faces of the locking flanges distend downwards in a convex curved shape and, when the second member is overlaid on the first member and rotated, the upper faces of the locking projections are guided with sliding contact along the convex curved bottom faces of the locking flanges and stopped at the lowermost position of the convex curved bottom faces.

Abstract: A tamper-evident closure (10) for a container (20) is provided. The closure (10) comprises a first portion (25) including inner (35) and outer (45) parts, and a second portion (30). The outer part (45) is movable relative to the inner part (35) from a first position in which the outer part (45) is immediately adjacent the second portion (30) to a second position in which there is an empty unobstructed gap (G) therebetween. The inner (35) and outer (45) parts are adapted to become irreversibly locked in the second position so that the outer part (45) cannot be moved back to the first position to close the gap (G). A combination of such a closure (110) with an in-bore filament (100) connectable to a container (120) is also provided.

Abstract: A container having a container lid and container bottom as well as a method of assembling the same is provided. In one aspect, the container lid and container bottom have cooperating locking catch portions that inhibit rotational motion therebetween. In one embodiment, the locking catch portion of the container lid is provided by a segment of a thread thereof. In another aspect, an attachment rib is provided by the container bottom that is interposed between adjacent threads. The attachment rib is used to axially engage a thread of the container lid when axially snapping the container lid to the container bottom. A method of assembling the container lid to the container bottom is provided that includes axially snap engaging the thread of the container lid with the attachment rib of the container bottom.

Abstract: A container having a container lid and container bottom as well as a method of assembling the same is provided. In one aspect, the container lid and container bottom have cooperating locking catch portions that inhibit rotational motion therebetween. In one embodiment, the locking catch portion of the container lid is provided by a segment of a thread thereof. Abstract: A tamper evident fitment assembly for use with a container for flowable material, the closure comprising a cap and a spout secured to the container, the cap having a frangible tamper evident band, the cap having an annular recess for frictionally engaging a top portion of the spout, the cap and spout having cooperating detent and locking elements so that the assembly in a first position where the cap is removably sealed to the spout and the tamper evident band is not broken when the cap is removed for filling may move to a second position when the cap is removably sealed to the spout and the tamper evident band is broken upon removal of the cap. An important feature of the present invention is that the cap frictionally engages a top portion of the spout. No screw threads or similar securing means are required to retain the cap on the spout.

Abstract: A barrel type cooler having an open top cylindrical icing chamber an open bottom cylindrical lid slidably that fits over the icing chamber. The icing chamber includes hooks and the lid includes slots, each slot configured to receive a hook and having an open bottom allowing the lid to be removed from engagement with the icing chamber. Each slot has a length sufficient to allow the lid to slide over the icing chamber to a closed position. In addition, each slot includes a side channel configured to engage a corresponding hook to support the lid in a raised position. The side of the top has ingress openings allowing a user to reach through the side of the lid and into the icing chamber when the lid is supported by the icing chamber in the raised position.

Abstract: A hazardous material transfer system for the transfer of waste from a containment cell through a transfer port to a storage vessel. A port door in the containment cell is movable between a open and closed positions relative to the transfer port. The port door has a closure face with a first connector set. A storage vessel sealed by a storage vessel cover is provided for receipt of waste transferred through the port. The cover has an outside face that carries a second connector set that interlocks with the first connector set on the port door. The inside face of the vessel cover has a third connector set. A fourth connector set is located on the storage vessel and mates with the third connector set to lock and seal the cover to the vessel. The connector sets are the variety that engage and disengage upon rotational motion.

Handle (24) is adapted to move lug (34) between an engaged position securing closure (16) in an axially and a disengaged position permitting closure (16) to move between axially inner and outer positions. Spring (20) moves closure (16) relative to filler neck (12) to the axially outer position while lug (34) is in the disengaged position.

Abstract: A container for a carbonated beverage has an interrupted external screw thread surrounding its mouth opening engageable with an internal screw thread of a rotatable closure. The rotatable closure is in two parts and has a stiffened top member and a separate, rotatable depending rim to rotatably engage on the container and hold the top member in sealing engagement with the opening of the container. To prevent missiling on opening, pressure venting means such as slots extending through the closure may be provided. Alternatively, the rotatable closure may be configured to have a two stage opening movement. As the rotatable closure is made in two parts it has a low opening torque.

Abstract: A holder having a sealing cap portion for craft paint applicators. The holder includes a lower base portion with an interior cavity formed in the upper portion of the holder. A threaded portion is formed therein for mating engagement with a threaded portion on the applicator bottle. The interior cavity terminates in an end wall portion that seals the dispensing end of the applicator tip from air circulation and from leakage. The applicator is inserted in the interior cavity of the holder and twisted to lock the applicator tip in the holder so the applicator tip is sealed within the holder. This allows the base portion of the holder to support the applicator in a inverted position. Since the applicator is inverted, craft paint is always in fluid contact with the inner surfaces of the applicator tip.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a container for liquid which is able to retain the liquid therein for drinking purposes at a temperature close to its original temperature for a period of time, will assure that the liquid will not spill out if the container is tipped, and facilitates easy drinking of the liquid from the container. The container further includes an interiorly recessed shelf possessing at least one gap within the shelf wall and which accommodates a sealing member or top which contains a protruding tongue which can be inserted through the gap and rotated below the shelf to fasten the sealing member in place. Then the top can function as a sealing member to retain the liquid in place and assure that the liquid will not spill if the container is accidentally tipped. The top will further serve to entirely seal the container to thereby retain the liquid therein at close to its original temperature for a period of time.

Abstract: A threaded cover is pivotally secured to a strap that is hinged to the base of the cover plate, the strap and base having cooperative means for holding the cover in an up position away from the access port to the receptacle merely by raising the strap to a position substantially perpendicular from the base, such as by the strap being L-shaped with a loop in the leg of the L encircling a pin secured to the base with the loop being shaped to slide over the pin when the cover is raised and to bear against the base in a locked open position.
