Abstract: A beverage crate include a base, a pair of opposed side walls extending upward from the sides of the base and a pair of end walls extending upward from ends of the base. The end walls each include a pair of spaced apart end columns. A handle extends across the pair of spaced apart columns at each end wall. The height of the handle is aligned with a portion of the bottle having a reduced diameter. For example, some bottles have a tapered or contoured middle portion to facilitate grasping the bottle. This allows the handle to be positioned closer to the bottles, which reduces the overall length of the crate. The reduced length of the crate then permits a reduced width of the crate per the required ratio for cross-stacking. The reduced width then permits a full bottle capture on the bottom surface of the crate.

The top edges of the side walls further comprise a plurality of fasteners which extend above the top of the walls. The bottom edges of the side walls and the sides of the lid portion are further comprised of corresponding fasteners which selectively attach or detach the lid portion to the top of a storage portion. In a preferred embodiment, one (1) side wall of each storage portion further comprises a hinged door for selective accessibility.

The apparatus further includes a retention means within the container for positioning and securing the pharmaceuticals and cooling means, and a gripping means for transporting the container. A method of using a shipping apparatus includes the steps of assembling a container with a closeable top for carrying pharmaceuticals, activating, and inserting a cooling means into a retention means of the container for keeping said pharmaceuticals temperature protected. The steps further include inserting the pharmaceuticals into the retention means within the container for positioning and securing the pharmaceuticals, closing the top of the container and engaging a gripping means for transporting the container.

Abstract: An ice cream cone cake holder comprises a supporting platform having a plurality of joined cone and/or cake supporting members and, preferably, a pair of handle members. Several embodiments of the holder are shown. In the first embodiment, the supporting platform is solid with apertured, open supporting members. In a second embodiment, the supporting platform is solid with apertured supporting members having connected frusto-conical members. In a third embodiment, the holder is wire-like with parallel, wire-like holder members with shaped portions that support ice cream cone cakes. The holder may be used in conjunction with a carrier for the holder and may hold an ice cream cone filled with cake ingredients, before during and after baking of the cake ingredients.

Abstract: The invention described consists of a five-piece container for carrying bottles and of a stabilizer tablet for steadying the bottles in their vertical position in the container. The container comprises a bottom piece formed of plastics material and of opposite side pieces and opposite end pieces also formed of plastics material and hingedly connected to the side and end edges of the bottom piece whereby the side pieces and the end pieces may be pivoted between an erected position and an outward foldback position and vice-versa. The stabilizer tablet consists of a flat board displaying a series of openings each having a size to engage the neck portions of the bottles and to thereby minimize up, down, and sideway movements of the bottles in the container.

The collapsible corner construction includes a pair of casements joined together by an anchor pin. The anchor pin is received in T-slots within each of the casements. The anchor pin may be slipped or removed from the T-slots to release the casements from their joined condition, so that the walls of the container may be collapsed. An interlocking tab and slot configuration provides interlocking means for stacking one collapsible bin upon another.

The crown-displaying portion includes an outer peripheral edge section and a mushroom crown-supporting surface around each of a plurality of stem-receiving holes. A flange structure extends around the edge section and defines a matrix around the mushroom crown-supporting surface. The plurality of holes defines a mushroom weight-correlated hole design whereby, when all of the holes each receives a single mushroom, a preselected total net weight of the mushrooms is substantially consistently maintained from one mushroom tray to the next. The lower stem-containing portion includes a closed, liquid impervious wall structure defining a mushroom stem-containing chamber for receiving each mushroom stem that extends through each of the holes of the weight-correlated design.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing heated hair rollers wherein the rollers are suspended vertically in a heating chamber of a housing, an amount of water is introduced into the chamber and heated to generate steam which surrounds the rollers and condenses thereon heating and moistening the rollers which may then be removed and applied to a person's hair. The rollers are suspended by a horizontal plate within the housing which defines a steam chamber between the plate and the bottom of the housing. The plate has a plurality of holes sized to allow passage of the rollers. Each hair roller has a head portion which is larger in diameter than the respective hole whereby the rollers are suspended from the plate within the steam chamber such that the head portion of each roller remains outside of the heating chamber to provide a relatively cool handle for easy manipulation of the heated and moistened rollers.

The crate insert has load-bearing pillars for forming part of a composite load bearing pillar construction with pillars of lower and higher crates of a substantially identical construction when the crate is located in a stack of crates. The insert may be secured to the crate body by locating formalities.

Special trays are used having a plurality of structural members on their inner wall surfaces to define recessed regions between the structural members into which the curved surfaces of the containers fit so that they are held upright.
