Abstract: A container closure system comprising a container (e.g., a coffee cup) with a lid comprising a sip hole, wherein the closure system further comprises a stirrer that may be used to removably plug the sip hole in the lid, said stirrer being optionally further capable of stirring liquid within the container. The present invention also may include an attachment mechanism or attachment means on or adjacent to the lid, whereby the stirrer may by releasably attached to the lid for storage, transportation, and to facilitate facile relocation of the stirrer.

The nonwoven web material can be used as a wipe or tack cloth and can exhibit a dust holding capacity of at least about 10 grams/m2 and a lint potential of less than about 5 fibers/cm2. In addition to containing a tackifier that is compounded with the polymer(s) used to form the fibers of the web, the nonwoven web material can be textured, post-bonded, apertured, or treated with elemental fluorine gas to further improve its dust holding capacity and minimize lint production. In addition, the nonwoven web material leaves minimal residue after contacting a surface.

Abstract: The present invention provides a dispensing cap for attaching to a container, which includes a dispensing chamber having an interior compartment for holding an ingredient to be dispensed into the container. The top end of the dispensing chamber has a flexible diaphragm and an actuator button and the lower end of the dispensing chamber is connected to an s-shaped frangible membrane member. The dispensing chamber includes a threaded bottle cap for attaching the container to the dispensing cap. A piercing shaft includes four rectangular shaped vanes which engage and pierce the center of an s-shaped frangible membrane at the bottom of the dispensing chamber. This causes the s-shaped frangible membrane to rupture and thereby form an opening in the bottom of the interior compartment of the dispensing chamber so that the ingredient housed within the compartment freely passes through the dispensing opening and into the container.

A support floor of the cup apparatus includes an annular bottom flange extending radially beyond an exterior wall of the bottom ring segment. Atop lid member extends over an opening into the cup apparatus, and includes a pair of opposed, inner and outer contact walls that collectively define an annular receiving groove therebetween. The cup apparatus can be expanded from a collapsed position to an expanded position when both the annular bottom flange and the lid member are radially gripped and axially pulled apart longitudinally thereof before separation of the lid member from the drinking lip segment.

At least a portion of the upper body is moved away from the lower body as the upper body moves from the lowered position toward the raised position to facilitate access to the disposal opening.

Abstract: A cap device for use with a container includes a chamber for containing a composition and a shell for adapting to the container. The composition is kept safe from the environment by means of a film. The chamber has a piercer which, when actuated, breaks the film, permitting the flow of composition from the chamber into the shell. The composition can be mixed with liquid just prior to consumption in order to, for example, maximize stability, taste, and activity of the ingredients.

Abstract: A dispensing capsule, comprising a cap body including a chamber, whereby the bottom of the chamber is sealed by a sealing member. The cap body includes one or more plungers, each plunger received in a sub-chamber of the chamber, and one or more flexible actuators engaged to the one or more plungers, whereby the actuators are accessible at a top portion of the cap body. The flexible actuators may comprise a bellow-type blast or stepped blast. In some embodiments, a dust cover is provided to cover said top portion of the cap body. By applying pressure to the one or more actuators, the one or more plungers displace downward and break at least a portion of the sealing member. This allows for independent dispensing of an ingredient stored in each of the sub-chambers.
