Patent number: 5168586Abstract: A device used to reclaim shower waste water for flushing toilets and watering gardens. During the course of a shower, several shallow-plastic molded reservoirs are situated intermediately between the shower basin and the feet of the person standing upon them. The top surface forms a sloped recess for collecting water and an open inlet port at the recessed end allows the water to drain into the reservoir. The weight of a person standing upon the top surface is supported by an internal array of posts projecting upwardly from the bottom surface. A dispenser is used in conjuction with an outlet to retain and release the collected water. When the full reservoir is placed in an upright position on top of a toilet set with the outlet at the lowermost position, the dispenser is manually actuated thus releasing water through the outlet with sufficient flow rate to flush the toilet. A shoulder strap and sprinkler accessory may be attached for use as a portable watering container in the garden.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1991Date of Patent: December 8, 1992Inventor: Steven D. Small

Patent number: 5080150Abstract: Condiment bottle draining baskets are housewares that allow consumers to drain up to five percent of catsup, thick salad dressing, barbecue sauce, etc. that otherwise can remain stuck in the bottom of bottles. These baskets let consumers invert and fully drain thick liquid condiment bottles so the product flows into the neck and against the inside of the cap ready for immediate use. In the preferred embodiment two baskets flex and hold small, medium, and large household size condiment bottles in an inverted position, one bottle per basket. These wide based baskets can then be placed on counters, in refrigerator doors, and on the dining table. As much as fiver percent of household thick liquid condiments can be reclaimed saving money and, ultimately, reducing the total number of containers thrown into landfills.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 1991Date of Patent: January 14, 1992Inventor: Hugh A. Patent number: 5071027Abstract: A condensation tray includes a central main tray body formed from extruded polymeric/copolymeric material and includes a bottom wall and opposite upstanding side walls. The bottom wall includes inner and outer surfaces and condensation channels/chambers therebetween. A coil sitting upon the bottom wall inner surface operating in the air conditioning mode creates condensation from the ambient air within the condensation channels/chambers which collects therein, flows outwardly therefrom into one or two of opposite injection molded end caps bonded to the central main tray body. Condensate eventually passes through a discharge port of the end caps(s) to a drain, and in this manner condensation will not adversely effect the fan coil unit, its components, or the environs thereof, such as an adjacent rug, ceiling or the like.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 1991Date of Patent: December 10, 1991Inventor: John T. Patent number: 5033638Abstract: A vault construction is provided for the storage of hazardous or polluting liquids which comprises an inner cylindrical tank for storing such liquids and an outer casing in which the inner cylindrical tank is housed. The outer casing is of two-piece construction and includes a plurality of ribs extending inwardly from the inner surface thereof in engagement with portions of the outer tank wall and defining a plurality of air spaces between the inner wall of the casing and the outer tank wall. The ribs are discontinuous at the bottom of the casing so as to define a channel along the bottom of the casing. Thus, liquid spilled during filling of the tank or liquid leaking from the tank can collect in the channel. The outer casing further includes an indicator device such as a plug of transparent material located in the bottom of the casing, for providing a visual indication that liquid has collected in the channel.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 1990Date of Patent: July 23, 1991Assignee: Ecovault CorporationInventors: Phil Cruver, Mark Cruver
