The side wall units assist in defining the space within the container for the collection of concrete waste, including concrete fluid washout material. Each side wall unit has an exterior wall and an interior wall, the walls forming a longitudinally extending open area. The internal walls have slotted openings at their upper and lower ends. Instead of spilling over the edge of the container, concrete fluid washout material which reaches a certain height within the space in the container flows through the upper slotted openings of the internal walls and then down into and through the open areas between the exterior and interior walls of the side wall units. • Patent number: 7344045
Abstract: A double-walled vacuum-insulated container for holding a cryogenic fluid comprises a support structure for supporting an inner vessel within an outer vessel. The container has an elongated horizontal axis. A conduit extending between the inner and outer vessels has a wall thickness that allows the conduit to carry a substantial portion of axial loads acting on the inner vessel in a direction parallel to the horizontal axis. The support structure further comprises a non-metallic support spanning between the inner and outer vessels, with the non-metallic support capable of transferring substantially all radial loads transverse to said horizontal axis. The non-metallic support is also fixedly attached to the inner and outer vessels so that it is capable of supporting a substantial portion of the axial loads so that the non-metallic support and the conduit cooperate to provide support in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 6913421
Abstract: A diving-tank-pocket buoyancy compensator has an expandable diving-tank pocket (1) that envelopes a diving tank (2) which the diving-tank pocket is articulated for containing in addition to at least an inflated buoyancy air cell (3). The buoyancy air cell is in fluid communication with a cell end (4) of a buoyancy compensator (BC) tube (5) which has a tank end (6) in fluid communication with an inside periphery of the diving tank through a regulator tube (35) and a regulator valve (7) on the diving tank. An adjustable pressure valve (8, 38) intermediate the tank end and the cell end of the BC tube is provided to maintain a pre-determined pressure and resulting constant volume of air in the buoyancy air cell for maintaining a desired constant buoyancy.

  • Patent number: 6719163
Abstract: A fuel container with a wall of at least two wall shells which are separated at least partially from each other by an air gap between them. The dual shell wall structure helps to substantially improve the mechanical properties of the fuel container. Preferably, each wall shell consists of a plurality of layers of different polymeric or plastic materials. In a preferred embodiment of the invention a four layer co-extruded structure is provided; each shell comprises a layer of high density polyethylene (HDPE), a layer of filler material of treated, recycled plastics material referred to as “re-grind” and a vapor barrier layer of a plastic material substantially impermeable by hydrocarbons. The HDPE-layer may, be one surface layer of each wall shell and the vapor barrier layer is preferably the other surface layer of each wall shell. Depending on the material properties of the vapor barrier layer, an additional adhesive layer may also be necessary for connection with the adjacent layer.

  • Patent number: 6685220
Abstract: An airbelt is provided that passes smoothly through an anchor and winds around a retractor. The airbelt includes a non-inflating section and a flat hollow-cylindrical inflating section. A bag is arranged only within the inflating section. An end of the bag as well as an end of the belt is connected to a tongue. The non-inflating section is inserted into a through-anchor and is connected to a retractor so as to enable to be wound up around and pulled out of the retractor. The belt is consecutively and integrally made by knitting or weaving all the parts extending from the non-inflating section toward the inflating section. A weft thread, which is lined up with a fusion thread such as a thread having a core-sheath structure, is inserted into the non-inflating section so as to be processed with heat.
