Abstract: A pressure testing unit for pressure testing equipment including a test cell having first and second side walls, a cell frame, a lid pivotally mounted on the first side wall, a first tie rod disposed through the cell frame, a second tie rod disposed through the cell frame, a first impact plate removably secured to proximal ends of the first and second side walls and proximal ends of the first and second tie rods, and a second impact plate removably secured to distal ends of the first and second side walls and distal ends of the first and second tie rods. The test cell may be lengthened by attaching a second test cell thereto. One of the impact plates may be removed from the test cell, and receptacles on the test cell may be connected to receptacles on the second test cell.

The cover apparatus includes a cover configured to be pivotably coupled to a body of the electronic device to open or close a portion of the body, and an elastic member, one end of which is supported by the cover, and the other end of which is supported by the body. Abstract: A mechanism is provided for physically protecting an interface on an electronic device having first and second protrusions, each having a surface. The mechanism includes first and second clamping mechanisms, a hinge assembly and a cover plate. Each clamping mechanism has a pair of blocks that are detachably fastenable together. As assembled along the protrusion surface of the device, the blocks form a channel that rigidly engages that surface. The hinge assembly forms a pivotable joint and can be removably attached to the first clamping mechanism to orient the pivotable joint substantially parallel to the interface. The cover plate can be removably attached to the hinge assembly for disposal to swing on the pivotable joint between closed and open positions. In the closed position, the cover plate securely connects to at least the second clamping mechanism.

The opening, configured as a modified teardrop opening through the body, includes an arc portion adjacent a circumference of the body opposite the hinge in fluid cooperation with an elongate vent extending perpendicularly from the arc portion towards the hinge. The body has a lip adjacent to the arc portion of the opening, extending radially away from the opening. The cap is configured to seal the body when articulated in proximity with the body.

A first of the openings providing access to a pipe receptacle extending into the base from the first opening. A second of the openings providing access to a tobacco receptacle extending into the base from the second opening. The accessory includes a lid pivotally connected to the base by a hinge located above the upper surface of the base for selective movement in directions toward and away from the smoking pipe receptacle and the tobacco receptacle between an open position and a closed position.

Various improvements are disclosed including a new mechanism for positioning wedge shaped arcuate segments between the door and the sub body, a retainer mechanism for guiding movement of cross bars, a split hinge adjustment mechanism for adjusting planarity and concentricity between the closure door and the sub body, an increased annular wall body thickness region surrounding the sealing surface for reducing warpage during welding, a pressure lock rod member which also engages a combination of cross bars and a crank for driving the cross bars, and a pry bar that can facilitate better manually operated leveraging of the closure door.

Abstract: A method of handling the removal and installation of a manway cover to a manway flange includes removing a plurality of cover bolts from a portion of the cover, providing a flange hinge plate of a portable cover hinge device with an aperture therethrough, inserting the first end of a fastening pin through the aperture and into an aligned bolt opening of the flange, where the pin first end has a bore transverse to the longitudinal axis of the pin, inserting a transverse rod into the bore of the pin, securing the flange hinge plate to the flange, inserting a first end of another fastening pin through the cover hinge plate aperture and into an aligned bolt opening in the cover and securing the cover hinge plate to the cover, pivotally connecting the flange hinge plate to the cover hinge plate, and removing any remaining cover bolts.

Abstract: A trash can assembly has a lid pivotably coupled to an upper end of an outer shell, and a pivoting pedal bar that is coupled to the lid via a link rod. The closing motion of the lid is dampened by counter-balancing the closing force of the lid, which can be accomplished by generating a counter-balance force against the pedal bar that is equal to or slightly less than the closing force of the lid. The counter-balance force can be made to vary during the closing motion of the lid. In addition, the entire link rod can be positioned inside the interior of the outer shell, and the pivot axis of the lid about the outer shell can also positioned inside the interior of the outer shell.

Abstract: A hinged closure for a refuse container, the closure including a main panel portion (12) having opposed side edges (13,14) with dovetail like ribs or tongues (41), and the closure further including two side members (20, 30) each of which have grooves (42) adapted to be associated with a respective side edges of the main panel portion for a releasable connection. The main panel portion is connected to the side members by sliding the ribs in the grooves until pivot mounting hole portions of the both the panel portion and side members are aligned to form a pin mounting sleeve (45). The side members provide increased rigidity and reinforcement to the pivotally mounted closure.

Abstract: A case includes a case body, a lid, hinges supporting the lid on the case body and a waterproof seal placed on the joining surface of the case body. The lid can be turned for closing on the hinges so as to compress the waterproof seal perpendicularly to the joining surface of the case body. Each hinge is provided with a hinge pin having opposite cylindrical end parts and an offset middle part defining a groove together with the cylindrical end parts. The grooves of the hinges permit first knuckles formed integrally with the lid to sink therein so that the lid held with its joining surface parallel to the joining surface of the case body can be moved toward the case body perpendicularly to the joining surface of the case body to compress the waterproof seal perpendicularly between the joining surfaces of the lid and the case body. The hinge pin is restrained from coming off by the first knuckles when the first knuckles are engaged in the groove.

Abstract: A modular animal enclosure includes a housing comprising a top portion affixed to a base portion to form a sheltered interior. The housing includes a door aperture and a climate conditioning aperture. A remove ably attachable climate conditioning unit is installed over the climate conditioning aperture to facilitate a flow of atmospheric air from the exterior environment into the interior of the housing. The climate conditioning unit can variously comprise a cover assembly, a heating unit, a cooling unit and a forced air unit, and different types of units can be installed at different times. In another aspect, the bottom portion can be selectively hinged to the top portion on opposing sides of the housing to allow pivotal movement of the top portion in two opposite directions, as desired to permit access to the interior of the housing for inspection, maintenance and cleaning of the interior.

Abstract: A manhole cover includes a cylindrical manhole including manhole lugs, wherein the manhole lugs extend around the upper outer periphery of the manhole; the cover includes cover lugs, the cover lugs extend around the outer periphery of the cover. The cover co-operatively mates with and closes off the manhole. A strap also extends around the cover and manhole lugs such that applying tension to the strap assembly forceably urges together the cover and manhole lugs wherein the strap for clamping together the manhole lugs to the cover lugs thereby placing cover into a sealed position.

Abstract: A hinge assembly for a door of a kimchi storage device is disclosed. The hinge assembly has a support member 60 including a first contact surface 62a sloping down on the upper surface thereof and a second contact surface 62b sloping down thereon next to the first contact surface 62a and prevents the door 5 from coming off the upper surface of the body 6 of the kimchi storage device by maintaining the closed position of the door tightly and prevents cold air leakage by maintaining a sealed state. Abstract: A display package for a storage container includes a primary and secondary blister package. The primary blister package includes a cutaway portion incorporated thereon allowing a user to rotate a cover of the storage container through the cutaway portion about its hinge. A base of the storage container is retained within the primary blister package thereby precluding the user from withdrawing the whole storage container from the primary blister package. The secondary blister package includes a plurality of tool accessories arranged therein. The secondary blister package is disposed within an extension section of the primary blister package and positioned above the base of the storage container.

Abstract: Closing device for a container, in particular a drinking glass, having a lid (2) adapted for pivoting about a pivotal axle (13), a fastening arrangement (3) for securing the pivotal axle (13) relative to the container, and a connector (4) connected to the lid (2) and the pivotal axle (13). The connector (4) is displaceable with respect to the pivotal axle (13), thereby permitting adjustment of the spacing between the pivotal axle (13) and the lid (2) in the direction of the connector (4).

Abstract: A two-part hinged carrying case having a first and a second part. First and second molded foam inserts formed from electrically non-conductive resilient foam are positioned, respectively, within the first and second part of the two-part hinged carrying case. The first molded foam insert includes a number of two-part cavities formed therein and open to a first insert surface. Each of the two-part cavities has a first cavity open to the first insert surface having a first diameter less than a diameter of a battery to be inserted therein and a depth greater than one-half a length of the battery to be inserted therein and a second cavity concentrically oriented with the first cavity and in connection with the first cavity. The second cavity has a second diameter at least one-quarter inch less than the first diameter and a depth greater than a positive pole protrusion of the battery to be inserted therein.

Abstract: A display case for simultaneously displaying a phonograph album and record includes a shallow rectangular open topped base tray having a width to receive an album and a length to receive the album and at least a portion of a phonograph record. A support post projects from the bottom of the tray to support and position the record in the case at the end of the tray opposite the album preferably with a portion of the record inserted into an open side of the album. A hinged transparent cover is mounted on the tray to cover the album and record, and a latch is proved to releasably retain the cover in a closed position. Hanger brackets may be mounted on the back of the tray for hanging the case on a wall for displaying the album and record.

Abstract: A carrying case, for example for an item of equipment such as a notebook, comprises a bottom portion and a top portion which can be closed to enclose the item of equipment. The top and bottom portions of the case are hingedly connected together by hinges each comprising a first hinge body and a second hinge body secured adjacent to each other to narrow sides of the top and bottom portions of the case. The hinge bodies are hingedly connected together and are in the form of shock-absorbing feet, including shock-absorbing portions which can be compressed when the case is put down.

Abstract: A lid assembly for a refuse container includes a lid member pivotally attached to the upper surface of the refuse container, a lid prop and a mechanism for pivotally attaching the lid prop to the container. The lid member includes a cam-shaped lobe which contacts the upper surface of the container when the lid member is in an open position limiting the range of pivoting motion of the lid member. The lid member further includes a bottom surface and a front surface. When pivoted to a lid supporting position, a lid supporting surface of the lid prop contacts the bottom surface of the lid member and a flange of the lid prop faces the front surface of the lid member. The lid prop is pivotally coupled to the refuse container such that gravity forces the flange toward the front surface of the lid member when the container is in its upright position.
