  • Patent number: 9004314
Abstract: A dispenser is disclosed for flat items such as disposable gloves that are contained within a dispensing bag that has an at least partially-open front side. The dispenser includes a base that has a rear wall and a pair of opposing side walls. A non-opaque cover with a dispensing aperture therethrough is pivotally fixed between each side wall and adapted to swing between an open and a closed position. At least one elastic cord is stretched between each side wall to urge the dispensing bag towards the cover when the cover is in the closed position and the dispensing bag is between the cover and the at least one elastic cord. The front side of the dispensing bag may be non-opaque and open at a dispensing bag aperture therethrough, a temporary adhesive being fixed proximate a periphery of the dispensing bag aperture.

  • Patent number: 8191731
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for feeding screws. In the apparatus, screws are scooped up from the storage container by a scooping unit and put onto a carrying unit. The screws are arranged in line and carried by the carrying unit and discharged through a discharge unit. The scooping unit includes a rotating arm which rotates on the outer wall of the storage container, and a magnet which is fastened to the front end of the rotating arm. The carrying unit includes a screw receiving part. The rotating arm rotates on the outer wall of the storage container to scoop up the screws using magnetic force of the magnet and load the screws onto the screw receiving part. The scooping unit further includes a magnet spacing part which is provided on the outer wall of the storage container.

  • Patent number: 7975877
Abstract: A bead feeder for serially delivering beads to a downstream location comprises a bead supply wheel which rotates about a vertical axis. The bead supply wheel includes a bead supply bowl and a plurality of radially arranged channels below the bowl connected to rotate with the bowl. Discharge openings in the bowl are in alignment with the radially arranged channels to delivery beads to those channels, and a bead receiving pocket is positioned at the outer end of each channel. A transfer wheel picks up beads from the bead receiving pockets and transfers those beads to a delivery wheel by vacuum transfer and release. The delivery wheel serially delivers the beads to the downstream location.

  • Publication number: 20040245280
Abstract: The present invention relates to a hopper for preventing theft of undispensed products from a vending machine. The disclosed anti-theft hopper receives dispensed products and allows customers to retrieve dispensed products, but prevents unauthorized access to the interior of a vending machine through the product delivery port. The anti-theft hopper has a first opening through which dispensed products enter the hopper and a second opening through which dispensed products are retrieved by customers. A hopper flap is pivotally coupled to the hopper, wherein the hopper flap is adaptable to pivotally swing over products dispensed into the hopper to allow consumers to retrieve dispensed products from the hopper and wherein the hopper flap is further adaptable to prevent unauthorized access to undispensed products by blocking the insertion of a protruding device through the hopper.

  • Patent number: 6681954
Abstract: A product dispenser which includes a main housing and a second housing. The main housing contains a pivot arm that closes an electrical switch via a tension spring for producing a desired sound. The pivot arm is operated by a push button which functions to raise a scissor jack which in turn raises a conveyor tube in which a product has been loaded from a product reservoir. The conveyor tube is provided with a slide door that prevents discharge of a product from the reservoir. The conveyor tube also includes a push rod that contacts a pivotable character when the conveyor tube is raised. The push rod pushes the character over so it appears that the character is pouring a product from a container. At the same time the product moves from the conveyor tube to an exit tube. Then the movements are reversed to a rest position from which they started.

  • Patent number: 4249841
Abstract: Wires are picked from a loose bundle of wires which have been cut to length, prior to feeding to a processing machine such as a grid welding machine. The bundle is laid on a supporting table (23) so that end parts of the wires project freely beyond the table. A lifting beam (18) having a vertical slot (19) is then raised beneath the projecting end parts of the wires so that most of the wires are raised but the others are received one above the other in the slot. A gripper having clamping cheeks (20) is applied from below and grips the lowermost wire in the slot. The gripper is mounted on a carrier (2) which is movable parallel to the wire axes to pull the gripped wire longitudinally out of the slot.

  • Patent number: 4236555
Abstract: An attachment for a screwgun is provided which has the capability of handling screw lengths of up to eight inches. The nosepiece is made collapsible to bring the head of the fastener into engagement with the driver. The nosepiece is made removable to facilitate replacement with a shorter nosepiece for feeding smaller fasteners, easy clearing of jams and replacement of the driver bit. The slide collar which moves with the drive rod may be locked in the collapsed position so that the driver bit may be changed without disassembling the attachment or removing it from the power tool.
