Abstract: A feeding apparatus includes a storage chamber, an ejection channel and a discharging adjustment structure. The storage chamber has a discharging hole. The ejection channel communicates with the storage chamber through the discharging hole. The discharging adjustment structure is disposed in the storage chamber and includes a fixing member and a baffle. The fixing member is disposed on a side wall of the storage chamber and is adjacent to the discharging hole. The baffle is movably disposed on the fixing member, and one end of the baffle is adjacent to the discharging hole.

Abstract: A promotional item comprises a writing instrument having a substantially flat surface and a box carrying the writing instrument and having a top with a flat surface. A matching recess in the box has an opening in the flat surface matching a profile of the writing instrument. The flat surface of the writing instrument is flush with the flat surface of the box when the writing instrument is carried by the box and positioned in the recess. Promotional indicia is disposed on the flat surface of the box and the flat surface of the writing instrument.

Abstract: A granulated nutritional supplement dispensing machine extracts single-serving doses from a multi-serving supplements cartridge for delivery as a drinkable solution. A lead serving chamber is pierced so that its powered contents drain into a mixing cup together with a metered quantity of water from an integrated water tank. A vibrator unit assists drainage of the granulated materials from the lead serving chamber. The mixing cup is rotated at high speed to blend the water and supplements into a slurry. The supplements cartridge is indexed after (or before) use so that an unopened serving chamber is presented each time for extracting its supplements. This enables partially-used supplements cartridges to be used in the machine, as is conducive in multiple-user households. The supplements cartridge is configured with read-write data capability to indicate whether or not the contents of each serving chamber have been emptied.

Abstract: A dispenser for utility-knife blades has a longitudinally elongated housing having a longitudinally forwardly open front end and a pair of transversely confronting inner faces each formed with a flat front portion terminating at the open front end and a flat rear portion. Each front portion is offset transversely outward from the respective rear portion and forms therewith a respective longitudinally forwardly directed shoulder. A slide in the housing is formed with a transversely throughgoing compartment adapted to hold a stack of the utility knife blades. The slide is shiftable between a rear position with the stack of blades resting by gravity on the rear portion of whichever inner face is directed upward and a front position with the stack resting on the front portion of the upwardly directed inner face and forward of the shoulder of the upwardly directed inner face. The offset is equal generally to a thickness of a single blade.

Abstract: In one aspect, a method of dispensing a test strip is provided in which the dispensed test strip remains stationary while the inner housing moves within an outer housing. In another embodiment, a test strip dispenser is provided that dispenses one test strip at a time. The test strip dispenser includes a movable inner housing nested inside an outer housing. A test strip dispensing system is also described.

A pill dispensing track assembly is removably coupled to the casing and includes a pill ramp for delivering pills to the pill dispensing opening and an insert that includes a pill dispenser slot that receives pills from the pill ramp and is open to the pill dispensing opening. The insert is detachably from the pill ramp and is insertable through an opening in the casing for being attached to the pill ramp. The pill ramp includes an adjustable member that modifies a characteristic of the pill ramp based on at least one characteristic of the insert that is selected, inserted through the opening in the casing and coupled to the pill ramp.

Abstract: A container adapted for dispensing a product is provided. The container includes an outer casing body for receiving a dispensing tray. The dispensing tray has an internal storage compartment for storage of a plurality of units of a product to be dispensed, and includes a cover portion defining at least one dispensing aperture through which a stored unit of product is accessible when the outer casing body is in a dispensing position. A sealing member is engaged with one of the outer casing body and the dispensing tray, and is configured to interact with the other of the outer casing body and the dispensing tray to form a seal about an outer peripheral portion of the dispensing tray when the outer casing body is in a closed and locked position. The container includes a locking mechanism that releasably locks the outer casing body in the closed and locked position.

Abstract: A dispenser unit for countermeasures. A magazine for the countermeasures is removably arranged on the dispenser unit. A dispensing nozzle dispenses the countermeasures out of the magazine. A movable seal is arranged within the magazine. The seal in a first position covers the dispensing nozzle and in a second position opens the dispensing nozzle, such that the countermeasures may be dispensed through the dispensing nozzle when the seal is in the second position.

Abstract: A dispensing container is provided, including an outer casing having an open end, a top, a bottom, sidewalls extending between the top and bottom, and an interior compartment; an inner tray slidably received within the interior compartment of the outer casing and including a storage compartment configured to store a plurality of units of product to be dispensed, and a dispensing trough in communication with the storage compartment, the inner tray extending outwardly from the open end of the outer casing and configured for sliding movement between a closed and locked position and a dispensing position, wherein the dispensing trough includes an aperture sized to allow a single unit of product exit the dispensing trough at one end thereof and a slot at the opposing end thereof, and the outer casing further includes a rib extending into the interior compartment and positioned to enter the slot of the dispensing trough.

Abstract: A pill dispensing cap that secures to a conventional pill container. The pill dispensing cap has a lower cap, a pill discharge port, and a spring loaded rotatable and slidable upper cap. Pills are dispensed one at a time, and the remaining pills are isolated from external contamination. A child resistant lock prevents small children and/or mentally handicapped individuals from easily accessing medicine inside the container. The child resistant lock uses a vertically slidable upper cap that is slidably and rotatably attached to the lower cap. A child safety lock uses a key in the upper cap that must be aligned with a slot in the lower cap to allow a pill to be dispensed. When the key and slot are aligned, the upper cap is vertically compressed against the lower cap. As the upper cap moves toward the base cap, a gravity fed pill discharge port is exposed which releases a single pill.

Abstract: A container for dispensing a product is provided, the container including an outer casing body having a cavity; a dispensing tray adapted for sliding movement within the cavity of the outer casing body between a closed and locked position and a dispensing position, the dispensing tray having an internal storage compartment for storage of a plurality of units of a product to be dispensed, a dispensing window, and a stop for engaging the outer casing body to prevent removal of the dispensing tray from the cavity; and a locking mechanism for releasably locking the dispensing tray in the cavity, the locking mechanism including protrusions projecting from the outer casing body into the cavity and positioned adjacent to a moveable flap formed in the outer casing body, and recesses carried by the dispensing tray and positioned to engage the protrusions when the dispensing tray is in the closed and locked position.

Abstract: A sheet member container from which sheet members housed in a stacked state can be taken out reliably and in which occurrence of a wrinkle in a next sheet member in a returning operation of a sheet feeder is reduced. The sheet member container includes a container body having a top face opening for containing stacked sheet members; a lid member for openably/closably closing with respect to a top face opening of the container body; and a sheet feeding mechanism provided for the lid member for feeding the sheet members one by one from the top via a slot formed in either one of the container body or the lid member. Abstract: There is provided a partition plate for use in a V-shaped measure of a medicine packing device, which allows a medicine remaining in the V-shaped measure to be easily cleaned and is smoothly reciprocated in the V-shaped measure. The partition plate 7 comprises: a slide member 8 including a guide receiving portion 11 and being attached so as to be reciprocated along a side plate 4; and a partition member 9 including a guide portion 18 removably guided by the guide receiving portion 11 of the slide member 8, the partition member being reciprocated in the V-shaped measure 1 while being maintained parallel to end plates 5. A grasping portion 8a for grasping the partition plate 7 is integrally provided in the slide member 8. Grasping the grasping portion 8a and moving the partition plate 7 prevent the partition plate 7 from flexing and smoothly moves the partition plate 7 in the V-shaped measure.

Abstract: Moving a lid dispenses single thin films from a container. A pad coated with TPE, rubber or silicone rotates downward and contacts the top thin film strip. The pad moves the strip toward a front opening. When the lid is fully opened, the strip has been ejected far enough for the user to remove it. A sliding top and lever dispense a strip. The user slides back the top of the container, causing lever with a living hinges and links to flex downward. A pad rotates downward towards the top strip and outward towards an opening exposed in the front of the container and the strip is ejected out this opening. The pad is connected to a lever on a gear. Sliding the top of the container rotates the gear. The pad contacts the strip and moves the strip through the uncovered front dispensing opening.

Abstract: A slide ejector mechanism for automatically removing a slide from a slide stack is set forth. The slide ejector mechanism comprises an ejector blade adapted to engage a longitudinal edge of the slide and an ejector drive. The ejector drive is connected to rotate the ejector blade through a curved ejection path. During this rotation, the ejector blade engages the longitudinal edge of the slide to remove the slide from the slide stack and place the slide at an output position for subsequent manipulation. In accordance with a further enhancement, the slide ejector mechanism may include structures that render the apparatus self-cleaning of broken slides. Such structures may include a platen having an opening therethrough along at least a portion of the ejection path. The opening has a width that is slightly less than a length of the slide so that the slide spans the opening and is supported at its edges by the platen.

Abstract: A battery dispenser and a refill for a battery dispenser are provided. In one embodiment the battery dispenser includes a disk that supports a plurality of batteries, a cover that has an opening, a grip ring that rotates the disk to align the batteries with the opening of the cover, and a push element capable of advancing batteries from inside the cover to a landing external to the cover. The disk rotates relative to the grip ring between a load position and a dispensing position, and the disk is removable from the grip ring when the disk is in the load position.

Abstract: A dispensing system for dispensing items. The system includes a base that has first and second compartments. The base can rotate about an axis. An item can be stored in one of the first and second compartments. The system also includes a cover that covers the base, the first compartment, and the second compartment. Furthermore, the cover has an opening. The system also includes a handle that is coupled to the cover. The handle can be used to actuate the cover to rotate about the axis to align the opening with one of the first and second compartments. The system also includes an ejector that ejects the item from the compartment when the handle aligns the ejector with the opening.

Abstract: A device for packaging and dispensing stacked items may include, a box including: a first portion, in particular a cover; and a second portion, in particular a drawer, that is movable relative to the first portion between a retracted position and an extended position; and a stack of items disposed in the second portion; the first portion including a drive member configured to press against the stack of items while the second portion is being moved toward the retracted position, and to entrain an item in contact therewith relative to a remainder of the stack in order to enable the item to be grasped by a user; and the second portion and the drive member also being configured in such a manner as to prevent the drive member from pressing against the stack of items over at least a fraction of the stroke of the second portion from the retracted position toward the extended position.

Abstract: A battery dispenser and a refill for a battery dispenser are provided. In one embodiment the battery dispenser includes a housing that has an opening, a landing, and a push element capable of advancing batteries from inside the housing to the landing external to the housing. The position of at least one of the push element and the landing is adjustable to enable the battery dispenser to dispense batteries that are one of at least two distinct physical sizes. A refill for the battery dispenser includes a base, a plurality of batteries disposed on the base and a retainer that contacts the batteries and is connected to the base. The refill base can cooperate with the dispenser to adjust the height of the landing or the push element.

Abstract: A dispenser for items of merchandise is formed as a wire rack having an entrance opening for placing the items into the dispenser and a discharge opening for removal of the items from the dispenser by a customer. A pivotally moveable gate located adjacent the discharge opening permits removal of the items one at a time, with a time delay being required between the removal of each of the items to retard shoplifting. The gate also produces an audible sound when moving toward the open position to further reduce possible shoplifting.

Abstract: A package assembly 10 for the storage and distribution of a plurality of stacked mints 12 is provided. The package assembly 10 includes a cylindrical outer shell 14 including a shell sidewall 16, a shell bottom surface 18, and a shell open top 20. The shell sidewall 16 includes a sidewall inner surface 22 and a sidewall outer surface 24. A vertical control slot 28 is formed in the shell sidewall 16, the vertical control slot 28 having a control slot height 40 and a control slot width 42. At least one retention protrusion 78 is formed onto a slot side edge 34 such that the control slot width 42 is reduced in the location of the at least one retention protrusion 78. A cylindrical inner insert 26 including an insert sidewall 44, an insert top surface 46, and an insert open bottom 48, is formed to house the plurality of stacked mints 12. The cylindrical inner insert 26 is positioned within the cylindrical outer shell 14 such that the insert open bottom 48 faces the shell bottom surface 18.

Abstract: A blade dispenser assembly includes a housing and an integrally formed shuttle mechanism which functions to dispense one blade at a time from the bottom of a stack of blades held within the housing. The shuttle mechanism is configured to engage a bottommost blade in the stack when in a closed position and to carry the engaged blade with it when the shuttle mechanism is moved to an opened position. In the opened position, the shuttle mechanism is partially extended from the housing and securely holds and displays the withdrawn blade. An exemplary preferred shuttle mechanism is pivotally coupled to the housing and includes an arm portion that allows a person to pivot the shuttle mechanism away from the housing while keeping the person's hand safely away from the blade being withdrawn.

Abstract: A container is disclosed for dispensing a controlled amount of paper products. The container includes a housing including a first end wall and a plurality of exterior walls defining an interior surface and an interior area within the interior surface for receiving the plurality of paper products. A first, second and third of the exterior walls intersect a first end wall to form a portion of the interior surface and define an open face of the container. The exterior walls further include a fourth wall extending between the second and third walls adjacent the first end wall and the open face. The container defines a dispensing throat extending through the fourth wall adjacent the slit in the cartridge. The first end wall may be slanted relative to the second and third walls. A cartridge is inserted into the interior area of the housing through the open face of the container. The cartridge contains the plurality of paper products to be dispensed.

Abstract: A pill dispenser for dispensing pills is provided that has a container for holding the pills to be dispensed. The container is closed at one end and open at the opposite end. The container is slidably received in a sleeve. The dispenser has an outlet through which a pill can pass from the container and a gate for closing the outlet to prevent a pill from passing through the outlet. The arrangement is such that the gate is opened when the container is moved in the sleeve, so that a pill can pass through the open end of the container to the outlet to be dispensed from the dispenser. The dispenser may be arranged so that one and only one pill is dispensed at a time.

Abstract: Dispenser for pills or sweets contained in a tube closed by a lid. When not in use, a chimney prevents the pills from falling out of a hopper disposed within the body of the tube. When the lid is pushed in, a boss displaces the chimney towards the axial center of the tube. The pills are dispensed downwardly therein until they contact a cross-pin which acts as a fixed stop. Releasing the lid causes the chimney and the pills contained therein to move laterally such that the pills then fall to the bottom of the lid.

Abstract: A hygienic dispenser for hard candies and medicaments in wafer form, each package of which is constituted by a stack of such wafers protectively sealed in an inner foil wrapper to create a roll that is surrounded by a removable outer sleeve. The dispenser includes a tubular container for receiving the roll through its open end and to seat it on an axially-advanceable platform which urges the roll upwardly. Covering the open end of the container and pivoted thereto is a cap whose thickness corresponds to that of a wafer. The cap is laterally swingable to a cocked position in which the open end is uncovered to release the roll which is then advanced by the platform to engage a visor projecting from the top of the cap, thereby exposing the uppermost wrapped wafer. When the cap is swung back to again cover the open end, it acts to sever the wrapper and discharge the uppermost wafer, the next wafer in the roll then engaging the cap in readiness for the next operation.

Abstract: A rectangular, vertically-extending tank having an upwardly-extending, spring-pressed pressure head automatically feeds sliced bread against the underside of a cover plate supported for horizontally reciprocative, forth-and-back movement over the upper end of the tank. The cover plate has a transverse sidewall portion centrally disposed along its length and operative to push uppermost slices of bread, one at a time, forwardly to slide off the upper end of the pressure plate for deposit on a receiving tray each time the cover plate is moved manually through a forth-and-back cycle of operation. Ratchet and pawl mechanism operative between the cover plate and its guide means prevents retrograde movement prior to completion of the sliding movement in one direction or the other.
