  • Patent number: 11795696
Abstract: A roof rock spreader has a rock hopper and a motive drive system. An optical system detects areas already treated and areas still in need of treatment. Location aware sensors detect present location and speed of travel. A control system determines proper application paths and locations, and controls application of roof rock to provide an even and consistent layer. When the rock hopper empties, the roof rock spreader will move to a refill location. A laser alignment system detects and confirms proper hopper positioning prior to automated refill. During the refilling procedure, wheel load sensors monitor hopper fill. Rock hopper refill may be limited, to accommodate gross vehicle weight limitations of a particular roof. A communication system provides remote viewing through the optical system or other camera to confirm proper function, provides remote emergency shut-off, and enables a plurality of like spreaders to work in unison.

  • Patent number: 4541548
Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing paint or other liquids having a rotational valve actuable between a dispensing position and a suction position and a piston and cylinder assembly in flow coupling relation to the valve, and having a base plate for rotationally positioning the piston and cylinder assembly between the dispensing position and the suction position, including an inclined plane for imparting a predetermined suction movement of the piston during the rotational positioning.

  • Patent number: 4509659
Abstract: Portable liquid measuring and dispensing device comprising a main reservoir for containing oil and to which a chamber is connected for metering a predetermined quantity of oil, this chamber being solid with the main reservoir and having a visual indicator showing the quantity of liquid contained in the chamber. The device includes a liquid moving assembly solid with the reservoir and the chamber, this assembly being formed of a rotary pump brought into rotation by a D.C. motor connected to a power source including a polarity inverter switch having a pair of buttons, each actuatable to cause rotation of the pump in one of its two directions of rotation.

  • Patent number: 4484597
Abstract: A homogenizer device, in particular for the production of whipped cream, comprising in combination, the following components: an external sleeve and an internal sleeve between which is formed a convoluted labyrinth, the internal sleeve housing a valve element which forms with it a chamber communicating with said labyrinth and with the delivery tube for the base mixture, said valve element consisting of a stem bearing a valve at one of its ends and a valve at its opposite end, the former being a valve for controlling the dispensing of the whipped cream and the latter being a valve for controlling the conduction of the mixture through said labyrinth, said valve element being also translatable against a counteracting spring.

  • Patent number: 4204564
Abstract: Disclosed is an assembly including a dump tank disposed near the fill pipe for an underground gasoline storage tank at an automobile service station. The tank is normally isolated by a hand valve and a check valve from communication with the storage tank fill pipe, however, when the storage tank has been filled from a transport vehicle, the gasoline in the fill pipe and the flexible delivery hose may be dumped into the dump tank by opening a manually operated valve. The check valve permits gasoline thus dumped to flow from the dump tank back to the storage tank as gasoline is pumped from the storage tank during normal pump operation of the service station.

  • Patent number: 4139124
Abstract: A liquid dispensing container is provided with a pressure controlled flexible outlet which is opened and closed by applying and releasing pressure on a flexible area in the cover of the container above the level of the liquid and opposite the flexible outlet of the cover. An increase of pressure within the container by pressure on the flexible area causes automatic opening of a resilient conduit in the outlet permitting liquid to pass therethrough while a decrease of pressure in the container causes the resilient conduit to close and seal the container. A collection spout surrounds the resilient conduit and any dripping of liquid occurring when the contents of the container are being dispensed is collected in the spout and forced back into the container through a valve controlled orifice when pressure on the flexible area of the container is released.
