    Abstract: An injection device for injecting a fluid into an object, the injection device including a plunger assembly for operative engagement with a syringe adapted to contain the fluid and permit ejection of the fluid therefrom via a syringe outlet, the plunger assembly being displaceable in a first direction which causes at least some of the fluid contained in the syringe to be ejected from the syringe via the syringe outlet and an inadvertent fluid ejection prevention assembly coupled to the plunger assembly for preventing ejection of fluid from the syringe in situations where the syringe outlet is neither in operative engagement with a vial adaptor suitable for providing fluid communication with the interior of a vial nor in fluid communication with an injection site within the object.

A first of the cylinders has a working volume that differs from a second of the cylinders. The actuating member is centrally located and the cylinders are arranged radially about the actuating mechanism. The working volume of the cylinders can be varied by adjusting the spacing of the cylinders from the actuating mechanism, thus varying the stroke of pistons housed within the cylinders, and/or by providing the cylinders with different inner diameters. A method of metering fluids includes independently adjusting stroke of a plurality of pistons to adjust the volume of metered fluid, and selecting different cylinder diameters to adjust the volume of metered fluid.

    Abstract: The dispenser provides for accurate and easily repeatable dispensation of selected volumes of paint colorant. The dispenser has an adjustable stop for limiting the travel of a piston in a paint colorant metering pump. The stop position can be adjusted in equally spaced increments by a coarse adjustment which includes a pin which may be engaged in equally spaced holes in a stop support member. The stop position can be adjusted to intermediate positions by a fine adjustment. The fine adjustment includes a threaded stop member mounted in a threaded aperture. The pitch of the threads on the stop member is such that the stop moves a distance of one increment in a single rotation of the stop member. The stop member may be turned by a knob. The knob is slidably mounted so that it does not move axially with the stop member and has a limited rotation so that each position of the knob corresponds to only one stop position.

    Abstract: A machine for dividing dough in which a dough supply unit delivers dough under pressure at an outlet end into dividing chambers of a rotatable carrier, the carrier having double measurement pistons in the dividing chambers for selectively delivering larger and smaller dough masses for a given stroke of the pistons. Each of the measurement pistons can be manually adjusted from outside the machine to be placed into first and second operational states in which, for a given stroke of the measurement piston respective larger and smaller volumes of dough mass are discharged from the machine. Each measurement piston includes an external piston slidable in a respective dividing chamber and an internal piston slidable in the external piston and the pistons are coupled for conjoint movement in the first operational state whereas in the second operational state, the external piston is fixed in the dividing chamber and the internal piston is slidable in the external piston.

The front panel has an opening therein through which the cards may be seen and through which a finger may touch and push on the card. A resilient biasing means is placed in the recess at a position between the cards firmly in the recess. A cam surface is formed along the edge of the recess with the opening so that when the card is pushed toward the opening, a single card engages the cam surface and part of it moves out of the recess so that it may be readily grasped and removed from the recess.

    Abstract: An improved precision diluter/dispenser device is provided with features for effecting automatic compensation for non-linearity of aspirated fluid volumes of the particular piston and cylinder syringe assemblies that are included with the diluter/dispenser device in order to enhance the accuracy of the device by varying the piston stroke length in order to correct for non-linearity of aspirated or dispensed fluid volumes. Suitable correction factors are programmed into the control mechanism of the device in order to automatically make the necessary adjustments in stroke length so as to significantly enhance the linearity of the movement of fluid volumes throughout the working volume of the piston and cylinder assembly, whether the movement of fluid be of a very small percentage or a very large percentage of the volume capacity of the assembly.

The surfaces may be provided by contrarotatable rollers and are disposed so that granular material may pass from one side of the nip through a port into the duct, and are moveable into the nip from the other side. The apparatus further includes metering means defining a controllable outlet from the receptacle and positioned with respect to the nip for feeding granular material into the nip from said other side at an adjustable controlled rate. Also disclosed is a distributor for gas-entrained granular material which includes a conical, part-conical or inverted conical surface in a diverging housing.
