  • Patent number: 5065905
Abstract: An apparatus for storing, transporting and dispensing hardware to workers at workstations on an assembly line. Specifically, this invention relates to a transportable rotatable dispensing apparatus. Thus, the apparatus can be loaded with supplies, hardware or articles, then transported to a multiplicity of workstations for workers to use in an assembly of a product. The apparatus has a base support and at least one storage unit mounted on top of the support. The storage unit is made up of a number of containers rotatably mounted on the support. Each container has a discharging device which is operator actuated. The discharged articles will drop into a chute that directs the articles to a receiving device mounted on the support. On top of the storage unit is a covering that has a loading device for allowing the containers to be loaded with articles.

  • Patent number: 5050781
Abstract: A dosing device is provided for introducing small doses of a liquid contained in a first chamber into a second liquid flowing in a second chamber. The device includes a body traversed by a bore which fluidly connects the chambers to one another and in which slides a push pin mounted on a sliding member and a follower pin mounted freely between the push pin and an abutment bar attached to the sliding member. The sliding member reciprocates parallel to the axis of the bore whereby the follower pin is pushed in one direction by the abutment bar and in the opposite direction by the push pin. A space separating the follower pin from the push pin constitutes the dosing chamber which is displaced between the first and second chambers.

  • Patent number: 4706849
Abstract: The dispensing device has an open ended cylinder member for receiving a can container having an open end supported on an annular shoulder at one end of the cylinder member. A cup shaped piston, extendible and retractible relative to the other end of the cylinder member carries a piercing member to pierce a hole in the closed end of the can on an initial retraction of the cup shaped piston within the cylinder member. A second retraction of the piston applies a pressure on the material in the can for discharge from its open end into a material receiving chamber from where it is ejected into a feeding dish. An air bleed hole in the piston is open during the piercing operation and manually closed when material is to be discharged from the can.

  • Patent number: 4334635
Abstract: A machine for dispensing bulk merchandise comprises a dispensing chute comprised of a horizontally extending wall part and a merchandise dispensing receptacle attached thereto, and a vertically extending wall part extending upwardly from the horizontally extending wall part. The receptacle is movable through a discharge opening in the bottom of a housing containing the chute between a retracted and a forward, dispensing position, and the vertically extending wall part is pivotally connected to the horizontally extending wall part for movement therewith upon movement of the receptacle. A cut-off slide is movable with the receptacle between a retracted and a forward, cut-off position for cutting off delivery of merchandise from a hopper into the chute when the receptacle is moved into the forward position. A stop prevents the horizontally extending wall part from projecting beyond the discharge opening when the same is moved into the forward position wherein the receptacle projects therebeyond.
