  • Patent number: 8293350
Abstract: A mold barrier eliminates the establishment and continued resurgence of microbial colonies on product dispenser components routinely exposed to fluids and food products. The mold barrier may be utilized in a product dispenser to prevent the establishment of mold colonies on the product dispenser. The mold barrier adheres to potentially exposed surfaces to create an impenetrable boundary layer, thereby preventing the errant product from permeating into porous materials not suitable for product contact. Upon contacting the mold barrier, the errant product moves downward. Residues left from the errant product may be removed when the product dispenser and mold barrier are sanitized during routine cleansing operations. Upon sanitization, the product dispenser may be restored to a sanitized condition.

  • Patent number: 5912054
Abstract: A coating apparatus has a nozzle for delivering a photo-resist liquid onto a semiconductor wafer supported by a spin chuck. The nozzle is movable between a supply position and a wait position. At the wait position, there are a roller which is rotatable in one direction and has a circumferential surface with thinner thereon, and a wiper for wiping the circumferential surface of the roller. While the nozzle is located at the wait position, a waiting mode is first performed, and a preparing mode is then performed immediately before the nozzle is moved from the wait position to the supply position. In the waiting mode, delivery of the photo-resist liquid from the nozzle is stopped and the wiper is located at a retreat position, such that a tip port of the nozzle is wetted by the thinner present on the circumferential surface of the roller.

  • Patent number: 4950353
Abstract: An apparatus for continuously manufacturing a sheet of molded compound includes a first conveying unit for continuously conveying a lower film. First and second impregnation rollers are provided above the lower film for impregnating a viscous material and a solid material to obtain a compound mixture to be dropped onto the lower film. First and second scraping rollers are provided below the first and second impregnation rollers to scrape the compound mixture from the impregnation rollers. A scattering roller is provided below the first impregnation roller upstream from the first scraping roller relative the feed direction of the lower film. The scattering roller is positioned to act upon rotation to prevent scattering of portions of the composite mixture caused at least in part by the first scraping roller. A second conveying unit is provided for conveying an upper film.

  • Patent number: 4606990
Abstract: A method for forming a thin layer of one-component non-magnetic developer on the surface of a developer carrying member in a dry type developing device using one-component non-magnetic developer. The non-magnetic developer is supplied to the surface of the developer carrying member, a magnetic blade is disposed with a clearance to the surface of the developer carrying member, and a stationary magnet is disposed across the developer carrying member from the magnetic blade and upstream of the magnetic blade with respect to the direction of movement of the developer carrying member to confine the magnetic particles if formed between the magnet and the magnetic blade. The developer carrying member with the developer is moved past the confined magnetic particles to form a thin layer of dry one-component non-magnetic developer on the surface of the developer carrying member.

  • Patent number: 4332281
Abstract: A method and apparatus for spreading a foamable composition for forming a polyurethane foam. The foamable composition is uniformly spread on all of a surface which is moved by scattering the foamable composition uniformly in its transversal direction. The foamable composition is fed to spread on a first surface and then, the foamable composition is scattered from the first surface as fine particles to the second surface. For example, the foamable composition (10) is fed to spread on a pair of rotated spreading rolls and then, the foamable composition is scattered as fine particles by a pair of rotated scattering rolls (3), (4) which are respectively contacted with the spreading rolls. This can be used for preparing a polyurethane foam sheet or a laminated product having a polyurethane foam layer.
