Plural And/or Single For Plural Openings Patents (Class 222/482)
  • Patent number: 4071452
Abstract: A device for discharging particulate materials, especially when wet and in specific quantities, allows uniform discharging across the cross section of a container through a number of ports in the floor of the container. A device underneath and at a distance from the ports is such that it exhibits plates having nozzles connected to an air or liquid supply under pressure and the application of the said device allows control of the formation of a cone of material whereby the discharging process can be easily controlled and stopped as desired.

  • Patent number: 4058239
Abstract: A feed box includes a chamber defined by oppositely positioned downwardly and inwardly sloping end walls, a vertical side wall and a bottom wall extending downwardly and laterally across said box to the vertical side wall. The vertical side wall may have a slight laterally inward slope to it. A discharge opening is provided in the bottom wall adjacent the vertical side wall and a spout is positioned under the bottom wall opening to direct material flowing from the chamber back towards the longitudinal centerline of the box. The vertical side wall also includes a discharge opening at its lower end and a spout is provided to receive material from the box chamber for directing it laterally away from the box in the opposite direction from the spout associated with the bottom wall opening. Closure gates are provided for each of the discharge openings in the bottom wall and side wall.

  • Patent number: 4042150
Abstract: A water gravity plant feeder comprising a housing, water bottle mounted on said housing, and a device for supplying water from the bottle to plants arranged adjacent the housing. The watering device comprises a feed tray positioned under the water bottle for supplying a measured volume of water at predetermined intervals to a water trough. When full, water is spilled from the trough into a sump in the housing, whence it flows into a water distributor for watering a plurality of plants.

  • Patent number: 4027791
Abstract: A system for transfer of liquid from a storage vessel to and maintaining at least a minimum level in a receiver or plurality of receivers, using the gas arising from liquid vaporized into the gas space above the liquid in the storage vessel to expel liquid through a valve energized by the gas and responsive to gas-back pressure type probe means utilizing the gas. A clustering manifold device applied as a vessel closure provides a liquid manifold valve for four controller devices valving liquid to respective receivers, and a gas manifold provides gas supply connections for supplying gas at pre-established pressure to energize respective controller devices and associated gas probes.

  • Patent number: 4015518
Abstract: An apparatus for repeatably forming shaped dough bodies having a filling. A generally cylindrical filling forming mechanism, in communication with a pressurized source of filling material, is contained within and is surrounded by a generally cylindrical dough forming mechanism in communication with a pressurized source of dough. The filling forming mechanism includes an inner chamber which receives the filling material, means defining a filling material transporting channel extending around the circumference of the filling forming mechanism which channel can be selectively opened to permit the filling material to flow out of it, and a generally cylindrical shell member which is mounted to obstruct the filling material transporting channel and which includes a plurality of shaped filling forming orifices in its periphery. The dough forming mechanism has dough forming orifices in its periphery which are aligned with corresponding filling forming orifices in the shell member of the filling forming mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4009102
Abstract: A water refining system in which spent refining material is removed on a batch basis in small portable containers for regeneration of the material at a central processing plant. The spent material is then replaced with new or regenerated material using a plurality of the same type of portable containers. This provides an exchange type system in which the fixed refiner is of substantially greater size than is usually considered feasible for systems of this type and provides considerable flexibility in selecting the size of the refiner while permitting the use of the same portable containers for evacuating and filling the refiner.

  • Patent number: 3999689
Abstract: A device for transmitting equal amounts of liquid simultaneously to a plurality of locations. An airtight enclosure has a bottom wall formed with a plurality of inwardly opening wells of equal volumes all having bottom openings through which liquid can flow out of the wells. A plurality of exteriorly located liquid-transmitting tubes communicate with the wells through the bottom openings, these tubes respectively having in their interiors valves which automatically close the tubes in response to suction in said interior space of the enclosure while opening said tubes in response to greater than atmospheric pressure in the interior of the enclosure.
