  • Patent number: 4805765
Abstract: A counter display package for dispensing small articles comprises a generally rectangular carton containing a drawer which forms a bottom portion of the carton. A tear-away panel in the front wall of the carton is removed to expose a drawer opening through which the drawer is pulled from a closed to an open position. A chute wall hingedly connected to the drawer extends a substantial distance above the drawer and is disposed within the carton and generally adjacent the rear wall of the carton when the drawer is closed. The chute panel is retained in the latter position by loosely packed small articles contained within the carton. When the drawer is opened the chute panel assumes a position wherein it is forwardly and downwardly inclined from the carton rear wall to the drawer. The inclined chute wall cooperates with portions of the carton front and side walls to form a hopper for directing small articles from the upper portion of the carton into the drawer.

  • Patent number: 4585147
Abstract: An improved dispenser for the contents of collapsible tubes is provided in which a pair of opposing squeezers are advanced along two opposing pairs of externally threaded rods within a housing. The squeezers are made of a flexible material such as semi-rigid rubber and are configured such that one end of each squeezer is longitudinally displaced towards the dispensing aperture in the housing and transversely displaced towards the sidewall of the housing. This arrangement causes the squeezers to deform and change profile when the leading edges of the advancing squeezers are stopped prior to the following edges being stopped. The deformation of the squeezers more effectively places pressure on the collapsible tube near the dispensing aperture of the tube and substantially completely dispenses the contents of the tube.

  • Patent number: 4260076
Abstract: A rotary power hand tool with a rotary chuck is mated to a push-in piston-type dispensing container of caulking via an adapter which mounts on the tool and is secured to the chuck. The adapter has a plunger provided on the end of a non-rotating screw. When the tool trigger is actuated, a transmission on the actuator is operated to advance the screw and plunger thus advancing the piston of the dispensing container. In the preferred embodiment a peg secured to the drive screw and protruding out of the adapter doubles as a way of preventing the drive screw from rotating and as a way to indicate the relative amount of contents remaining to be dispensed until the container is effectively empty.
