Accordingly, differences in static electric potential between the screen flame barrier and the structural handle member parts may be minimized to eliminate static electric sparks.

  • Patent number: 4579261
Abstract: The room spray dispenser (1) holds a container (29) that is provided with a valve element (27) which also works simultaneously as a pump. Above the valve element (27) the operating end (25') of a pressure lever (25) is located. It is loaded in the direction of the valve element (27) with at least one spring (26,33). The blocking lever (14) has a raised contact surface (14"). This surface is pressed downward with the operating end (3') of a swivelling lever triggering mechanism, which is mounted on the door (5) or the door frame (6). This downward movement trips the blocking lever (14), which then allows the pressure lever (25) to press down upon the upper part of the valve element (27) due to the force of the tension spring (26). By the return movement of the swivelling lever (3) the blocking lever (14) is raised upwards to its original position and cocked by means of the cocking lever (15). The tension spring (26) is also stretched during this process.

Abstract: In a refrigerator having a cabinet which defines an opening, an ice dispensing apparatus within the opening dispenses ice pieces through a delivery chute. An inner ice door is mounted on hinges within the delivery chute and movable to a first position which blocks the delivery chute from the passage of ice pieces, or to a second position which allows the passage of ice pieces through the delivery chute. An ice guard is provided which protects the hinges from ice pieces which pass from the ice dispensing apparatus through the delivery chute, as well as from becoming frozen in the first closed position. The ice guard comprises a sweeper member which is biased against the inner ice door and sweeps against it as the inner ice door is moved from the first to the second position, thus removing any ice pieces or water from the inner ice door.

  • Patent number: 4530448
Abstract: A wall mounted liquid dispenser is described as having a vertically disposed tank in which liquid is stored, and a horizontally disposed valve assembly which is in juxtaposed position below the tank and controls the flow, by gravity, of liquid from the tank. The assembly has a vertical passageway which is aligned with the outlet opening of the tank through which liquid exits the tank. A valve stem and attached valve are reciprocable in a multi-diameter bore which is disposed longitudinally of the assembly. The valve is frusto-conically shaped and moves with the stem into and out of transverse blocking relation with the passageway. The end of the valve stem farthest from the valve, protrudes from the assembly and is pivotally attached to a lever which, when rotated in a direction away from the passageway, acts to move the valve out of blocking relation with the passageway, so that liquid is free to flow, by gravity, from the dispenser.
