  • Patent number: 11931611
Abstract: A portable fuel container configured to prevent liquid fuel contained therein from being entirely emptied from the container. The amount of liquid fuel retained in the container can be sufficient to maintain a fuel-to-air ratio in the container at a fuel-rich level that prevents combustion within the container if the container were to be placed near an ignition source or if an ignition source were to somehow enter the container. The container can also include other safety features such as, for example, a flash suppressor located at the fill opening, an extra wide fill opening, and/or an easily controllable dispensing spout. When a flash suppressor is employed, the perforations in the flash suppressor can be configured to retain fuel therein after fuel has been dispensed from the container and the flash suppressor is no longer submerged in fuel.

  • Patent number: 7988013
Abstract: A flow control device includes a hood, a ball valve, a sealing ring, and a handle. The ball valve is movably received in an interior receiving space of the hood and the ball valve is set in sealing engagement with the sealing ring. The ball valve and the handle located outside the hood are coupled together and are thus movable in unison with each other. The ball valve defines a flow passage. The hood forms a discharge opening. When installed on an opening of any kind of container, such as a PET bottle or a glass bottle, or an outlet tube of a water tank, by rotating the handle to move the ball valve, the flow passage can be selectively set in fluid communication with the discharge opening.

    Publication number: 20110011898
Abstract: A tap for use in association with bag in box containers comprising a body, a plug member, an upper seal assembly and a lower seal assembly. The body includes a tap nozzle in the form of an elongated tube having an inner surface and an outer surface, a handle opening at a first end and a dispensing opening at the second end. A nozzle opening extendsinto the elongated tube between the first and second ends and is placeable in fluid communication with a bag of a bag in box container. The plug member is structurally configured to fit and slidably move within the elongated tube of the body such that the outer surface of the plug member faces the inner surface of the elongated tube. In the open orientation, the nozzle opening is in fluid communication with the dispensing opening. In the closed orientation, the nozzle opening is precluded from fluid communication with the dispensing opening.

  • Patent number: 7469804
Abstract: A device for packaging and dispensing of a cosmetic product. The arrangement can be particularly advantageous for make-up and/or a skin care product, and includes a container forming at least one recess capable of accommodating the product. The recess has a first wall at least partially defining an inner surface of the recess, and a second wall rotationally movable relative to the first wall about an axis of rotation. The rotational movement of the second wall about the axis thereby causes a reduction of an angular difference defined between these two walls. The second wall presents a peripheral edge at least one portion of which is in leaktight engagement with the inner surface as it rotates about the axis. In addition, the second wall can delineate at least one outlet aperture to enable the product to be dispensed in response to the reduced angular difference. Preferably, the direction of the flow of the product being disposed is different from that of the axis of rotation.
