Magnetic Patents (Class 223/109A)
  • Patent number: 5367278
Abstract: A magnet holding structure comprising a magnet holder for holding a permanent magnet and a mounting frame formed integrally with a container such as a plastic basket for holding the magnet holder, the mounting frame including at least one pair of projecting walls having an engaging pawl on each of opposed inner surfaces thereof and the magnet holder having engaging projections corresponding to the engaging pawls, the interval of the engaging projections being slightly larger than the interval of the engaging pawls.

  • Patent number: 4838426
Abstract: A needle case for needlecraft work has a magnet on one side to allow the case to be held on the magnet board. The magnet holds the case for mounting but does not hold the needles within the case. A needle threader has a flat threader that can be inserted through the eye of a needle until an eye of the threader extends through the needle. A shoulder on the needle threader stops the needle, and a notch in the threader communicates with the eye of the threader for ease in passing yarn into the eye of the threader. The needle threader is made of a ferromagnetic material, and may be held on the magnet of the needle case. Further, the needle threader can be held on the magnet of the needle case, and remain there when the needle case is carried by a magnet board.

  • Patent number: 4664302
Abstract: A threaded needle holder for needle craft projects is disclosed. The needle holder is made up of a rectangular card with a magnet parallel to one long edge of the card. A plurality of slits spaced along the long edge act to receive thread carried by needles received on the magnet. The needle will extend across the magnet to a line on the opposite side, the line receiving the number or the like for the color thread in the needle. The name of the project being worked on can also be placed on the card. Optionally, magnets can be fixed to the rear of the card to allow the needle holder to be mounted on a magnet board.

  • Patent number: 3982631
Abstract: A dispenser container wherein magnetizable needles, tools, or the like, are mounted upon a magnet element secured pivotally to the interior of the container by means of a fabric hinge. The pivoting motion of the magnetic bar is produced by the alternating forward and retracting movements of the cover or closure element for the container whereby the needles move into a substantially horizontal position when the container is closed. When the cover is retracted, the pivoting motion of the magnet induced by gravity causes the needles to move pivotally whereby the freely extending forward portions thereof extend externally of the container to facilitate individual selection.
