  • Patent number: 4988022
Abstract: A card stock blank is convertible into a garment hanger shoulder guard which is storable in flat condition with no remaining assembly operations. The blank has base and top edges, a first fold line perpendicular to and extending from the base edge along a transverse line to a hole, and a second fold line extending from the top edge to the hole and making an obtuse angle with the top edge. The top edge is interrupted by a notch which communicates with the hole and has a first edge extending from the top edge to the hole and being a mirror image of the second fold line. The notch further has a second edge confronting the first edge. The blank is foldable into a flat condition with the first edge coinciding with the second fold line and material adjacent the first edge confronting material located between the second fold line and the second edge. The guard is made by affixing the confronting material to itself as by cement.

  • Patent number: 4658997
Abstract: An improved display hanger cover supportable by a clothes hanger to convert the hanger to function as a display hanger for supporting a garment, comprising an elongated body portion having a hollow interior, substantially curvilinearly shaped front and rear walls, and substantially curvilinearly shaped first and second shoulder portions disposable over the side arms of the clothes hanger. A neck portion is supported at the confluence of the first and second shoulder portions with the front and rear walls, and the neck portion has a substantially planar upper surface through which is provided a hook passage slot communicating with the hollow interior. First and second slot portions of the hook passage slot are shaped to respectively pass and selectively retain the hanger neck portion of the clothes hanger, thus permitting angular adjustment of the clothes hanger within the hollow body portion when the display cover hanger is disposed over the clothes hanger.

  • Patent number: 4632287
Abstract: A shoulder-supporting member defining an accessory for a wire garment hanger having a pair of inclined side segments extending downwardly and outwardly from a hook segment. In use, a pair of shoulder-supporting members are removably mounted on the garment hanger, there being a member for each inclined side segment, respectively. Each member has a hole at one end for removably receiving the hook segment of the garment hanger. Each member has a convex outer surface extending substantially along the length of the member. At the outer end of each member, a spherical end part has a pair of spaced, flat elements defining a slot for receiving the outer end of the corresponding inclined side segment to stabilize the member on the garment hanger. A pair of longitudinally spaced projections are integral with the inner surface of each member for frictionally engaging opposite side portions of the respective inclined side segment of the garment hanger.

  • Patent number: 4282911
Abstract: A combined hanger and bag. The hanger is substantially triangular and comprises congruent parallel frame members with snap extensions on one member and corresponding openings on the other member so that the two members may be snapped together. A hook is provided for suspending the hanger by one of the frame members. A bag having a corresponding triangular opening is provided with reinforcements having bag openings which may be engaged by the extensions of the frame member which carries the snap extensions. The reinforcing members are also provided with longitudinal beads which are received in recesses located inwardly of the extension. The lower run of the hanger receives a reinforcement that extends directly upwardly from the bag. The other two reinforcements are folded over the outside of the frame which carries the snap extensions so that the openings engage the snap extensions and the longitudinal reinforcement bead engages the recess inwardly of the snap extensions.
