Abstract: The bottle-connector connects a bottle to an individual, back-pack or clothing. The bottle is of the type having a neck in which an annular groove or ridge is formed. The connector has a resilient O-ring having an opening in which the neck is received. A collar is provided for adjusting the opening to an effective size such that the O-ring is snugly accommodated in the groove where the bottle has a groove or to an effective size smaller than the outer diameter of said ridge where the bottle has a ridge such that the O-ring is securely connected to the bottle. The connector also has a rigid ring connected to the O-ring and a strap or clip for connecting the rigid ring to the individual or to his back-pack or clothing.

  • Patent number: 6283344
Abstract: A hands-free personal hydration delivery system has a tubing assembly that has one end that detachably connects to a feed tube for a container of fluid worn on the back or torso of a user. The other end of the tubing assembly is coupled to a bite valve which is opened when manipulated by the user's mouth to allow fluid to be drawn by suction applied by the user, and is closed when not being manipulated so as to cut off fluid flow in an air-tight condition. An intermediate portion of the tubing assembly is mounted on the user's head or to the user's headgear at a position of higher elevation than the user's mouth. This allows fluid to be drawn to the elevated position and flow downward from there to the user's mouth by gravity feed. The fluid flow can then continue with little suction effort due to the gravity feed and siphoning effect of fluid from the container.

  • Patent number: 6276579
Abstract: A soft-sided container assembly is provided that includes a beverage container liner and an insulating cover for generally maintaining the temperature of the container contents during transport and/or short term storage. The container assembly is adapted to facilitate access to and/or removal of the container liner from the insulating cover. Thus, the top panel of the insulating cover is provided as a cover flap structure having a container overlying portion and a flap attachment portion that is detachably secured may be attached to the side wall. Because the top panel overlies substantially the entire exposed top wall of the container liner, detaching the top panel substantially fully opens the cover for removal of liner. In addition or in the alternative, one or more grip structures are provided adjacent the bottom of the insulating cover, for being manually grasped, to provide suitable resistance whereby the liner can be removed from the cover.

  • Patent number: 6237820
Abstract: A generally rectangular sheet which has a plurality of holes arranged in vertical and horizontal rows is secured into any of a variety of different sized sleeves. This may be accomplished by the use of a lace or strand being woven through overlying holes, by the use of two-piece rivets, or by the use of nubs extending from a first surface adjacent one edge of the sheet being received in holes adjacent the opposite edge. A bottom for the sleeve can be formed by interweaving the strand or by a separate bottom member that is attached by two-piece rivets or arms. These arms may be received in a horizontal row of holes directly or nubs on the arms may extend into the holes. The attachment nubs can be shaped to be received in complimentarily shaped holes in the sheet and may involve a sliding into a recess sized to receive a head portion of a button. An extending tab can be used to secure the personal carrier to a belt or shoulder strap to secure it to a portion of the body of the user.
