Abstract: A strap includes a base having a plate shape and detachably attached to a terminal rear surface of a portable terminal, a rotary plate attached to a base front surface of the base so as to be rotatable around a rotation axis perpendicular to the base front surface, an annular holding portion fixed to a rotary plate front surface of the rotary plate and into which a palm portion is inserted from a finger, and an adjuster portion having a foldable portion and fixed to the base rear surface of the base. The foldable portion varies a distance perpendicular to the base rear surface from the base rear surface of the base.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a body, electronic components contained in the body, and two finger members. The two finger members movable relative to the body between an extended state and a collapsed state. In the extended state, the two finger members extend outward from the body for receipt by a mount of an external support. In the collapsed state, the two finger members are collapsed toward the body. In the extended state, the two finger members may extend parallel with each other for receipt in parallel slots of the mount of the external support.

Abstract: Systems and methods are involved for a tablet computing assembly, the system includes (I) a tablet case assembly including a case rear side and a first front surface portion that receives the tablet computing assembly; (II) a track pin adjustably coupled to the case rear side; and (III) a hand strap coupled to the at least one track pin, (A) the hand strap being adjustably coupled to the case rear side via the track pin, (B) the hand strap being adjustably coupled to the case rear side to allow for at least one positional adjustment of the hand strap relative to the first rear surface portion, and (C) the hand strap being removably coupled to the case rear side of the tablet case assembly without disassembly of the tablet case assembly. Abstract: An apparatus for a gripping device for a portable computing device according to various aspects of the present technology may include a selectively deployable gripping element. A center section of the gripping element may be connected to the portable computing device by a gripping element retainer. The gripping element comprises opposing ends that extend away from the center section in a first position and curl inwards towards the center section and the gripping element retainer in a second position to form a ring. The opposing ends may comprise a locking mechanism configured to retain the opposing ends in the second position. The gripping element and the gripping element retainer may also be integrated with a cover or case configured to fit around the portable computing device.

Abstract: Wearable assistive jamming apparatus and related methods are disclosed herein. An example apparatus includes a frame to be worn about a body part of a user and a jamming actuator carried by the frame. The example apparatus includes an electrode to deliver electricity from an electrical source communicatively coupled to the electrode to a muscle of the user. In the example apparatus, the jamming actuator is to transition from a flexible state to a substantially rigid state in coordination with the delivery of the electricity to the electrode to support the body part.

Abstract: A mobile device includes a camera unit, a location unit, a transmitting unit, a self-defense mechanism, and a panic button. The camera unit location unit obtains at least one of image data and audio data, and the location unit obtains location data. The transmitting unit transmits at least one of the image data, the audio data, the location data, and specific information including owner identification information. The panic button is adapted to activate the camera, the location unit, the transmitting unit, and the self-defense mechanism.

Abstract: Techniques for fabric lamination to a component are described. According to various implementations, a single piece of fabric is laminated to a moveable component and to an apparatus to which the moveable component is attached. Generally, lamination of fabric to a moveable component and portions of an associated apparatus can enhance a user experience in a variety of ways. Embodiments may also be employed to cut fabric from around a surface component of an apparatus.

Abstract: Cases for portable electronic devices are described including multiple alignment elements (e.g. slugs, magnets or physical securing means) embedded in a panel, such as the back panel of the case. Various accessories, such as stands, cord spools, mounts, communication devices, speakers, displays, etc., may also have multiple corresponding alignment elements (e.g. magnets, slugs or cooperative physical securing means) in them that allow the accessories to be semi-securely attached to the case in a plurality of specific positions and/or orientations.

Abstract: A camera mount for coupling a camera to a user's wrist is described. The camera mount includes a swivel component that rotates relative to a wrist component when an above-threshold amount of force is applied on the swivel component. A rippled spring component is coupled between the swivel component and the wrist component, and exerts an outward force upon the swivel component in response to a compressive force exerted on the rippled spring component by the swivel component. A strap couples to each of two sides of the wrist mount component, and is configured to secure the camera mount to the user's wrist. The camera mount can additionally include a base component and a padding component, and a screw to couple each camera mount component together.

Abstract: A shopping bag dispenser has a fabric storage and dispensing bag with an open end having an area of opening, and a length, and a plurality of shopping bags having common dimensions, each formed from a material having a low coefficient of friction, and capable of sustaining permanent fold creases. Each shopping bag of the plurality is implemented with permanent fold creases, folded along the creases and stacked with others of the plurality, to a folded and stacked size having a length less than the length of the storage bag and a cross-sectional area orthogonal to the length less than the area of the opening of the fabric storage and dispensing bag.

Abstract: A stretchable strap cover for a handheld electronic device has a flexible and elastic pad with four apertures formed in the pad and extending through the thickness of the pad, and four straps defined between the four apertures and the perimeter of the pad. The pad has at least two configurations, including: 1) an initial configuration in which the pad is separate from the handheld electronic device, an in which the pad is unstretched with an initial unstretched perimeter, length and width, and in which the pad is flat and disposed in a flat layer having a thickness the same as the thickness of the pad, with the straps and the apertures disposed in the flat layer; and 2) an installed configuration in which the pad is coupled to the handheld electronic device, the pad being stretched and under tension, and the straps being disposed out of the flat layer.

The case securely holds a protective electronic device while allowing access to all necessary features of the device. The strap securely couples a user's hand or other personal effects to the device. The detachable clip of the strap allows the strap system to loop around and be secured onto an object. The case may have an insert that can be used as a kickstand or a protective cover of a card held into place by the strap.

Abstract: A kit for a securement device to make it much easier for a user to securely hold onto a personal, hand-held, tablet-shaped device such as an electronic reader, a tablet computing device, a cellular phone, a personal data assistant, and a common clipboard, including any of these items that are at least partially contained in protective housings—while minimizing the fatigue and discomfort on the user's hands: A typical device solves this problem by providing a system of one or more finger holds formed with a fabric or pliable material that are disposed on the back side of the personal, hand-held, tablet-shaped device. In many devices, the position and fit of the finger holds are easily adjustable by a user via hook-and-loop schemes.

The glove construction comprises a flexible, load-bearing, strap-like material member having a glove length and a glove width. A series of finger-receiving sleeves extend widthwise intermediate the glove length. The ends of the material member are outfitted with a first set of fasteners matable with a second set of fasteners outfitted upon the electronic device. The first and second sets of fasteners are matable and together form a fastener interface for removably attaching the glove construction to the electronic device. The glove construction and the fastener interface are supportable of the device weight, and thus enable the user to manually carry the electronic device via the glove construction by inserting a series of fingers into the finger-receiving sleeves and lifting the combination therewith.

Abstract: The invention attaches a hand strap to a tablet to secure the tablet to the user's hand and act as an aide to prevent a tablet from being dropped. The invention allows the user to rotate the tablet to various viewing angles while still maintaining the secure connection to the tablet. The connection point provides a single yet strong connection between the hand strap and device grip for the two to rotate around each other.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to conveniently carry a mobile device, among others, on a hand brace. The systems include a case to enclose the mobile device and a system to wear the apparatus on a hand. The systems comprise of a case; a case tether coupled to the case; a hand brace shaft coupled to a hand brace and a case lock to secure the case in a closed position. Also presented, a method to carry and use the device while tethered to a hand.

Abstract: A protective handheld electronics case with integrated extension device, which may safely and securely extend an encased personal electronics device via a telescoping rod assembly. The telescoping rod assembly extends the personal electronics device beyond arms reach and locks the device at a specific recording angle set by the user. This function is specifically helpful when the camera is oriented on the user for self portraits. This function allows the user to ability to take self portraits or video without the undesirable need to fully extend the user's arms. Therefore, in general, a user is enabled to take self portraits with a greater field of view.

The body includes an opening and a first positioning portion positioned on a first surface of the body. The positioning member includes a second positioning portion and a top portion connected thereto. The second positioning portion detachably engages with the first positioning portion. The top portion protrudes from a second surface of the body through the opening, the second surface being opposite the first surface. When the top portion is pressed, the second positioning portion is separated from the first positioning portion, and a relative position between the body and the positioning member may be adjusted, thereby adjusting the length of the belt.

Abstract: An article carrier may include a handle, a collapsible article holder with a pop-down base, and one or more support columns vertically connecting the handle to the base of the collapsible article holder. The collapsible article holder may have a number of openings for accepting articles. Material cut from the carrier to form the openings may form the support columns. Moreover, tabs that are connected to the material from the openings may also be cut from the carrier so as to provide a surface for gluing or otherwise affixing the support columns to the base. For openings on the extreme ends of the article holder, material cut from the carrier to form the openings may be folded towards the ends of the article holder so as to form end flaps. The end flaps facilitate preventing accidental reading of UPC barcodes or other indicia on the articles carried in the article holder.

The gripper comprises a retainer to partially pass through the case opening, and the retainer defines two opposing slots. There is a retractable strap having two flanged ends. Each strap flanged end is passed through the retainer slots to communicate with the case inside. The strap flange is shaped to prevent the strap from completely passing through said retainer slots to the case outside when the strap is pulled. The gripper facilitates carrying a portable electronic device using a single finger, or an open hand, depending on the size of the device.
