Abstract: Disclosed is a dynamic non-piercing tactile and manipulable suspension system for suspending target items such as fruit including but not limited to bananas both in hands and individually. An integration housing comprises one or more suspension strands coupled to the integration housing on one end and one or more suspension contacts on the other end, the suspension strand and coupled suspension contact being capable of suspending (without piercing) a hand of bananas and/or a single banana.

Abstract: A device configured to secure a load to a supporting structure and a method of using the device to secure the load to the supporting structure are provided. The device includes a strap fixed onto itself so as to form a first loop and a pair of free ends. An attachment member includes a body with a pair of support arms disposed on opposite ends of the body. Each of the pair of free ends of the strap are attached to a corresponding support arm, laterally spacing the free ends from each other, giving the device a generally figure 8 dimension. The strap is wrapped around the load and the attachment member is pulled through the first loop and the strap is cinched by pulling on the attachment member. The attachment member is then secured to the supporting structure.

Abstract: A power tool is provided with a housing and a tethering attachment assembly attached to the housing and adapted to facilitate connection of a lanyard to the power tool. The tethering attachment assembly includes a substantially U-shaped hook portion including a coil element comprising metallic material that substantially resiliently retains its state with application of force up to a limit, and is permanently plastically deformable upon application of force exceeding the limit, and two extended portions extending from ends of the coil element and attached to the housing.

Abstract: A safety device for a crossbow includes a wrist strap with a crank aperture in a palm portion thereof, and is secured around a user's wrist with the crank aperture over the palm of the user's hand. The crank aperture allows passage therethrough of a shaft of a crossbow crank, but prevents passage of a handle; wearing the wrist strap, the user can grasp the handle with the shaft extending through the crank aperture away from the palm of the user's hand. The wrist strap can be divided at its dorsal-wrist portion and include a closure to allow the wrist strap to be secured around or removed from the user's wrist as desired. Restraint of the crank handle by the crank aperture prevents uncontrolled spinning of the crossbow crank.

Abstract: An exemplary strap for a portable device includes a hollow ring portion, two elastic members, two connecting strings, two blocks, and a strap attachment coupled to the connecting strings. The ring portion includes at least one restraint with a through hole defined therein. The elastic members are fixed within the ring portion. The connecting strings are coupled to the elastic members respectively, pass through the through hole and stretch out of the ring portion. The blocks are positioned respectively at joints of the elastic members and the connecting strings, and restrained within the ring portion by the at least one restraint for preventing the elastic members from being excessively stretched.

Abstract: A wrist tether generally in the form of an “I” shape, includes a first strap portion, a second strap portion, and a connecting tether portion. In use, ends of the first strap portion are brought around and fastened together to form a loop to secure the wrist tether to an infant's wrist. Ends of the second strap portion are brought around and fastened together to form a loop to secure an object, such as a toy or a pacifier, to the other end of the wrist tether. When the object is tethered to the infant's wrist, the object is retained within the grasp of the infant at all times and prevented from falling to the floor when dropped by the infant. The length of the tether portion may be adjustable.

Abstract: A wearable book. A wearable book, comprising a plurality of pages and a loop adapted for encircling a body portion for attaching said pages to the body, is provided. The pages are preferably bound together at one edge and preferably are of substantially the same size. The loop preferably has at least about 50% elasticity for stretching the loop over a second body portion such as a hand having a substantially larger circumference than a first body portion such as a wrist, and thereafter snugly circumferentially contacting the first body portion to secure the book in place.

Abstract: A device for packaging at least one disc-shaped item together with other materials comprising a pair of complementary container elements attached by means of an interlocking mechanism such as a hinge, such that said complementary container elements are in a mating top and bottom configuration. The container has an open position in which the complementary container elements are separated, and a closed position in which the complementary container elements engaged each other and cooperate to form a cavity therebetween. The container elements include means for retaining the container in a closed position such that the chamber formed thereby is relatively insulated. A sealing member may also be provided to cover said opening, which sealing member must be removed to provide access to the opening. Abstract: An article security system for effectively preventing the loss and theft of personal articles during transport without impeding the user's mobility. The article security system includes an elongate strap having a first end and a second end, a locking member attached to a middle portion of the elongate strap, a third fastener attached to the first end connectable to a first fastener attached to the middle portion, a fourth fastener attached to the locking member connectable to a second fastener on the first end, and a fifth fastener attached to the second end and connectable to a sixth fastener attached to the middle portion. The first portion is engageable with the personal article in a looped manner and the second portion is engageable with the arm of an individual in a similar looped manner. The fasteners are preferably comprised of a hook and loop fastener material.

Abstract: The invention relates to a carrying system for carrying a portable item of equipment, said system comprising a cord forming a loop, and a member placed on the loop and provided with first retaining means for retaining a portion of the loop. The system is in the form of a double loop when a portion of the cord in the loop is retained by the first retaining means. It is thus possible to reduce the aperture of the loop so as to make it about four times smaller. The loop of the carrying system can thus selectively be placed around the neck or around the wrist of a user. The carrying system of the invention may serve to carry a portable item of equipment such as a mobile telephone, an electronic diary, or an organizer.

Abstract: A carrier device for a power-driven work tool, such as a clearing saw or the like, having at least one shoulder strap (10) and/or a waist belt (14). The work tool is suspended from the carrier device by a supporting rope (18). The supporting rope has ends that are connected to the carrier device. In order to facilitate the use of the tool on sloping or hilly work surfaces, a hip pad (17) is slidably secured to the supporting rope and the work tool is suspended from the hip pad. The hip pad and work tool are thus slidably movable along the supporting rope (18) so as to enable the work tool to be positioned in a desired working position.

Abstract: A cane with an arm cuff C-clamp and a lateral handle has an accessory article carrying sack comprising a cloth or other material drawstring sack attached to the C clamp with a loop of the drawstring. Clips attach the sack to the leg of the cane to hold the open bag top closed and to keep the sack from moving about as the person using the accessory walks. Various embodiments of clips and fasteners are disclosed for attaching the sack to the cane leg and for precluding lateral displacement of the sack during walking of the user.

Abstract: A weight training wrist strap apparatus for use by one with limited or essentially no handgrip strength is provided, the invention comprising a first strap for wrapping around a human wrist which includes a depending strap portion having an attachment clip for connection to weight training equipment. If desired, a second strap is provided for wrapping around the first strap for added stabilization of the first strap when using increased weight resistance. In this manner, all of the weight training force is transferred to the wrist of the user with the result that no gripping of the equipment by the hand of the user is necessary. The second strap may include a thumb loop for anchoring the strap for ease of wrapping the second strap to complete the apparatus-wrapping maneuver. Implementation and use of the apparatus provides for a complete upper body workout wherein increasingly heavier weight resistance without the requirement of gripping strength.

Abstract: A cord is formed into a loop with a metal clip, and is knotted about a rigid ear which protrudes from the body of a conventional whistle. A plastic tube is slipped over the knotted lanyard at the whistle ear and heat-shrunk in place, to cause the whistle to protrude from the lanyard on a generally rigid stem. When the lanyard is slipped onto the glove of the wearer, the protruding stem causes the whistle to extend outwardly from the glove and hence presents the mouthpiece of the whistle for ready grasping by the wearer's lips for rapid actuation of the whistle. Alternatively, the whistle is engaged to a hook-and-loop fastener flexible strap by a rigid clip, which extends through a fold in the strap. The connection between the clip and the fastener limits side to side twisting of the whistle, allowing ready blowing by the wearer.

Abstract: A device for assisting an infant with gripping a toy is disclosed. In the preferred embodiment, the device comprises a first toy-loop, for engaging a first portion of a toy, a second toy-loop, for engaging a second portion of a toy, a hand-strap, for connecting the first and second toy loops, a wrist-band, and a connecting strip, for connecting the wrist-band to the hand-strap. When properly placed on an infant, the wrist-band and hand-strap keep the toy positioned near the infant's hand in case the infant releases his/her grip on the toy so that the toy can be readily gripped again. Furthermore, the infant's hand is disposed between the toy and the hand-strap, thereby positioning the toy near the infant's palm for easy gripping by the infant.

Abstract: A medication attachment device and method are disclosed for attaching medication in close proximity to a body. The device includes a container for holding medication and an attachment mechanism coupled to the container. The attachment mechanism is operable to attach the container to personal apparel, such as clothing, accessories or jewelry. In one embodiment, the attachment mechanism is a flexible body that can be wrapped around the personal apparel. In another embodiment, the attachment mechanism is a clamp formed by a hinge portion that can be clamped to the personal apparel.

Abstract: A scissor retaining apparatus for retaining a pair of scissors in the event the scissors are dropped by the user to prevent damage to the scissors and to prevent injury to persons standing or sitting nearby. Additional features include a detachable scissor sheath that provides increased safety for those in proximity to the scissors and additional protection for the scissors.

Abstract: A sweatband adapted to be worn upon the wrist of a user during exercise activity is fabricated as a tubular elasticized band of water absorbent material having an external compliant pocket. A border of attachment substrate is disposed about the perimeter of the pocket. First and second sets of markers are releasibly attached to the attachment substrate in a manner which can record the progress or status of the exercise activity.

The device is particularly useful, especially for supporting an emergency regulator (2), known as an octopus rig. Other patented designs of guitar pick holders are wholly different from mine, in that no designs besides mine hold a guitar pick in a readily available position. My pick holder consists of a wrist band (cloth, leather, or the like), onto which is fastened a tube, which extends to over the hand, and ends a little above the thumb and index finger, slightly in back of the tip of the thumb. The tube is hollow, and inside is an elastic cord which is fastened at the wrist end of the tube. At the fingers end, the cord is attached either to the pick, or to a clasp which is used to hold the pick.

Abstract: A lightweight, flexible device for holding shower articles such as shampoo, soap, or lotion comprising a loop for suspending the device from a shower head, a plurality of ropes connected to the loop, and hooks for holding the shower articles to the ends of the ropes opposite the suspending loop. Preferably, the loop is formed of rubber or plastic which will grip the neck pipe of a shower head. The device may be used at home or packs easily for travelling.

Abstract: A reusable carrying sleeve for a recyclable, single use camera is constructed of resilient foam and includes a peripheral wall section for surrounding a camera housing and a front panel joined to a forward part of the peripheral wall for forming a semi-enclosure around a camera inserted into the sleeve. The front panel has apertures and cut-outs sized and aligned to permit normal functioning of the camera lens, viewfinder, flash, and film winder. A carrying strap is affixed to the peripheral wall for toting around the sleeve and the retained camera. The peripheral wall includes an interior perimetal surface designed with a size and shape to frictionally grip the camera, while the exterior surface of the sleeve can appear plain or have virtually any decorative indicia, making the sleeve particularly attractive to variously aged photographers.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a forearm support strap for supporting various types of portable electronic equipment or instruments. The forearm support strap includes three exposed pile areas which will receive various types of equipment that has been provided with a mating Velcro loop strip on its base. A plurality of quick-release buckles are included to provide secure attachment to the user's forearm. A battery compartment is also included to provide electrical current to the attached instrument. Significant advantages of the forearm support strap include its ease of attachment, comfortable anti-rotation features and its availability to right-handed as well as left-handed users. Through the use of the forearm strap the user has both hands free to perform other tasks.

Abstract: A coin holder made of plastic, or another suitably flexible material, having a flexible base, a flexible wall extending at a right angle from the base, a T-shaped tab extending outwardly from the base, and one or more tab-receiving slots in the base. The base and wall form a recess into which a coin may be fitted. The slots accept the T-shaped tab of another coin holder at an angle, and lock the coin holders together when the angle is reduced. In addition, the invention includes a flexible band into which coin holders may be attached for holding and display by being anchored parallel to the flexible band, or hanging freely from the flexible band.

Abstract: A tool wrist strap having a band, a looped cord and a clench bead on the cord. The band is made of a flexible elastic fabric material and formed by an elongated strip having opposite ends attached together. The band is preferably adapted to fit loosely about a person's wrist. The looped cord is composed of flexible inelastic material and has a looped end portion and a pair of opposite ends attached to the band adjacent to one another. The clench bead is slidable on the looped cord and produces sufficient friction therewith to hold the bead in any given position along the cord. The bead can be slidably moved by a person's hand in opposing directions away from and toward the looped end portion of the cord for respectively untightening and tightening the looped end portion in a noose-like configuration about a portion of a tool.

Abstract: A long colored ribbon streamer is bundled preferably in zig-zag fashion in and transversely of the length of an envelope adapted to be releasibly fastened to an upper surface of a ski when skiing in deep powder snow. An end of the streamer is adapted to be fastened to the ski when skiing in the deep powder, while the envelope itself is adapted to be fastened to the skier usually through his or her ski boot. A fall in the snow that releases the ski boot and skier from the ski will cause the streamer to trail the ski at the surface of the snow that covers the ski, thereby revealing the ski's location to the skier.

Abstract: A slip knot wrist strap attachment for an item of equipment, such as a sport racquet, is fabricated from a single piece of tubular braid. One end of the braid is inserted through the core of the tubular braid from an insertion point thereof and fed through the inside of the tube to the other end of the tube to form an inner tube, an outer tube and a holding loop. The ends of the inner tube and outer tube are inserted through the formed holding loop and the outer tube is slid over the inner tube to close the holding loop, thereby forming a sliding loop from the insertion point. The sliding loop may fit around the wrist of the equipment user and the remote end may be tied to the item of equipment during use of the equipment.

Abstract: A multi-looped cane retaining strap arranged to be releasably connected to a cane user's wrist and a cane, includes a wrist portion and a flexible cord attached to one another by a swivel device. The wrist portion includes a molded body with a transverse slot formed at one end and a soft flexible strip of material attached at the other end. The flexible material is inserted through the transverse slot and fastened by a loop-and-pile fastener to the user's wrist. The flexible cord is adjustable in length and size of the loop for retaining the cane. The multi-looped cane retaining strap provides for the cane to be in close proximity to the user in order to alleviate the inconveniences associated with cane use.

Abstract: A device for securing articles such as baby bottles or the like to the wrist of an infant includes a first length of tubing having at least one end removably secured to a "T" for forming a loop around an infant's wrist. A coupling is provided for joining the wirst loop to a second loop of material secured around an article such as a baby bottle whereby the article will not drop to the ground even if the infant releases its grip upon it.

Abstract: A spring-biased expansion band of metal bar members, attaches to a clasp member at one end and to a linear array of separately removeable and replaceable links at the other end to complete the bracelet. Each link has a pivot bar at one end and a complementary shaped aperture at the other end which engages the pivot bar upon an adjacent link. Size adjustment is obtained by user insertion or removal of one or more links from the band. The band and clasp member are electrically conductive at the bracelet's interior circumference, but electrically insulating at the bracelet's exterior circumference. A grounding cord connects to the conductive surface through a swivel and snap electrical connector at the clasp member.

Abstract: A ski boot carrier comprises a double loop structure defined by a cord forming a first loop for looping through the buckles of a pair of adjacent ski boots, and a strap forming a second loop for looping over the arm of a skier for carrying the boots, leaving the hand of the arm free to grasp or carry other articles and the like.

Abstract: An apparatus for removably yet stably retaining and attractively suspending an article used for playing a musical instrument is disclosed. The apparatus, which can double as a jewelry system, includes a spring-loaded clip having two opposing arms, one of which includes a stabilizing projection. The clip removably retains a pick and a pick sleeve encasing the pick. Both the pick and pick sleeve have slots through their planar surfaces which receive the stabilizing projection of the clip arm when the encased pick is retained by the clip. The apparatus also includes a flexible loop element connected to the clip which loops upon itself and allow the clip and encased pick to be suspended from any structure encircled by the looped element.

Abstract: A releasable strap system and, more particularly, to the combination of a hand strap and a device strap for an item. The hand strap is removably connectable around the wrist of a hand and between two of the five fingers of the hand leaving the hand free for normal use. Abstract: A band worn on the user's arm or wrist has a short strap which carries a small item for occasional use such as a key. The strap has a captive end which is connected to the band, and a free end which retains the small item. The strap extends from the band in an access position, and is sufficiently long to permit the user to manipulate the small item using the thumb and forefingers on the same arm with the band. The band and the free end of the strap have selectively positioned loop-and-pile fasteners thereon for releaseably securing the strap around the band in a concentric storage position. The small item retained at the free end of the strap is stored between the strap and the band in the concentric storage position. For use, the user pulls the strap away from the band with his opposite hand releasing the band and the small item from the storage position into the access position.

Abstract: A wrist band is attached to the handle of a tennis racket for use in securing the tennis racket to the wrist of a player. The wrist band can be attached to the handle of an existing tennis racket without requiring removal of the grip. The wrist band includes a flexible strap having a pair of ends fixed together by a sleeve secured over the adjacent ends of the strap for forming a fixed loop of the wrist band. The sleeve has a generally rounded outer surface and a rim that projects outwardly from the rounded surface of the sleeve. A base plate loosely fitted around the outer surface of the sleeve protrudes outwardly away from the rim on the sleeve and is retained around the sleeve by engagement with the rim. The sleeve and the base plate can be inserted in a hole drilled in the end of the racket handle, with the base plate bearing against the end of the handle and bridging the hole to retain the strap in the end of the handle.
