  • Patent number: 6478204
Abstract: Known covers, for example for receptacles in automobiles, have drawbacks in that they require several components in addition to the depositing receptacle and/or require additional reception space clearly exceeding the dimensions of the deposition receptacle for opening, and/or cannot be installed if only limited installation space is available in the depth or width direction, and/or the cover does not present sufficient sturdiness during use. The cover (2) of the invention is to eliminate these drawbacks as a whole and moreover be characterized by low costs per unit, low components weight and an appealing exterior.

  • Patent number: 6328191
Abstract: A storage assembly for a vehicle including an outer panel having a lower portion and an upper portion, and a closure device. The lower portion of the outer panel is attachable to an inner panel to define a storage pocket. The upper portion is deflectable from the inner panel to define an aperture of the storage pocket. The closure device has an arcuate shape and a convex side. The closure device is fastened to the upper portion of the outer panel with the convex side facing the inner panel such that the closure device urges the upper portion against the inner panel. This force by the closure device helps define the closed position as the “normal” or “relaxed” position of the storage assembly. The force of the closure device can be overcome by a user of the storage assembly to move the outer panel into an open position, which would allow insertion or removal of objects from the storage pocket.

Each holder has an arm with a ring for supporting the side of the container. The arms are linked to the tray so as to be able to rotate horizontally. Each ring has an overlapping part that vertically overlaps with the other ring when the arms approach each other, and a non-overlapping part that does not overlap when the arms approach each other. The vertical-direction width of the overlapping parts is smaller than the width of the non-overlappng parts, thereby reducing the vertical-direction width of the case, making the holder suitable for installation in a conveyance having only limited usable space.

  • Patent number: 6170723
Abstract: A double opening lid for use in a truck storage box. A first lid opens along a longitudinal dimension of a truck storage box to give full access to the entire interior of the truck storage box. Additionally, two side lids mount along a line perpendicular to the longitudinal dimension of the truck storage box lid open upwardly and inwardly for easy access from the side of the truck in which the truck storage box is mounted. The two side lids will ordinarily be mounted somewhat above the plane of the first lid to provide for run off of rain or other materials. Ordinarily, a frame is employed to provide better rigidity and durability for the lid. Thus, the double opening lid opens longitudinally to give access to the entire truck storage box, and conveniently opens from either side to give easy access from the side of the truck on which the truck storage box equipped with this double opening lid is mounted.
