Abstract: A novel backpack frame and backpack are described where the frame has a common point from which a pair of upper vertical support members ascend and a pair of lower vertical support members descend. The lower vertical support members are mirror images of each other and one lower vertical support member has a twist in a first direction to form a latitudinal concavity relative to the back side of the backpack and another lower vertical support member has another twist in a second direction to form another longitudinal concavity relative to the backpack back side, where the second direction is opposite to the first direction.

Abstract: A modular tool bag system may have organizers each having a planar body that is foldable to form an inner volume between two halves. The organizers may be opened or closed, with a zipper, and configured to lay flat on a supporting surface, with no resistance, when open. A number of pouches, with a variety of transparent pockets for containing tools, may be attached to the inner surface of each organizer by hook and loop fasteners. Multiple organizers may be inserted, parallel to each other, into a tool bag, such that the spines of the organizers remain visible through the tool bag opening when the tool bag is open. The spines of the organizers may have labels for identification. A user may pull an organizer from the bag, open and lay it flat on a surface, and detach a pouch to use specific tools.

Abstract: A device for carrying a surfboard, similar sporting equipment or other objects. One embodiment is comprised of webbing material with fixed loop having a loop buckle that slides along the fixed loop and a strap element that in combination with the loop buckle creates a secondary adjustable loop. The secondary adjustable loop is used to hold a surfboard or other object securely in place and the fixed loop supports the surfboard from one of the user's shoulder allowing hands free operation. When not utilized as a carrier the device can be worn, such as a belt. The user keeps the fixed loop compressed together, wraps the carrier around his/her waist, through the loop buckle and then attaches it back onto itself. A personal flotation device can be attached to the strap element so that the carrier and personal flotation device form a single unit.

Abstract: The disclosure includes embodiments of an improved catheter bag comprising a bag portion, a top tab portion and a bottom tab portion with a one way entry valve extending through said top tab portion to permit fluid to enter the bag portion. A draining valve is provided in the bottom tab portion operable from an open to a closed position. The catheter bag is provided with pairs of parallel vertical slots sized and shaped to retain straps for retaining the bag against the body.

A holder for holding an electronic device has a retaining member including a plurality of retaining tabs; and a harness member rotatably connected to the retaining member and rotatable between a stowed position and an inclined position. A holder for holding an electronic device has a harness having two parallel elongated bars; a frame having a base member and two parallel arms each having an opening therein; and a pivotable retaining member pivotably connected to the parallel arms. The retaining member releasably holds the electronic device. The elongated bars are slidably inserted into the openings of the arms.

Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a body-worn unitary harness having a shoulder portion and a waist portion in tensile communication with one another, such that both the shoulder and the waist portions can be simultaneously adjusted using a single adjustment mechanism to conform to a wearer's body. In an illustrative embodiment, a length of webbing may thread through an angle-turning buckle and change direction therein. Tensile forces in the length of webbing may be directed in different directions on either side of the angle-turning buckle. A single clasp may facilitate both donning and doffing of the unitary harness. An implement connector may be coupled to a hip member and configured to connect an implement to the unitary harness. Various exemplary unitary harnesses may provide comfortable implement carrying capacity while automatically adjusting relative waist and shoulder lengths to accommodate a user's movements and positions.

Abstract: A support sling is provided having a plastic body portion, which may optionally be covered with fabric, and two orthogonally positioned straps. The body portion has an adjustably sized cup for receiving the cam or point of a compound or recurved bow, respectively, the size of the cup being adjustable to accommodate differing sized cams. Slots in the vertically extending web portion of the body receive the straps. At least some of the slots have angled extensions which permit the straps to being reoriented relative to the body portion as the hunter shifts position or moves the bow holder to an alternate location.

Abstract: An apparatus for holding trash bags and facilitating trash pick up includes a bag holding base ring and interchangeable insert ring and opening ring which selectably attach to the base ring. The trash bag is secured between the opposing pairs of rings, which are each attachable to a waist belt worn by the user or can be carried individually by an attachable handle. The insert ring also includes a stripping membrane along a top surface to remove the refuse from a trash picker and retain it inside the bag.

Abstract: Novel method of preserving the internal environmental air temperature and thereby stabilizing the temperature within the cargo compartment of a transport container, and thereby protecting the cargo itself from degradation due to temperature fluxuations, including a freeze and heat barrier attained through the characteristics of the article of manufacture, composition of matter, and method of preservation of the internal environmental air temperature and proximate cargo within said cargo compartment; along with a machine or devise that is used as either a stand-alone container, or as an insert to retrofit existing containers so as to make said retrofitted devices capable of providing cooling over an extended period of time are disclosed. The inserted cargo compartments described herein are particularly useful for temperature-stabilizing cargo compartment shipping containers that are required to maintain a temperature below ambient for a time sufficient to complete delivery of the container and its contents.

Abstract: A carrier system for use with a body armor garment that distributes the shoulder loads produced by equipment carried or worn by military or law enforcement personnel, away from the user's shoulders and comfortably to the hips. Heavy shoulder loads, which typically cause chronic back pain and can lead to compression of the spine, are significantly mitigated. The carrier system has a vertical back support and a belt for securing the device around the waist of the user. In addition to alleviating shoulder fatigue and spine compression, the device is light, comfortable, durable, adjustable and easy to maintain.

Abstract: Provided herein is a portable insulated carrier for maintaining a syringe at an acceptable temperature for an extended period of time. The portable insulated carrier includes: a container having a front, a back, an open top, and defining an interior cavity; a closure for covering the open top of the container; at least one syringe holder in the interior cavity of the container, which is configured to receive and retain the syringe in an upright position; and an insulating member positioned in the insulating pocket, the insulating member being configured to prevent body heat of a user from being transferred to the syringe in the at least one syringe holder. The carrier is configured to maintain the syringe at a temperature of below 25 degrees Celsius for at least one hour.

Abstract: Systems and methods for supporting an electronic device include an electronic device storage chamber; a shoulder strap attached to a top end of the electronic device storage chamber; a chest strap attached to a surface of the electronic device storage chamber; a bottom arm hingeably attached to a bottom end of the electronic device storage chamber; a ball joint attached to the bottom arm; and an electronic device support arm having a first end attached to the ball joint. In one embodiment, a phone arm can be attached to a surface of the electronic device storage chamber to adjustably support the position of a phone so that a user can simultaneously use the phone and the electronic device such as a tablet in a hands-free manner.

Abstract: A device aid in the retention and transportation of small oxygen bottles worn by a user during use is herein disclosed, comprising a somewhat larger and cylindrical holster to hold a type “B” oxygen canister which is approximately twelve (12) inches long and three (3) inches in diameter. The device uses a formed shoulder strap available in two different models for specific right or left hand use. The formed radius of the strap forces the strap up onto the shoulder and makes the device conform securely to the user. A retention strap that goes under the opposite arm also aids in this retention. The device can be worn while sitting, walking, standing or performing most normal activities.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for supporting a personal electronic device are provided. The device incorporates a support frame structure comprised of three legs. A vertical leg is attached to a shoulder strap, while the horizontal legs are attached to a chest strap. A lower joint is located between the two horizontal legs and this lower joint is also attached to an electronic device support leg. The electronic device support leg is attached to the lower joint and also to a ball joint at the end opposite the lower joint. In use, the lower joint allows for the electronic device to be moved into a viewing position at a desired angle. The ball joint allows rotation of the device between portrait and landscape orientations. A case may also be attached to the electronic device support leg to contain the personal electronic device.

The system allows comfortable and discreet concealed carry of holstered weapons and associated materials, distributing load across one or both shoulders while allowing the entire system and supported weapon to remain concealed beneath clothing. The system can attach to a belt with j-hooks, and can attach directly to a wearer's clothing and/or to a holster.

Abstract: A hands free case for mobile personal computers provides a mobile worker a stable platform for laptops, Tablet PCs, Ultra Mobile PCs and accessories. One embodiment comprises a platform insert (22), fabric shell (24), shoulder harness (28), waist/torso harness(30) and an articulated flap (26). Shoulder harness (28) and waist/torso harness (30) is attached to fabric shell (24) via two or more rings and hooks allowing multiple configurations of straps and computer display orientations. Mobile personal computer is secured to platform insert (22) by impact-resistant cordage. When shoulder harness (28) and waist/torso harness (30) is placed around the body a mobile personal computer is carried without being held. The case can be positioned vertically along the body and tilted to improve viewing by adjusting the length of shoulder harness (28) and waist/torso harness (30). Abstract: The present interlocking bag and waist belt invention assists the user that must carry weight comfortably while being able to access the contents. The embodiment of the present invention teaches a soft bag, a waist belt, an optional detachable shoulder strap, and a connecting system that includes a rigid member or semi-rigid member interlocking between the waist belt and the bag through placement in looped pieces which are fixed alternatively on bag and waist belt. This invention will be of importance to walking delivery people, but the utilization will be more expansive. People young and old who are attracted by the informality of messenger bags but who want more comfort, may use the present interconnecting bag and waist belt invention for school, work, and travel.

A collar having a curved portion and two collar side supports is joined to a brace having a brace crossmember and two brace side supports by threaded extensions inserted through collar adjustment holes and brace adjustment holes in the collar side supports and brace side supports, respectively. Wing nuts releasably secure the threaded extensions in place. A crossmember joins the threaded extensions and has the bottom edge of a lyre attached to its middle. A fur collar sleeve encircles the curved portion of the collar, and a fur brace sleeve encircles the brace crossmember. The brace crossmember is sinuous, and except for the sleeves, the wearable music holder is fabricated from aluminum bar stock. The collar's curved portion rests around the wearer's neck, and the brace crossmember rests against the wearer's abdomen in use.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an adjustable sling for the carrying and transport of an infant, with features that impart improved safety, comfort and support for the infant. The adjustable sling has a sling body with an interior compartment for carrying the infant, and also has an adjustable shoulder strap that is extensible about a wearer's shoulder, with first and second opposing ends that are attached to the sling body. An adjustable lumbar belt is attached to the sling body and extensible about the wearer. In one embodiment, the sling has a retention flap that is attached to the sling body and retains the infant being carried by the sling to enhance the safety and security of the sling. In another embodiment, the sling has at least one support insert to support at least one of the infant's head and neck while the infant is carried in the interior compartment.
