A circular cutting blade being smoothly guided along a slot which extends along a length of the apparatus cuts the material. Additional storage compartments are provided which may be affixed to outer end portions of the apparatus to hold small associated items such as tape, thread, writing instruments, craft items, and the like.

The holding plate includes a rear plate vertically slidably fitted in the guide portions, and an upper plate projecting forwardly from the rear plate to move vertically together with the rear plate.     Abstract: A ticket machine for dispensing tickets from a strip of tickets having perforated joints is provided. The ticket machine includes a roller assembly, a detection mechanism and a bursting blade. The roller assembly adapted to communicate a portion of the strip of tickets along a ticket path. The detection mechanism is disposed adjacent the ticket path and adapted to determine the position of at least a leading ticket of the strip of tickets along the ticket path. The bursting blade is adjacent the ticket path and adapted to floatably strike the strip of tickets adjacent the perforated joints to separate at least the leading ticket from the strip of tickets. A method for separating tickets from a strip of tickets connected along perforated joints is also provided.
