  • Patent number: 11483966
Abstract: A conveying device is provided for an upwardly oriented, in particular vertical, conveyance of turnips or other root crops in harvesting machines. A conveyor belt with at least two lateral conveyor belt portions is moved in a conveying direction during operation. Between the conveyor belt portions is defined a particularly planar conveyor belt surface, and at least one carrier unit which projects from the conveyor belt surface and is supported by the conveyor belt. The carrier unit delimits a receiving space extending on both sides of the conveyor belt surface. The part of the receiving space which is arranged on the side of the conveyor belt surface which is opposite the carrier unit is formed by at least one detachably fastened pocket module and harvesting machines for turnips or other root crops having a conveying device.

  • Patent number: 9776819
Abstract: A sheet conveying device, which is incorporated in an image forming apparatus, includes a first detector to detect an angle deviation of a recording medium to a sheet conveying direction, a second detector to detect a lateral shift of the recording medium to a width direction, a third detector to detect at least one of the angle deviation and the lateral shift after correction of the angle deviation detected by the first detector and the lateral shift detected by the second detector, and a rotary body to perform a primary movement by (1) rotating in the sheet conveying direction and returning to a reference position and by (2) moving in the width direction and returning to the reference position, and a secondary movement by performing at least one of (1) and (2) after the primary movement.

  • Patent number: 9050548
Abstract: A filter assembly includes a housing and filter elements. The housing includes internal chambers between first and second parallel outside surfaces, fluid inlet bores, and fluid outlet bores. Each internal chamber includes a filter element that partitions the internal chamber into an inlet chamber section and an outlet chamber section. The housing establishes a plurality of fluid flow channels from the inlet bores, through the inlet chamber sections, through the filter elements, through the outlet chamber sections and to the outlet bores, respectively. Each fluid channel includes a transverse fluid flow component in the inlet chamber section and the outlet chamber section. The filter assembly may be loaded into a filtering apparatus such that a plurality of separate fluid flow channels is established through the filter assembly.

  • Publication number: 20090026243
Abstract: A method and system for feeding a continuous rod of elastomeric material automatically to a user unit along a feed line having at least one powered portion and extending between an extruder, for forming the rod, and the user unit, and wherein, upstream from the powered portion, the rod is fed along a supporting device defining, for the rod and when at rest, a first path of given fixed length; and wherein, once the rod reaches and is engaged by the powered portion, a movable part of the supporting device is withdrawn from the first path to feed the rod along a second path, one portion of which is a bend of variable length.

  • Patent number: 5494205
Abstract: Apparatus for festooning a traveling length of textile fabric or other web-like material comprises a frame supporting a pair of opposed spaced endless conveyor chains across which a plurality of fabric support rods are removably carried by the conveyor chains in succession with one another for supporting an individual festoon of the fabric depending between each successively adjacent pair of the rods. A secondary conveyor arrangement at the fabric entrance end of the frame is operative to temporarily remove each succeeding fabric support rod from the conveyor chains and, after a selected dwell time, to replace each removed rod onto the conveyor chains to control the festooning accumulation of the fabric on the support rods.

  • Patent number: 5074450
Abstract: An intermittent web transport apparatus in a printing machine guides the web between two processing positions and through an intermediate festoon. Web alignment deviations from a nominal value are corrected by rotation of a pivotable frame that is positioned downstream of the festoon. A correction roller before the festoon effects a shifting of the web prior to its entry into the festoon.

  • Patent number: 4367831
Abstract: A looper used in the manufacture of asphaltic roofing felt comprising a driven endless belt of spaced tubes adapted to carry loops of felt between adjacent tubes, a track inclined toward said loops, a trolley having fingers adapted to contact the foremost loop in the looper, rollably mounted on the track wherein the improvement comprises a chain driven at the same rate and in the same direction as said endless belt and means on said trolley to interlock with said chain actuated when said fingers have contacted the foremost loop whereby the trolley travels with the foremost loop and the fingers maintain a constant pressure or contact on the foremost loop, until the loop is pulled out of the reach of the fingers, whereby the fingers drop and deactuate the interlock means, allowing the trolley to roll by force of gravity until the fingers again contact the foremost loop and the operation is repeated.

  • Patent number: 4350275
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling the speed of a traveling web being driven along a path by means of first and second drive rollers located at spaced positions along the path. An emitter device is provided for directing a radiation signal at the traveling web at a predetermined location along the path between the first and second drive rollers so as to be reflected thereby, and a detector device is provided for detecting the reflected radiation signal and for generating a position indication signal indicative of the position of the detector relative to the traveling web at the predetermined location. In response to the position indication signal, the detector device is caused to move so as to maintain a predetermined position with respect to the traveling web at the predetermined location.
