Abstract: The elongate rocker is forked at its first end and includes two fork tines. These are designed symmetrically relative to the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the rocker. A control rod with a longitudinal center axis is pivotally mounted at its bottom end to the second end of the rocker. A spiral pressing spring with a longitudinal center axis acts onto the rocker. The upper feeding roller is designed symmetrically to a plane extending perpendicularly relative to its longitudinal center axis. The longitudinal center axis of the control rod defines together with the longitudinal center axis of the pressing spring a geometrical plane. • Patent number: 5110026
Abstract: The crank assembly of the advancing apparatus is eccentrically supported in an intermediate shaft. This intermediate shaft is in turn supported in an oscillating slide. Accordingly, the oscillating movement of the slide is superimposed over such of the driving pivot of the crank assembly. The intermediate shaft includes a cam disk. Due to the cam disk the intermediate shaft oscillates in operation and causes in turn the oscillating movement of the slide, which oscillating movement proceeds oppositely to the oscillating movement of the driving pivot. The sum of these two movements in the zones of the end positions thereof is accordingly zero. Accordingly, the driving pivot is at rest over a prolonged time span. Due to this prolonged rest period between individual feeding steps, elastical deformations of working structures and of the workpiece being worked upon, can attenuate and fade out prior to the working proper, and at the same time the length of the advancing is not subjected to a change.

It extends through a sleeve section of the web. A longitudinally displaceable shifting sleeve is located on the sleeve section, which shifting sleeve has a plurality of control disks. Accordingly, the period of the rocking movement can be selected depending on a respective selected control disk. If the sun wheel is unlocked, the shifting sleeve may be moved such that it engages directly the drive shaft such that by properly selecting the number of teeth it is possible to choose between a rotational speed transmission relation of 1:2 and 1:1.

  • Patent number: 5010834
Abstract: A needle thread feeding assembly in which the thread is positively fed at a desired stitch pitch while being clamped in between a presser roller and a drive roller, whose rotation is frictionally transmitted from a drive source. An encoder detects a predetermined amount of rotation and signals to restrict the drive roller, while allowing the drive shaft to continue rotating. A main-shaft-angle-detector detects predetermined angles adapted to operate the required stitch pitch and to start counting of pulses at the encoder. When a required number of pulses corresponding to the stitch-pitch is counted, the encoder signals to restrict the drive roller. Thus, the needle thread is positively and intermittently fed according to the stitch pitch.

Abstract: There is described a record material feed mechanism for use in an electronic cash register for feeding a record member to a printing station wherein data is printed on print lines located on the record member during the operation of the cash register. The feed mechanism will automatically position each succeeding print line of the record member adjacent the printing station on successive printing operations of the cash register. Included in the feed mechanism are a pair of cam actuated gear segments which control the length of movement of the record member between a home position and a position adjacent the printing station in the cash register. During the feeding of the record member to the printing station, the gear segments are positioned in tandem to move the record member a predetermined length while in a feed-out operation, the segments are positioned in an overlap condition to move the record member a distance which is one print line less than the feed-in movement.
