Abstract: The present invention provides an anti-misfit structure for a nail cartridge, which resolves the problems of a typical nail cartridge. For example, when a short collated nail is mistakenly inserted, it is likely lead to different triggering strength, and easier swinging and jamming of nail bodies against stability and safety. The swinging end of the spring of the nail cartridge is provided with a stopper. So, when the nailer head of a short collated nail is mistakenly inserted into the long nailer head dent, the stopper blocks the collated nail, thus preventing any misalignment and subsequent triggering of a nailer for higher stability and safety.

The connecting belt (B) is placed on the top face of the pressing plate (9) and supported. The fastener passage is so broad that even thick fasteners can be loaded, and therefore screws of various girths can be held at predetermined heights. Since the connected screws (S) are pressed against the wall face of the feed pawl (8) side, the engagement between the feed pawl (8) and the connected screws (S) is stable, and resultantly the reliability of screw feed is improved.

Abstract: A device for fitting articles including rivets, buttons and the like, to a fabric, comprising a lower tool serving as an abutment for an article, and a ram executing a riveting stroke. A lower end of the ram joins with an upper tool for impinging upon an upper portion of the article and for urging the article against the lower tool upon execution of the riveting stroke. A rotatably driven cam disc urges an upper end of the ram for controlling travel movement of the ram. A clamp is carried by the bottom end of the ram for movement in synchronism with the ram. For finger protection, the device is operative to stop the clamp in a position spaced from the lower tool during a first lowering movement.

  • Patent number: 5791548
Abstract: A feed roller 32 is disposed in a magazine section 1 such that the feed roller 32 is in press contact with the lower side of a sheet-like staple fed out of a cartridge 13. A rack is formed in the support means of the magazine section 1. The feed roller 32 is operatively coupled with the magazine section 1 through a one-way clutch gear 34 in mesh with the rack 33. Only when the magazine section 1 separates from the clincher section 4, the one-way clutch gear 34 operates to rotate the feed roller 32 in the staple supply direction. The rotation of the one-way clutch gear 34 can be adjusted by a gear ratio of the combination of the one-way clutch gear 34 and the rack 33. Therefore, a sufficient quantity of feeding the sheet-like lowest staple is secured. The feed roller 32 is rotated by utilizing the forward/backward motion of the magazine section 1 with respect to the clincher section. Therefore, provision of any special drive means for rotation is not required.

  • Patent number: 5715985
Abstract: An apparatus for delivering fasteners, such as nails, screws and rivets from a supply source to an automatic fastener driver comprises an elongated flexible wire helix whose pitch is such that fasteners can be supported by their heads between adjacent convolutions. One end of the elongated helix is coupled to a vibratory bowl feeder that feeds individual fasteners in a desired order and orientation into a holding station. The opposite end of the wire helix is positioned over an inlet chute leading to a fastener holding chuck and the distal end of the helix is adapted to be driven through 360.degree. by an indexing motor upon each actuation of the fastener driver. In this fashion, for each nail that is dropped from the distal end of the helix into the driver's inlet chute, another nail is picked up at the holding station and advanced in incremental steps along the length of the helix.
