Abstract: A box has a lower container and a cover. The lower container has a rectangular bottom wall, two first side walls opposite to each other and two second side walls opposite to each other. The cover has a rectangular main wall opposite to the bottom wall, two third side walls opposite to each other and two fourth side walls opposite to each other. The third side walls are adjacent and outside an upper portion of the first side walls, respectively. The fourth side walls are adjacent and outside an upper portion of the second side walls, respectively. A respective first tab with a through-hole protrudes downwards from a lower edge of both third side walls. A respective second tab with a through-hole is cut in both first side walls and has a side attached to the respective first side wall. Tamper evident means pass through respective couples of first and second tabs of adjacent third and first walls.

Abstract: A blank for forming a tamper evident container includes a plurality of panels connected together at fold lines configured for extending at least partially around an interior space, including a first side panel, a top panel, a second side panel and a bottom panel. A bottom flap is foldably connected to an edge of the bottom panel on the first end of the blank. A top flap is foldably connected to an edge of the top panel on the first end of the blank. The bottom flap includes a major flap and a minor flap, the major flap connecting between the bottom panel and the minor flap. The top flap includes a catch point feature and wherein the minor flap includes a trap aperture configured to catch the catch point feature of the top flap when opening a container constructed from the blank to provide a tamper evident access feature.

The carton is reclosable and resealable using an interior tuck tab that is formed from one of the carton panels. The tab has a perimeter defined by a line of weakness for separating the interior tuck tab from the carton panel, a first fold line for hingedly connecting the interior tuck tab to the panel and a second fold line spaced apart from the first fold line; and a pair of notches disposed on the interior tuck tab substantially parallel to the second fold line.

Abstract: A tamper-evident coupling system includes a first base portion, a second base portion, a first coupling portion supported by and extending from the first base portion, and a second coupling portion supported by the second base portion and configured for cooperating with the first coupling portion. The first and the second coupling portions are configured for defining an arming condition in which the first and second coupling portions are stably engaged with each other. At least one of the first and the second coupling portions includes a removable portion that is separable from the tamper-evident coupling system upon a first disengagement of the first and second coupling portions following the arming condition to prevent a subsequent coupling between the first and second coupling portions and to show a tampering with the tamper-evident coupling system.

Abstract: A decorative lighted cover for water jugs has an outer cover traversing between a top and a bottom end, with a design cutout traversing laterally through the outer cover and a light source located interior to the outer cover. The light source illuminates the interior of the outer cover, and the illumination is visible through the design cutout. An upper cover obstructs the top end of the outer cover and supports the light source near the top end. The outer cover is affixed around a water cooler's reservoir, and the illuminated design cutout provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Abstract: Packing includes a body section, a cover section, and a label. The body section has a first opening. The cover section closes the first opening. The label is adhered so as to span across the cover section and the body section. At least one of the body section and the cover section has a cut section. The cut section is located at a position where the label is adhered. The cut section of the packing is damaged when the label is removed. As a result, the label has a roughened surface in a situation in which the label is re-adhered. The roughened surface allows visual confirmation of an evidence of tampering with the packing. Thus, the packing is difficult to reseal, restricting tampering with the packing.

Abstract: A thermoforming packaging machine with a top film forming station, wherein the forming tool upper part and the foaming tool lower part of the top film forming station are disposed above a transportation plane of a lower film. One of the forming tool upper part or the forming tool lower part are operably connected to a lifting mechanism by a traverse system. The lifting mechanism is disposed below the transportation plane of the lower film. The traverse system transfers a lifting force from the lifting device to one of the forming tool upper part or lower part through the transportation plane of the lower film.

Abstract: A molded article comprising a food container top, and a method for producing same, is disclosed. The method includes providing a mold for forming the molded article, wherein the mold defines a frame, a utensil located substantially coplanar with the frame and a frangible link between the frame and the utensil, providing an in-mold lidding film having a heat activatable lower surface, positioning the in-mold lidding film adjacent to an interior molding surface of the mold, molding the molded article from a heated thermoplastic resin contained within the mold, whereby the heated thermoplastic resin contacts a perimeter of the heat-activatable lower surface of the in-mold lidding film, and the perimeter of the heat-activatable lower surface of the in-mold lidding film is molded to the frame of the article such that the in-mold lidding film hermetically seals an opening defined by the frame.

Abstract: The invention relates to a container and a blank for forming a container. In particular, the invention relates to a container for receiving a food product and having an improved hermetic seal to allow modified atmosphere packaging techniques to be used to extend the life of the container contents. The improved seal is achieved by avoiding or sealing gaps which can be present around the closure of the container. The container may comprise a container body with a plurality of walls formed by body panels of a folded blank such that each corner of the container opening is formed at the end of a fold line between two adjacent body panels of the blank. The invention also relates to a method for forming such a container.

Abstract: A corrugated shipping container having an elongated container body with an open end, and a lid to cover the open end. The lid and container have a through-lid grip opening and one or more through-lid locking ports for locking the lid to the container body with a cable tie. The through-lid grip opening is configured with an ergonomic profile to improve the lifting, handling and carrying of the shipping container, particularly when weighed with shipping articles, such as a golf bag and set of golf clubs.

When the carton is in an assembled configuration the information tab cover covers the surface of the information tab so that the information placed on the information tab is not visible.

The box comprises at least one wall, wherein said wall comprises a pair of overlapping flaps. The outer flap of said pair is adhesively attached to the inner flap of said pair to prevent access to the object(s) within the box. The outer flap is also arranged to release fragments without providing access to said objects if being tampered with.

The flap is connected is to a part (30) of the adjacent wall which is removable from the remainder of that wall along one or more first patterns of weakness (32). The connection being in a predetermined zone (34) of the removable part defined by one or more second patterns of weakness (36) so that when the part (30) is removed from the remainder of the wall (4), the predetermined zone (34) can be separated from the remainder of the part (30) along the second pattern(s) of weakness (36) to remain attached to the closure flap. The carton may be formed from a blank (10, FIG. 4).

Abstract: A tamper evident package includes an inner component having at least one product receiving pocket and at least one locking point and an outer component in which the inner component is slidingly received at least in part so that the inner component is removable from the outer component. The outer component has at least one tamper resistant tab in engagement with the at least one locking point such that the inner component is locked in the outer component. The at least one tamper resistant tab is removably connected to the outer component such that removal of the at least one tamper resistant tab allows the inner component to be removed from the outer component.

The rigid or semi-rigid container is typically provided in a stack of flat containers. The header is sealed, glued or otherwise secured to the containers. Two opposing side surfaces of the lockable closure have an interior lip that engages the box flap in such a way as to prevent the unwanted removal of the closure. The closure can be secured to the box with a locking seal such as a cable tie through locking holes located on the top surface and two opposing sides of the lockable closure as well as the box flaps and box sides. A hole allows removal of the lockable closure by exerting pressure on the flap. The disclosed method provides the steps of providing a single lockable closure, a plurality of receptacle boxes, and a number of locking seals capable of fitting through the holes.

Abstract: A tamper evident container lid is provided that includes a lid body configured to cover the opening of a base container having a top rim. The lid body has a skirt extending therefrom. The skirt has an annular score line and an annular fold line extending therearound. An outer band of the skirt extends between the score line and the fold line, and an inner band is folded inwardly to be in opposing relation to the outer band and extends upwardly from the fold line to an upper free edge. When the container lid is sufficiently applied to the base container such that the free edge slides downwardly past a top rim of the container, achieving a proper closure, an attempt to remove the lid will cause a plurality of sections of the inner band to engage the top rim and impede removal of the lid from the base container.

Abstract: A tamper-indicating label to be applied to a container. The label is longer than the circumference of the container, so that the label can be wrapped around the container and adhered to itself in an overlap area. The label includes a tamper-indicating mechanism in the overlap area irreversibly indicating if the label has been separated in the overlap area after initial application of the label to the container. The mechanism may be (1) an adhesive bond in the overlap area that is stronger than the label stock in the overlap area, (2) a line of weakening in the label, and/or (3) a frangible material, an adhesive, and/or printing that fractures and/or separates when the overlap area is opened.

Abstract: A blank from which may be erected a protective enclosed tamper evident container for the packaging of articles during transportation and storage has five aligned panels that form opposed roof and floor walls having a dome shape connected at opposite ends of the container by side walls having a concave shape. The centre panel forming the floor wall has opposed closure panels that fold over the roof wall to close the open sides of the container and are provided with locking tongues that engage slots in the roof wall to secure the container. The tongues and slots provide a tamper evident mechanism for securing the container such that no adhesive is required during the erection process in order to hold the container in its closed position.

Abstract: The invention relates to tamper evident tapes or soft packages, such as plastic bags or envelop, including new security features for sealing and rendering irreversible and unambiguously visible the opening of the package. The first new security feature concerns a plurality of U-shaped cuts extending through the tape, each U-shaped cut having an open end and a closed end defining a tearing edge. The U-shaped cuts are distributed and oriented along the tape so that the tearing edges thereof extend in multiple directions. The second new security feature is a thermochromatic layer present inside the tape and overlaying heat sensitive tamper-indicating areas also present in the tape. The thermochromatic ink layer intermingles with some markings also present therein and comprises an irreversible thermochromatic ink invisible at room temperature and activated at an activation temperature superior to the room temperature.

Abstract: A tamperproof package for gift cards utilizes a laminate of at least two panels for encasing a card in a durable package which is tamper evident when opened. The surface of one of the panels includes information desirable for merchandising and activating the gift card.

The base includes a panel projecting from the box and a tab projecting from and separated from the panel by a folding line in which there is provided a cut through which hook-shaped teeth extend and hook thereonto, these latter projecting from two opposing lateral flaps positioned below said panel in the box when closed. A method is provided for using a child resistant carton including a carton and a tray slidably mounted in the carton. The carton includes a body panel and a locking panel spaced apart from one another and defining a locking chamber therebetween. The tray includes a locking tab. The method includes inserting at least an insert portion of the locking tab into the locking chamber to resist withdrawal of the tray from the carton, and displacing the locking tab from the locking chamber to release the tray.
