Abstract: A clamshell packaging for airtight packaging of foodstuff includes a tray folded out of a single sheet. The tray has at least two adjacent pool parts, each pool part having a bottom wall and upstanding walls arranged around the circumferential edge of the bottom wall. The adjacent pool parts are hingedly connected to each other along an upper edge of a respective upstanding wall, so the adjacent pool parts can be hinged on top of each other to form a closed box. A circumferential, horizontal flange is arranged to the tray to at least some upper edges of the upstanding walls. A plastic barrier foil is arranged in the pool parts and extends onto and substantially covers the flange. The flange includes a seal zone extending along the length of the flange. The seal zone is line symmetrical along the hinge line at the upper edge of the connected walls.

The container consists of a molded hinged-lid, two hinged-connectors, and three compartments; one on the left, one in the middle, and one on the right. The connectors and hinges allow the compartments to be folded closed or to open away from one another. When closed, the compartments can be held closed by an eye and a loop on the left side. When closed the molded hinged-lid and its curved protruding lip cover the three compartments. The lid can be held closed by a loop in the lid's front and an eye on the right compartment. When open the molded hinged-lid can be held open by the loop in the lid's front and an eye on the back of the middle compartment.

A lid is defined by separation lines in the box front wall and in the box top wall, such that the lid is at least partly separable from the remainder of the box, wherein upon separation from the remainder of the box the lid is pivotable about a hinge line between an open position in which consumer goods can be removed from the container through an access opening of the container and a closed position in which the interior of the container is inaccessible. The reclosable package includes an adhesive-based fastener that utilizes a low tack adhesive and pivotably connected first and second compartments, each compartment configured to receive the plurality of products therein. Abstract: The present invention and its preferred embodiments relate to an article carrier which is shaped to provide satisfactory strength to hold the bottles securely but with a degree of flexibility so that the load transferred to the handle is absorbed by a carrier. The shape of the blank minimises the amount of paperboard required. The carrier can be applied to an array of bottles by hand or automatic machinery. It is anticipated that the invention can be applied to a variety of carrier and not limited to those of the basket carrier type.
