Threaded Patents (Class 229/125.24)
  • Patent number: 11718457
Abstract: A closure including a base, a cutter and a cap is described which is configured to be attached to a container. Upon initial removal of the cap from the base, the cutter is configured to move downwards relative to the base so as to create an opening through the container. The portion of the container through which the cutter creates an opening may be formed of a film that is configured to be easily pierceable by the cutter. Methods of molding the closure components may include co-molding the cutter and base an in integral unit so as to facilitate and expedite assembly of the base, cutter and cap components to form the closure.

Abstract: A foldable storage case comprises a one-piece, waterproof container. The container comprises a body, a bottom, and a cover, where the body, the bottom, and the cover form an interior space therebetween. The body comprises a plurality of body panels, the bottom comprises a plurality of bottom panels, and the cover comprises a plurality of cover panels. A plurality of removable fasteners is used to fasten together the body panels and the bottom panels. Further, each cover panel includes a projection adapted to be received by a receiving area of at least one of the body panels. When the cover is folded such that two or more projections are disposed adjacent each other within the receiving area, the projections and the receiving area interfere with each other, detachably securing the cover panels in place.

  • Patent number: 6478175
Abstract: An orientationally sensitive closure for mounting to a container in a specific orientation includes a closure body and a flange. A spout portion extends from one side of the flange and an orienting projection extends from a side of the flange opposite of the spout. The flange and spout may be coaxial with on another, with the spout centrally disposed thereon. The projection extends from the flange in a non-coaxial relation to the spout and flange. An apparatus for orienting the closure prior to mounting to a container includes a body defming inlet and outlet regions extending along a longitudinal axis of the body. Flange and projection receiving channels extend between the inlet and outlet regions. The flange channel defines a substantially straight-through path through the apparatus, along the longitudinal axis. The projection channel defines a path having at least two bends therein defming a portion generally transverse to the longitudinal axis.
