Abstract: A foldable container and method of storing adhesive in which a single strip of adhesive material is attached to a single release liner featured on a side surface or a flap of the foldable container. The strips of adhesive material can be peeled off a surface of the container and applied to and used to seal the top and bottom surfaces of the container as needed. The container features one or more release liner(s) each with a single strip of adhesive material attached only to the release liner and not a surface of the container itself.

Abstract: A box sealed by fixing a surrounding area of a mating portion of outer flaps and an end face plate by an adhesive tape made of a film as a base material. Information showing a forming position of a cut to function as a trigger to unseal the box is preliminarily indicated on the box. According to the information, the cut is formed on the adhesive tape only at a portion facing to the mating portion in a state that the outer flaps are sealed.

Abstract: A cover unit for inserting a puncture device such as a cannula in an anatomical structure such as a vein or an artery and for maintaining said puncture device in said anatomical structure, comprising a flexible film having a glue provided surface, and a removable covering layer to cover said glue provided surface, wherein said cover unit comprises a patient adherent member and a barrier member connected along a connection line, which is arranged close to a puncture site in a patient; said film being made of an ultrasound transparent material; said barrier member being provided with at least one slit or weakening line extending from next to said connection line to a side edge of the cover unit and provided in said film; and said covering layer in the barrier member is removable from the film separately from the corresponding covering layer in the patient adherent member.

One or more closure devices are contemplated for each box end, wherein each closure device comprises a first and second upper prong member forming a substantial V-shape with a common apex. A third prong member extends from the apex and between the first and second prong members, wherein the third prong member is disposed below the plane created by the first and second prong members. The first and second prong members are adapted to be positioned over a pair of aligned box flaps, while the lower prong member extends beneath a third, undermost box flap below the aligned box flaps, thereby sandwiching the three box flaps together along one side of the box end.

Abstract: A three-pronged box flap closure device is provided for securing together three box flaps of a moving box or carton without the use of adhesive tape or overlapping the box flaps to secure the same together. One or more closure devices are contemplated for each box end, wherein each closure device comprises a first and second upper prong member forming a substantial V-shape with a common apex. A third prong member extends from the apex and between the first and second prong members, wherein the third prong member is disposed below the plane created by the first and second prong members. The first and second prong members are adapted to be positioned over a pair of aligned box flaps, while the lower prong member extends beneath a third, undermost box flap below the aligned box flaps, thereby sandwiching the three box flaps together along one side of the box end.

Abstract: A box closure device engages and holds the flaps of a box in their downward closed position. The device is constructed in a general “I” shape such that the top member is parallel and connected to a bottom member by a vertical member. It slides inward between the opposing flaps of a box from one (or either) side of the box with the “I-beam” connecting member of the device fitting in the space between the flaps. The top and bottom members are of sufficient length, width and depth to hold the box closed. The device gains further operative value when promotional or box content labels, business cards, displays, signage, décor, pictures or the like are applied to the surface of the top and/or bottom members of the said device.

Abstract: A support mechanism for a container includes a container coupling mechanism, a flap overlap mechanism and an attachment mechanism. The container coupling mechanism is configured to couple to a distal end of a first flap of the container. The flap overlap mechanism is configured to overlap a second flap of the container when the first flap and the second flap are in a closed position, such that the second flap is between an interior portion of the container and the flap overlap mechanism in the closed position. The attachment mechanism is configured to selectively maintain the first flap and the second flap in the closed position. The support mechanism supports a greater force applied in a direction normal to a plane formed by the first flap and second flap in the closed position than a force supported by the first flap and the second flap without the support mechanism.

Abstract: A soft sided container that, when filled, is substantially cuboid in shape and has two flaps extending from upper edges of the front and rear panels. The flaps have fold lines such that, the flaps fold together. Holes cut in upper regions of the flaps form handles. Lengthwise across a top panel of the container is an elongated closure device that opens for accessing of the materials stored within and closes to seal the container. The elongated fastener continues at least partially across two triangular side flaps such that, when open, one of the triangular side flaps serves as a pouring spout. In some embodiments, a side flap retainer is connected between the side flaps to removably hold the side flaps in place against the top of the container.

Abstract: A foldable storage case comprises a one-piece, waterproof container. The container comprises a body, a bottom, and a cover, where the body, the bottom, and the cover form an interior space therebetween. The body comprises a plurality of body panels, the bottom comprises a plurality of bottom panels, and the cover comprises a plurality of cover panels. A plurality of removable fasteners is used to fasten together the body panels and the bottom panels. Further, each cover panel includes a projection adapted to be received by a receiving area of at least one of the body panels. When the cover is folded such that two or more projections are disposed adjacent each other within the receiving area, the projections and the receiving area interfere with each other, detachably securing the cover panels in place.

Abstract: A tamper-evident label for a carton having one flap or two opposing flaps includes a pair of end portions each having adhesive or other means for fastening to span the edge of one flap or opposing flaps of the carton. A central area between the end portions defines one or more strips which overlie an edge of one or both flaps. The central area defining the strips is unadhereable to the flaps and are in a condition such that, upon cutting therethrough to form ends on said strips, the ends will be displaced from the strip ends on the opposite sides of the cut.

Abstract: A box sealing belt includes two sealing bands, a gap band and two fastening ears. The two sealing bands are substantially in parallel with each other. The gap band is interconnected between the two sealing bands to form two opposing concave slots therebetween. The two fastening ears are respectively disposed at two opposite ends of either one of the two sealing bands.

Abstract: A closure for a container is provided, including a first closure member with a male feature protruding from a first interface surface thereof. A retaining ring is configured to mate with and thereby attach the first closure member to the first flap. A second closure member has a female feature configured to receive the male feature defined through a second interface surface thereof. The second closure member also has retention tangs configured to mate with and thereby attach the second container flap to the second closure member. The male feature includes a stem with two flexible tabs extending acutely outward from the stem on opposing sides thereof. The flexible tabs are configured to snap fit into the female feature. The first and second closure members are respectively oriented such that the male feature mates with and releasably locks to the female feature when the first and second flaps are closed.

Abstract: A rectangular box closure clip engages the two top flaps of a shipping container holding them securely without damaging the carton enabling the boxes to be reused without the need for being reformulated. The closure clip includes a pair of lower surfaces and a pair of upper surfaces interconnected by a central web that extends substantially throughout the length of the clip. The edges of the two upper surfaces are set back to facilitate insertion into the box. In a second embodiment, a vertically extending endstop is provided to prevent a box stacked atop the clip from sliding axially relative thereto. In still a third embodiment, a recess allows a binder strap to be installed around the clip to retain it in place. A programmable, scanable chip may be incorporated into the closure clip to facilitate tracking and/or to tamper-proof the package.

Abstract: A storage and carrying carton formed of a foldable sheet of material and adapted to be secured in a closed disposition with a flexible closure strap. The sheet of material is configured such that when folded into the carton configuration, it defines an upper flap that cooperates with the closure strap to define a carrying handle. Upon severing the strap to open the carton, the upper end of the carton is configured so as to be selectively folded flat and resealed with a second closure strap or, alternatively, folded so as to define upstanding lateral handles by which the opened carton and its contents can be readily carried.

Abstract: The invention disclosed herein provides an apparatus and method for securely collecting, storing, and disposing of documents by attaching a reusable, secure, lockable closure to a cardboard receptacle box. The lockable closure has a slot in the top to allow documents to be deposited in the box. Two opposing side surfaces of the lockable closure have an interior lip that engages the box flap in such a way as to prevent the unwanted removal of the closure. The closure can be secured to the box with a locking seal such as a cable tie through locking holes located on the top surface and two opposing sides of the lockable closure as well as the box flaps and box sides. A hole allows removal of the lockable closure by exerting pressure on the flap. The disclosed method provides the steps of providing a single lockable closure, a plurality of receptacle boxes, and a number of locking seals capable of fitting through the holes.

Abstract: A carton handle comprising a first base portion; a second base portion; a pair of retaining flanges which are extended outwardly on each side of the first and the second base portions; a connecting portion connecting the first and second base portions and a ring structure with a U-shape joined on top of the second base portion. First and second base portions are molded to have a generally rectangular shape and dimensions of an aperture in a carton wall such that, upon insertion in an aperture, the first and second base portions are movable to respective positions wherein the retaining flanges lie contiguous with one surface and the opposite surface of the carton wall.

Abstract: A box closure device releasably engages the flaps of a box in a closed configuration. The device has a lower element which extends generally in a first plane. An upper element is connected to the lower element and spaced substantially parallel to it by a central stem, such that portions of the box flaps are engaged between the upper and the lower element. A tab is connected to the upper element along a living hinge and is pivotable about the hinge from a first position extending substantially in the same plane as the upper element, to a second position which extends upwardly from the upper element, such that the tab may be engaged to assist in the rotation of the device when being installed in a box, and, when released, the tab returns to the first position. The lower element may be a planar disc, or may be cupped.

Abstract: A closing flap or clip is adapted to cap the edge of a carton in a first position and to free the access to a part of the edge in a second position. The flap passes from the first position to the second position by pivoting around a geometric axis that is perpendicular to the carton edge. The flap is formed from two panels or webs that are configured to fit on each of both sides of the edge when in the first position. First ends of the panels are crossed by the geometric axis. The flap has a hinge linking the two webs and includes means for connecting second ends of the opposing webs to their respective first ends.

Abstract: A container closure device and a method for securely closing a container includes a container with a first and second flap, said first flap at least partially overlapping the second flap when the container is properly closed. Each of said first and second flaps further comprise at least one opening. The first flap further comprises a closing means movably mounted in and extending continuously through the opening of the first flap and, when properly positioned and the container is closed, through the opening in the second flap. Upon the closing means extending continuously through the second flap, the closing means can be positioned so as to prevent the unintentional or inadvertent opening of the container, thereby reducing or eliminating the possibility that the contents of the container will prematurely exit the container during shipment of storage.

Abstract: A container body with a container opening and a flap partially secured to the container body and completely covering the container opening is disclosed. The flap is secured to the container by a hinge or fold line and formed from the same substrate as the container body. The container body contains a first magnetic region adjacent to and surrounding the perimeter of the container opening. The flap contains a second magnetic region aligned with and opposite the container body's first magnetic region. The first and second magnetic regions are magnetically attracted to each other. The flap is held in a closed position by magnetic attraction between the flap's magnetic region and the container body's magnetic region.

Abstract: The object of the present invention is a closing clip for Tetrapak® and similar packages used for the distribution of food items, with a pouring spout obtained by tearing a pre-established section near the two welded end tabs of a package. It is composed of a plastic body with a slit sized to encompass the terminal tabs. The slit is delimited by rough parallel surfaces that diverge near at least one corner of the body in order to insert the spout and, more preferably, along all the open sides of the slit.

The closure is pivotally mountable to the upstanding fin and extending along at least a portion of the fin panel. The closure is pivotal between a closed position wherein the side walls are urged over the fin panel to engage and compress separable portions of the fin panel together when the dispensing opening is closed, and an open position in which the side walls are pivoted away from the fin panel to disengage the separable portions of the fin panel to open the dispensing opening.

Abstract: A reusable packaging system is provided, whereby goods of all sorts may be provided to a consumer and the case in which the goods are provided is re-used. The case resembles a standard rectilinear cardboard case, except that at least the planar bottom is assembled together by the use of at least four snap lock fittings, where the female halves of the snap lock fittings are located in one pair of flaps, and the male halves of the snap lock fittings are located in the other pair of flaps. The invention provides a box washer where information which has been printed by ink-jet printer on the outside surfaces of the box may be washed off, a corona treatment unit for treating the boxes so as to be re-printed, as well as case delatching and erecting equipment. Because the cases themselves are made of plastic sheet material which can be washed, printed on, and deinked, there is no wastage of forest resources.

Abstract: A shipping carton (10) is formed from a primary box (11) and an extension box (12) adapted to be joined together in a connected position. The primary box (11) may contain a base product while the extension box (12) provides room for optional items which may be purchased together with the base product. When joined together in the connected position, the combined boxes provide the unitary shipping carton (10) which accommodates both the base product and optional items. The extension box (12) includes at least two stabilizing tabs (16, 17). The stabilizing tabs (16, 17) extend from a connecting side (32) of the extension box (12) which is adapted to abut a side of the primary box (11) when the boxes are in the connected position. The stabilizing tabs (16, 17) function to stabilize the extension box (12) from lateral movement with respect to the primary box (11).

Abstract: A box closure is provided for holding flaps of a box in their downward closed position. The box closure is in a general “H” shape, slides in from one side with a connector which fits in the slot between opposing flaps of a box. The box closure is operative in combination with the box and provides for holding of labels used to identify box contents. The box closure is formed with a single sheet of folded plastic material which is folded to achieve its final shape.

Abstract: A box flap securing device for securing two opposing box flaps in a closed position wherein the box flap securing. device includes a bottom member having an edge, a top member disposed a distance from the bottom member and in an overlying relationship with the bottom member, and a post interconnecting the bottom member and the top member. The post has an edge which is disposed in a coextensive relationship with at least a portion of the edge of the bottom member whereby the bottom member, top member and post cooperate to define a box flap receiving slot having a height at least equal to the thickness of the box flap but less than two times the thickness of the box flap.

Abstract: A one piece, closure for containers having a pair of upper entry-exit flaps and a pair of lower entry-exit flaps. The closure includes an upper member and a lower member with a webbed wall disposed between and attached to both the upper and lower member. In use the webbed wall is placed between the closed upper flaps. A portion of the lower member extends to the front of the webbed wall and serves as a platform for receiving a portion of the lower flap, without interference from the upper member, upon the release of the lower flap by a separate flap pull. The flap pull comprises an elongated arm having at one end a handle for gripping and at an opposite end a catch for engaging the lower flap and lifting the lower flap against the upper flaps, at which point a beveled edge of the lower member of the closure engages the catch portion of the flap pull and is inserted underneath the catch portion of the flap pull.

Abstract: The invention is a sealing device for connecting together at least first and second portions of a container, the second portion having first and second surfaces and an edge therebetween. The sealing device includes a first half of a hook and loop type fastener assembly, the first half having an adhesive coating for attaching to the first portion of the container. The device also includes a strip having first and second sections, the first section in the form of a forked end with first and second legs. The first and second legs include an adhesive coating for attaching the legs to the first and second surfaces, respectively, with the edge therebetween of the second portion of the container. A second half of a hook and loop type fastener assembly is mounted on the second section of the strip attachable to the first half of the hook and loop type fastener.
