Double Patents (Class 232/48)
  • Patent number: 11253094
Abstract: A parcel storage assembly includes a box that has an upper door and a lower door. A first tray and a second tray is each pivotally integrated into the box. The first tray and the second tray are positioned in a deployed position for having the parcel positioned thereon when the upper door is opened. The first tray and the second tray are each positioned in a stored position when the upper door is closed in order to drop the parcel downwardly in the box. An alert unit is integrated into the box and the alert unit detects when the parcel falls into the box. The alert unit broadcasts an alert signal to the personal electronic device when the alert unit detects the parcel to alert the authorized recipient that the parcel has been deposited into the box.

  • Patent number: 11253095
Abstract: A parcel drop box for receiving a parcel in the presence or absence of a receiver of the parcel. The parcel drop box includes a cuboidal enclosure with an open-top. A lid pivotally covers the open-top and can be lifted for gaining access into the interior of the enclosure. A pair of flaps coupled inside the enclosure to the sidewalls and just below a periphery of the open-top. The flaps can pivot between a horizontal position and a downward vertical position. The lid is coupled to the pair of flaps, such as pivoting of the lid results in pivoting of the flaps. Opening of the lid results in pivoting of the flaps to a horizontal position which restricts the access to the interior of the enclosure from the open-top i.e., the pair of flaps substantially cover the open-top when in the horizontal position.

  • Patent number: 10646062
Abstract: A security mailbox is configured with a door having an arm on each side of the door that extends downward from the door into a secure mail-holding receptacle. A floor of the mailbox is constructed having longitudinally extending flaps on each side of the mailbox. Each flap has a rail/slide mounted along an underneath side close to the centerline of the mailbox, each rail having a stop at an end near the door. A link extends between a distal end of each arm and a respective rail, with a tension spring that pulls the link and arm toward each other. When the door is initially opened, the arms close the flaps within the first few degrees of door movement by movement of the slides in the rails. When the slides abut the rail stops, the rest of door movement is taken up by the springs.

  • Patent number: 8336760
Abstract: A parcel box for receiving and keeping parcels in a theftproof manner has a box having a drawer which can be pulled out and pushed in, and a prevention mechanism that prevents unauthorized removal of parcel. The prevention mechanism has a placing portion on which the parcel is placed, a blocking mechanism that blocks pulling out of the drawer from the box when parcel is placed on the placing portion, and an unblocking mechanism that unblocks the parcel box drawer. The placing portion has two platforms, each having a first end and a second end situated opposite each other. The two platforms are facing each other or are placed in adjacent relation to each other, with the ends of the platforms directed to opposite sides. Each platform is pivotable about a pivot axle fixed in the drawer.

  • Patent number: 7077364
Abstract: A material-receptacle hanger system includes a base frame and a channeling-panel support structure depending from the base frame and being adapted for reciprocation along a reciprocation axis between a rearwardmost retracted position and a forwardmost extended position with respect to the base frame. Pivotably attached to the channeling-panel support structure are front and rear material-channeling panels. Each channeling panel is pivotable about a panel pivot axis that extends along an axis extending orthogonal to the reciprocation axis. A set of receptacle-supporting linkage members depends from each panel for the selective support of a material receptacle such as a parcel or mail sack below the channeling-panel support structure.

  • Patent number: 5560512
Abstract: An anti-scavenging device for deterring scavenging of goods from collection bins and receptacles, includes a frame mounted in an opening of a collection bin and a blocking member moveable between one position limiting access to the interior of the bin when the bin is positioned substantially upright, and another position blocking the opening when the bin is substantially inverted. In the preferred embodiment, the blocking member comprises two angularly-offset angular portions which freely drop into the two positions as facilitated by sliding supports engaging the frame. The blocking member are provided with supports to engage the frame, the supports being specially configured to prevent the blocking member from pivoting or tilting about its central axis as it moves between the two positions. Stabilizing bars may also be provided to maintain overall configuration of the frame.

  • Patent number: 4186869
Abstract: A mail box is shaped like a post which is to say it has a housing in the shape of a rectangular prism. The letter box pivots at its bottom front from the top of the housing. The amount the letter box pivots outward is adjustable and a weight on the rear of the letter box tends to pull it closed. The letter box is particularly adapted for urban and suburban placement where the mailman delivers the mail from a vehicle or where the mailman does not deliver the mail to a door side box.
