Abstract: A parcel storage assembly includes a box that has an upper door and a lower door. A first tray and a second tray is each pivotally integrated into the box. The first tray and the second tray are positioned in a deployed position for having the parcel positioned thereon when the upper door is opened. The first tray and the second tray are each positioned in a stored position when the upper door is closed in order to drop the parcel downwardly in the box. An alert unit is integrated into the box and the alert unit detects when the parcel falls into the box. The alert unit broadcasts an alert signal to the personal electronic device when the alert unit detects the parcel to alert the authorized recipient that the parcel has been deposited into the box.

Abstract: A parcel drop box for receiving a parcel in the presence or absence of a receiver of the parcel. The parcel drop box includes a cuboidal enclosure with an open-top. A lid pivotally covers the open-top and can be lifted for gaining access into the interior of the enclosure. A pair of flaps coupled inside the enclosure to the sidewalls and just below a periphery of the open-top. The flaps can pivot between a horizontal position and a downward vertical position. The lid is coupled to the pair of flaps, such as pivoting of the lid results in pivoting of the flaps. Opening of the lid results in pivoting of the flaps to a horizontal position which restricts the access to the interior of the enclosure from the open-top i.e., the pair of flaps substantially cover the open-top when in the horizontal position.

A link extends between a distal end of each arm and a respective rail, with a tension spring that pulls the link and arm toward each other. When the door is initially opened, the arms close the flaps within the first few degrees of door movement by movement of the slides in the rails. When the slides abut the rail stops, the rest of door movement is taken up by the springs.

The placing portion has two platforms, each having a first end and a second end situated opposite each other. The two platforms are facing each other or are placed in adjacent relation to each other, with the ends of the platforms directed to opposite sides. Pivotably attached to the channeling-panel support structure are front and rear material-channeling panels. Each channeling panel is pivotable about a panel pivot axis that extends along an axis extending orthogonal to the reciprocation axis. Abstract: An anti-scavenging device for deterring scavenging of goods from collection bins and receptacles, includes a frame mounted in an opening of a collection bin and a blocking member moveable between one position limiting access to the interior of the bin when the bin is positioned substantially upright, and another position blocking the opening when the bin is substantially inverted. In the preferred embodiment, the blocking member comprises two angularly-offset angular portions which freely drop into the two positions as facilitated by sliding supports engaging the frame. The blocking member are provided with supports to engage the frame, the supports being specially configured to prevent the blocking member from pivoting or tilting about its central axis as it moves between the two positions. Stabilizing bars may also be provided to maintain overall configuration of the frame.
