  • Patent number: 9818003
Abstract: An industrial vehicle comprising a tag reader, a reader module, and a diagnostic tag, wherein the diagnostic tag is coupled to the industrial truck within a read range of the tag reader. The reader module and the tag reader cooperate to identify the diagnostic tag and individual tags of a tag layout and the reader module discriminates between the individual tags of the tag layout and the diagnostic tag and the individual tags of the tag layout, correlates an identified individual tag of the tag layout with tag data, correlates an identified diagnostic tag with operation of the tag reader, and generates a missing tag signal if the diagnostic tag is not identified or the operation of the tag reader is not within specified operating parameters.

  • Patent number: 8424762
Abstract: A wireless IC device includes a cutout portion having no aluminum-deposited film that is provided at an end of an article package made of an aluminum-deposited laminated film, and an electromagnetic coupling module is provided at the cutout portion. The electromagnetic coupling module and the aluminum-deposited film of the package define a wireless IC device. A loop electrode, which is a magnetic field transmission auxiliary radiator of the electromagnetic coupling module, is coupled to the aluminum-deposited film of the package. Thus, the article package functions as a radiator of an antenna.

  • Patent number: 6333854
Abstract: A memory card including a circuit board and a card-shaped hollow casing for accommodating the circuit board. The hollow casing includes an envelope-shaped support member having an integrally molded structure, an opening being defined at a longitudinal end of the support member for insertion of the circuit board into the support member, and a lid member fixed onto the longitudinal end of the support member to close the opening. The support member cooperates with the lid member to securely support the circuit board in the casing. The support member includes an envelope-shaped receptacle defined inside the support member for receiving a major part of the circuit board. The support member also includes a guide portion for directing the circuit board to a proper position within the support member.

  • Patent number: 4447715
Abstract: A sorting machine for sorting covers comprises a transport device for moving the covers along a path through the sorting machine. A feed mechanism holds the covers and advances them towards the transport device. A vacuum feed has a first position for gripping a cover in the feed mechanism and a second position for feeding the gripped cover into the transport device. Additionally, the covers are passed in front of a recognition device which is operatively connected to a computer. The computer recognizes the covers to be sorted and instructs the sorting machine accordingly.

  • Patent number: 4336449
Abstract: A garment tag reading system which includes a Kimball tag reader and a data processing unit is described for reading and decoding information encoded on a garment tag. An interface unit is used to permit direct communication between the tag reader, which has a memory for storing the coded information read from the garment tag, and the data processing unit. The interface unit includes a column driver having a plurality of low voltage amplifiers which provide amplified output voltages in response to voltage-level increases caused by the programmed operation of the data processing unit. The output voltages are serially applied to the tag reader memory for interrogating the memory to retrieve the coded information. The information from the tag reader memory is received by a data input/output circuit in the interface unit in the form of decimal coded output voltages and is subsequently entered into the data processing unit for decoding into a readable format.
