Including An Imager (e.g., Ccd Or Camera-type Reader) Patents (Class 235/462.11)
  • Patent number: 11977951
Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods that match image portions of a first set of image portions and image portions of another set of image portions. This may be performed in a such a way that the sum of descriptor distances of the matched image portions is optimized in a globally optimal way. In some implementations, the matching is subject to one or more constraints, e.g., ensuring that each image portion of the first data set is matched with at least one image portion of the second data set and ensuring that each image portion of the second data set is matched with only one image portion of the first data set.

Abstract: A system and method for communicating at least one of updated configuration information and hardware setup recommendations to a user of an ID decoding vision system is provided. An image of an object containing one or more IDs is acquired with a mobile device. The ID associated with the object is decoded to derive information. Physical dimensions of the ID associated with the object are determined. Based on the information and the dimensions, configuration data can be transmitted to a remote server that automatically determines setup information for the vision system based upon the configuration data. The remote server thereby transmits at least one of (a) updated configuration information to the vision system and (b) hardware setup recommendations to a user of the vision system based upon the configuration data.

One primary issue with evaluating a Covid-19 rapid test is detecting and quantifying positive test lines from sampled test strips based on digital images of the test strip. Aspects of the present invention contemplate masking a QR code to improve the sample image resolution and contrast. Other aspects of the present invention contemplate methods and techniques to evaluate a test line on the sample image by enhancing an intensity curve along the test line and control line containing area by way of calculating the instantaneous change in pixel intensity and evaluating the position and intensity of those signals.

Abstract: Described are methods and systems for Virtual Multi-Dimensional Quick Response (VMDQR) codes, used for transferring data sets between code initialization devices and code retrieval devices, such as smartphones and other like devices. A VMDQR code is capable of encoding and sharing large amounts of data, regardless of the space available on an object. The amount of the encoded data depends on the dimensionality of the VMDQR code. A VMDQR code is incorporated into an augmented image, presented on a user interface of a code retrieval device. For example, an image of a real object, which does not have any physical codes, is augmented by adding a VMDQR code to give a representation of an object with a code. The VMDQR code is then scanned from the user interface using a scanner to transfer the encoded data to the scanner.

  • Patent number: 10692204
Abstract: A system and method for the detection of foreign object debris materials or defects on and/or under a surface of a composite part under manufacture. A member, for example an inspection gantry, is configured to move over the surface. A thermal excitation source is fixed to the member and is configured to direct infrared radiation across the surface. An infrared camera is also fixed to the member a predetermined distance away from the thermal excitation source and is configured to scan the surface as the member moves over the surface to detect and output scan information of the surface. A controller is coupled to the excitation source and to the infrared camera. The controller is configured to process the scan information from the infrared camera to identify a foreign object debris material or defect located on and/or under the surface.

  • Patent number: 10488912
Abstract: Mobile devices, such as smartphones, are severely battery-limited. The capabilities of mobile device processors have increased at exponential rates, but battery technologies have improved at much slower rates. As a consequence, it is ever more important that mobile devices be operated in battery-preserving manners. An aspect of the present technology concerns methods and arrangements enabling on-going recognition-processing of imagery and audio by different detectors, without the high battery drain that has characterized the prior art. A variety of other features and arrangements are also detailed.
