Abstract: A flow control apparatus includes a flow control signal generation device for generating a DC control signal based on an audio signal and at least one proportional valve. The flow control signal generation device includes an audio receiving module, a filter rectifier module, a microprocessor and a proportional valve control signal generation module. The filter rectifier module generates at least one DC audio signal by filtering the audio signal provided by the audio receiving module. The microprocessor generates a plurality of period attenuated values based on the DC audio signal. The proportional valve control signal generation module filters the audio signal, attenuates the signal based on the period attenuated values, and then performs filtering and rectification processing to generate the DC control signal, such that the proportional valve may control the opening ratio of the proportional valve based on the DC control signal.

Abstract: An elevator system includes a linkage, a control system and a friction belt drive. The linkage is adapted to attach to an elevator door. The friction belt drive is adapted to move the elevator door with the linkage between an open position and a closed position. The friction belt drive includes a v-belt with one or more markers arranged along a length of the v-belt. The control system is adapted to control the friction belt drive, and includes a sensor adapted to detect at least one of the markers.
Abstract: A shadow band assembly includes a platform and an arcuate shadow arm extending upward from the platform and terminating in a free end above the platform. A sun sensor mounting location is located below the free end of the shadow arm. The arm is preferably further supported by a vertical strut. According to other embodiments, the arm is hollow and contains a fluid conduit and/or an electrical cable. A sun sensor may be mounted on top of the free end of the arm and a fluid nozzle may be mounted under the free end. A shadow band pyranometer includes the shadow band assembly, a sun sensor mounted at the mounting location and a motor drive coupled to the platform for azimuth tracking. Additional sensors with zenith tracking may also be provided.

Abstract: An integrated solenoid system including a single housing containing a solenoid, a controller and one or more electrical connections. The controller includes temperature compensating means and/or voltage compensating means thereby providing predetermined, substantially constant currents to said solenoid. The housing includes an integral two-part end cover.
Abstract: A method and associated apparatus of electroplating an object and filling small features. The method comprises immersing the plating surface into an electrolyte solution and mechanically enhancing the concentration of metal ions in the electrolyte solution in the features. In one embodiment, the mechanical enhancement comprises mechanically vibrating the plating surface. In another embodiment, the mechanical enhancement comprises mechanically vibrating the electrolyte solution. In a further embodiment, the mechanical enhancement comprises increasing the pressure applied to the electrolyte solution.

Abstract: An apparatus for controlling or regulating the through-flow or passage of at least one liquid, particularly for temperature regulation or control, contains at least one valve with an electrical valve drive, which is controlled by an electronic control unit. The control unit makes available the signals necessary for operating the valve drive. The power supply for the control unit and the valve drive is provided by a thermocouple, whose one side is exposed to the temperature of the liquid to be regulated and whose other side is exposed to a temperature differing therefrom. The apparatus preferably contains a storage battery.
